Abstract

Hypertension is one of the most prevalent non-communicable diseases and a major contributor to morbidity and mortality rates in Indonesia. In Banjar Tegal Gerana, Sangeh Village, hypertension cases remain high, while public awareness regarding its management is relatively low. Therefore, a community service program was carried out in the form of curative health education aimed at increasing public knowledge about hypertension. This activity was conducted collaboratively between pharmacy students and healthcare professionals from the local public health center (Puskesmas). A total of 35 participants attended the session, which covered topics including the definition, risk factors, symptoms, complications, types of antihypertensive drugs, and how to measure blood pressure independently. A structured questionnaire was used as an instrument to assess knowledge through pretest and posttest evaluations. Data analysis using the Shapiro-Wilk test confirmed that the data were normally distributed (p > 0.05), allowing for further analysis using a Paired T-Test, which revealed a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores (p < 0.001). These findings indicate that the educational intervention effectively improved participants' knowledge. This program demonstrates that collaborative education between students and health professionals can serve as an effective promotive and preventive strategy for enhancing public awareness and independent management of hypertension.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the increasing occurrence of family problems in society, largely due to the diminishing emphasis on instilling Islamic educational values within the family, which weakens the foundation or guidance in dealing with life’s challenges. The purpose of this research is to examine the values of Islamic education present in the novel Jangan Bercerai Bunda. This study is categorized as library research, with data collected through documentation techniques, interviews, and analyzed using content analysis. Based on the data, the results of this study show that there are three primary Islamic educational values in the novel Jangan Bercerai Bunda: aqidah (faith), akhlak (morality), and ibadah (worship). Aqidah includes the utterance of phrases like Alhamdulillah, Bismillah, Masha Allah, Astaghfirullah, belief in the messengers of Allah, emulating the story of Prophet Yusuf resisting temptation from Zulaikha, and faith in qada' and qadar manifested through sincerity, patience, and trust in Allah (tawakkal). The aspect of akhlak involves behavior, such as morality towards Allah, expressed in worship like prayer, ablution, and trust in Him. Akhlak towards oneself includes honesty, patience, optimism, humility, and responsibility. Akhlak towards others includes empathy, avoiding grudges, and forgiveness. The value of ibadah includes both ibadah mahdah (obligatory worship, such as daily prayers, istikharah, and ablution) and ibadah ghairu mahdah (non-obligatory worship, like prayer and seeking knowledge). If these three values are applied in family life, they will foster a harmonious, peaceful, and conflict-free household that feels closer to Allah. Moreover, such a family can serve as an inspiration to others.

Abstract

It is known to cause respiratory tract infections in humans ranging from coughs and colds to more serious ones such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). This disease can spread through small droplets from the nose or mouth when coughing or sneezing. The droplets then fall on objects around them. Then if someone else touches an object that has been contaminated with the droplets, then that person touches their eyes, nose or mouth (facial triangle), then that person can be infected with COVID-19. The spread of the COVID-19 virus is increasing rapidly through droplets of saliva or out of the nose when the infected person coughs or sneezes. However, there are still very few people around the village of Sukaharja Rt04/02 (temporary respiratory protective equipment) when doing activities outside the home considering. Therefore, it is necessary to understand that compliance with health protocols must be implemented as an effort to break the chain of transmission of COVID-19. Based on these problems, the author conducted community service through the SEMI OFFLINE KKN UIKA BOGOR 2021 activity (Joint Real Work Lecture Against Covid-19 UIKA BOGOR 2021). The Group Activity carried out in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 was to distribute health equipment such as masks and hand sanitizers to the people of Sukaharja Village RT 04/02 Bogor Regency.

Abstract

Global environmental pressures that disrupt social and economic stability demand a financial system grounded in sustainability. Islamic banking holds a strategic position in implementing sustainable financing, as the principles of justice (al-‘adl), public interest (al-maslahah), and environmental preservation (hifz al-bi’ah) align with sustainability objectives. This study employs a descriptive approach through literature review using secondary data derived from journals, reports, and financial policies. The findings indicate that green financing practices through murabahah, musharakah, ijarah, and green sukuk contracts have encouraged environmentally friendly financing, although challenges remain due to low literacy, regulatory uncertainty, and limited innovation in green financial products. Nevertheless, Islamic finance holds significant potential to strengthen the national green finance ecosystem by channeling funds ethically, equitably, and in an environmentally responsible manner.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the role of business unit strategies in product and service innovation in Islamic banking. This study uses library research methods by examining various sources such as scientific journals, books, and official reports related to business strategy and innovation in the context of the Islamic economy. The results show that Islamic business unit strategies serve as a roadmap for achieving competitive advantage, as well as a foundation for ensuring that every innovation process remains based on Islamic principles. An effective strategy must be able to integrate Islamic value orientation, business environment analysis, internal resource management, and digital transformation. Product and service innovations, such as Islamic fintech, blockchain, and Islamic crowdfunding, are concrete evidence of the application of these strategies in responding to technological changes and the needs of modern customers. The relationship between business unit strategy and innovation is reciprocal: strategy provides direction for innovation, while innovation becomes a means of actualizing strategy in Islamic banking practice. Thus, strengthening business unit strategies based on digitalization and Islamic values is key to the sustainability and competitiveness of Islamic banking in the modern era.

Abstract

The development strategy of Islamic banks is highly influenced by the institution’s ability to manage both internal and external risks, as well as to overcome structural, regulatory, and cultural constraints that remain systemic barriers within the Islamic financial ecosystem. Internal risks include limited liquidity instruments, risks associated with profit-and-loss sharing financing, and low human resource competence. Meanwhile, external risks arise from national economic policies that are still interest-based and from global economic fluctuations that affect asset stability. This study employs a qualitative approach using the literature review method, in which data are collected from books, national and international journals, and relevant regulations. The analysis is conducted descriptively and critically through theoretical synthesis and interpretation of previous research findings related to risks and challenges in the development of Islamic banks. The findings reveal that the implementation constraints in Islamic banking development require a strategic and integrative approach through strengthening risk management, diversifying products and digitalizing services, improving Islamic financial literacy, and ensuring stronger government policy support for an inclusive Islamic financial ecosystem. These findings are expected to serve as a foundation for formulating policies and strategies to enhance competitiveness and ensure the sustainability of Islamic banking in Indonesia.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a non-communicable disease with an increasing prevalence and is often accompanied by chronic complications, one of which is diabetic foot ulcers that are difficult to heal and have a high risk of infection and amputation. Conventional management of diabetic wounds often fails to produce optimal results, necessitating innovative and evidence-based supportive therapies. Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is a blood-derived product rich in growth factors that has the potential to accelerate wound healing. Although the potential of PRP has been widely reported, healthcare professionals' understanding and readiness to apply it remain limited, particularly in primary healthcare facilities. This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge and understanding of health workers regarding allogeneic PRP, including topical or spray formulations, as a supportive therapy in the treatment of diabetic wounds. The community service method was carried out through educational and knowledge dissemination activities, which included material presentations, interactive discussions, and demonstrations of the use of PRP on diabetic wounds using simulation media. The activity was carried out at the Indonesian Red Cross in Semarang City, involving health workers from the Indonesian Red Cross and affiliated health care facilities. The material presented covered the basic concepts of PRP, the mechanism of PRP in wound healing, the differences between autologous and allogeneic PRP, and the principles of using topical or spray PRP. Data were obtained through observation during the activity and participant responses, then analyzed using descriptive qualitative methods. The novelty of this activity was the introduction of allogeneic PRP in topical or spray form as a supportive therapy for diabetic wounds to health workers, which is still relatively rarely applied in health service practice. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' understanding, enthusiasm, and readiness to consider the use of PRP as part of rational and safe diabetes wound management. It was concluded that this community service activity could increase healthcare workers' knowledge of the use of allogeneic PRP as a supportive therapy for diabetic wounds and has the potential to encourage the adoption of evidence-based regenerative therapies in healthcare facilities.

Abstract

According to the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics, pregnancy is defined as the fertilization or union of a spermatozoon and an ovum, followed by nidation or implantation. A normal pregnancy, calculated from fertilization until birth, lasts 40 weeks. Pregnancy is divided into 3 trimesters: the first trimester lasts 12 weeks, the second trimester lasts 15 weeks (weeks 13 to 27), and the third trimester lasts 13 weeks (weeks 28 to 40). Objective: This community service aims to address and prevent musculoskeletal issues and pelvic floor dysfunction commonly occurring during pregnancy and the postpartum period. Methods: The community service activities were conducted through interviews regarding subjective complaints, direct surveys, and presentations on appropriate prenatal and postnatal exercises. Evaluation was carried out using pre-tests and post-tests, as well as weekly exercise observations. Results: The conducted counseling activities indicated a change in the mothers' level of understanding. Conclusion: Structured prenatal and postnatal exercises are effective for providing education, early detection, and support to improve maternal and child health.
