Abstract

The function of social sciences, which Bung-Hatta described as having an academic enterprise and applied science, in this country's chaotic national situation cannot be separated. The social sciences play a significant impact in determining and advancing humanity's history. The nature of social science as an academic enterprise requires it to attempt not only the discourse about what happened but also what should happen. The social sciences have a critical role in the prevention, application, and prediction of human issues. But this is possible if the social sciences work together synergistically to complement one another. Keywords: Social Science, Human Life.

Abstract

The pandemic has increased the number of vulnerable workers who are suffering from the pandemic. Vulnerable workers are workers who are sensitive to economic shocks. Since March 2020, restrictions on community activities have resulted in sluggish economic activity. There are some reductions in the fields of production, distribution, and consumption. The decrease in total production has an impact on the decrease in the number of production factors used, especially labor, both directly related workers and workers who are involved in the distribution or marketing process. These workers are very vulnerable to losing their jobs and affecting family acceptance. Therefore, this study investigates the compensation benefits received by vulnerable workers in the formal and informal sectors in Aceh Province affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. This study uses primary data obtained by interviews and questionnaires and also uses secondary data from related agencies. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative which describes and analyzes a result by making a systematic, factual, and accurate description, picture, or painting about the facts, characteristics, and relationships between the phenomena investigated. The results of the field survey show that assistance programs aimed at reducing the impact of the pandemic are carried out at all levels of government, both central and local governments. These types of assistance are necessary to be implemented to reduce the impact of the pandemic. The aids are including Cash Social Assistance (BST) at the central government level and Social Security Program (JPS) from the Aceh Government sourced from the Aceh Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBA).Keywords: Social Security, Social Assistance, Vulnerable Workers, Covid-19.

Abstract

Childfree is different from childless; Parents who decide to be childfree are those whochoose not to have children even though they have good economic and biologicaladequacy. While childless usually refers to those who want to become parents butcannot because of certain biological reasons. Being a parent requires careful preparation. The childfree phenomenon is developing in Indonesia. This phenomenon began to bediscussed in the midst of the general public and caused many pros and cons in societyregarding the freedom to have children. Based on data released by the World Bank, thetrend of birth rate in Indonesia continues to decline, even in 2019 the crude birth rateper 1,000 population issued by the BPS where there is a decrease in the populationgrowth rate. The benefits of the decision without children can be optimal only if adoptedby a small number of people. This is because each profit tends to decrease as thenumber of people using the same strategy increases. Keywords: Childfree, marriage, reason of childfree

Abstract

Heart-lung endurance, more commonly referred to as cardiorespiratory, is the capabilities of the heart and lungs in supplying oxygen to move muscles for a considerable duration. Most calisthenics activities take up a significant duration of time, which requires the instructors to have good heart-lung endurance. Continuation exercises could positively improve the endurance of the heart and lungs and be more resilient to fatigues. The instructors continuously perform at least 5 calisthenics sessions for a duration of 30 minutes. The aim of this study is to find the existence of heart-lung endurance of calisthenics instructors from the Physical, Health, and Recreation department of the faculty of teacher training and education of Syiah Kuala University. This study utilizes a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The population of this study is the entirety of the calisthenics instructors of the Physical, Health, and Recreation department of the Faculty of Education of Syiah Kuala Unversity, totaling 11 people. The sample was selected through a total sampling method. The data was collected using a heart-lung endurance test via a 15 minutes running test (balke test). Based on the analyzed data it could be concluded that the average energy of the female instructors’ lungs was 49.75 ml/kg/min and the male instructor was 52.41 ml/kg/min, detailing (1) 9 female instructors, with a percentage of 90%, reached the highest score and were categorized as ‘good’, and (2) the sole male instructor, 100% of the sample, reached the highest score of the ‘average’ category. The result of the study showed that most athletes were able to effectively maintain and improve their heart-lung endurance, while some needed to improve them through continuous exercise.Keywords:Heart-Lung Endurance, Calisthenics Instructor.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the real impact of the COVID-19 pandemic for Micro Small Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and what recovery strategies are needed to be implemented from the perspective of business owners to be able to recover and be resilient in these difficult times. Although the negative impact is still felt very large, there are still business opportunities that can be explored in helping MSMEs rise from their difficulties, one of which is by utilizing digital technology, in addition to taking advantage of various assistance offered by the government through the national economic recovery program during the pandemic Covid-19 to push the MSMEs sector out of this turbulent condition. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method. Information was collected using online questionnaires and interviews with MSMEs owners in Aceh Indonesia, especially MSMEs who are members of and assisted by the Business incubator of Syiah Kuala University, including those who have graduated from the coaching program from this institution. The questionnaire was distributed to 50 MSMEs using a non-probability sampling technique. The results revealed, many of the respondents felt the negative impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. The biggest impact felt was a decrease in the number of sales turnover. As a consequence, the various efforts made, including business streamlining, reducing the number of employees, decreasing production levels and rescheduling credit payments from banking institutions. At the same time, taking advantage of business in the digital sector due to the implementation of the lockdown, many UMKMs in Aceh have turned to digital marketing, starting from very simple levels such as entering e-commerce to more advanced levels such as using the value ladder and funneling strategy to drive more traffic into their landing pages. Keywords: Revival Approach, Micro Small Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Business incubator of Syiah Kuala University, Covid-19 pandemic, the value ladder and funneling strategy, landing pages

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the teacher development system through training on teacher professional and pedagogic competencies and the outcomes (outcomes) of the teacher training system through training by the Central Aceh District Education Office. This research approach is qualitative and the type of descriptive research. Data was collected by using interview, observation and documentation studies. The subjects of this study were informants from the Central Aceh District Education Office. Data analysis used techniques in qualitative research consisting of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate that the teacher development system through training in Central Aceh Regency already has an integrated system, meaning that it is related to one system to another, starting with planning, implementing, and evaluating training for junior high school teachers. The measurement of the effectiveness of the results of teacher coaching through training is evidenced by the results of the Teacher Competency Test (UKG) scores, especially teachers. The improvement of teacher competence in teaching has shown a positive direction where teachers have shown creativity and innovation during the learning process. However, the obstacles faced by the Central Aceh District Education Office are that some teachers have low motivation in participating in training and the lack of teachers’ skills in the field of ICT (Information, Communication and Technology). Keywords: System, coaching, teachers, training.
