MARIOBRE or Journal of Marketing Management and Innovative Business Review is a journal published twice a year in June and December, by the Master of Management Study Program, Universitas Kristen Indonesia Paulus, Indonesia. ISSN Number: 3031-4208. This journal aims to discuss current issues and disseminate the latest findings in marketing studies and current business issues to the wider community, including scientists, practitioners and policy makers. We welcome submissions of original research in marketing studies and business research (e.g., consumer behavior, brand management, marketing analytics, financial management, operational and strategic management also Human Resources Management and Digital Marketing). Our journal adheres to the Open Access policy and currently no Article Processing Charges (APC) will be charged for accepted articles. MARIOBRE is a bilingual journal. Abstract

Abstract: This study explores the relationship between switching costs and customer loyalty, as well as how the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) can influence customer retention strategies. The findings suggest that high switching costs can enhance customer loyalty, particularly in industries that rely on long-term relationships. However, the loyalty that is formed tends to be calculative rather than affective, indicating that high switching costs do not always result in sustainable loyalty. The use of AI in customer management has proven to be more effective in managing switching costs and enhancing loyalty by offering more personalized experiences and reducing the negative perception of switching costs. The practical implication of these findings is that companies can leverage AI to develop more effective retention strategies that not only rely on switching costs but also on better customer experiences. This study contributes to the literature on the use of AI in retention strategies and customer loyalty

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh motivasi kerja, lingkungan kerja, dan disiplin kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan di PT. Asri Tritunggal Property. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 80 karyawan yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa motivasi kerja dan lingkungan kerja tidak memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan, dengan nilai t hitung masing-masing sebesar 1,822 dan 1,698 (di bawah t tabel 1,96) serta p-value lebih besar dari 0,05. Sebaliknya, disiplin kerja terbukti berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan dengan t hitung sebesar 4,181 dan p-value < 0,05. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa peningkatan disiplin kerja merupakan faktor kunci dalam meningkatkan kinerja karyawan. Oleh karena itu, manajemen perusahaan perlu menerapkan sistem pengawasan yang lebih ketat dan pemberian penghargaan untuk mendorong kedisiplinan karyawan. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi bagi akademisi dan praktisi dalam memahami faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kinerja karyawan di sektor properti.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis bagaimana dampak dari kemampuan Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) terhadap kinerja perbendaharaan di Badan Pengelola Pendapatan, Keuangan, dan Aset Daerah (BPPKAD) Kabupaten Intan Jaya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kompetensi dan keterampilan SDM di BPPKAD sangat berperan dalam efektivitas pengelolaan keuangan daerah. Faktor internal seperti kepemimpinan yang baik, dukungan manajemen, dan kultur organisasi yang mendukung berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan kinerja perbendaharaan. Sementara itu, faktor eksternal seperti kebijakan pemerintah dan kondisi geografis Kabupaten Intan Jaya turut mempengaruhi kemampuan SDM dalam menjalankan fungsi perbendaharaan. Selain itu, pelatihan dan penguasaan teknologi informasi menjadi faktor krusial dalam meningkatkan efisiensi dan transparansi pengelolaan keuangan. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menunjukkan perlunya peningkatan kompetensi SDM melalui pelatihan dan pengembangan keterampilan guna memastikan pengelolaan keuangan daerah yang lebih akuntabel dan efektif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kinerja pegawai pengelola pengadaan barang dan jasa di Sekretariat Daerah Kabupaten Mamberamo Tengah selama periode 2021–2024. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik analisis data yang terdiri dari tiga tahapan: reduksi data, display data, dan penyajian kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas kerja pegawai masih belum optimal, dengan 42,85% responden menilai kinerjanya baik, 35,71% sangat baik, dan 21,43% kurang baik. Dari aspek kuantitas kerja, sebanyak 42,86% responden menilai baik, 35,71% sangat baik, dan 21,43% belum baik. Indikator pemanfaatan waktu menunjukkan bahwa 47,15% responden menilai baik, sementara 30% masih menilai kurang baik. Dari segi kerjasama, mayoritas responden (62,85%) menilai bahwa pegawai memiliki tingkat kerjasama yang baik. Temuan ini mengindikasikan perlunya peningkatan kapasitas pegawai, terutama dalam pemanfaatan teknologi digital dan koordinasi lintas organisasi perangkat daerah untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pengadaan barang dan jasa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran fungsi kompetensi dan independensi pegawai dalam meningkatkan kinerja Inspektorat Daerah Kabupaten Mamberamo Tengah. Inspektorat sebagai Aparat Pengawasan Intern Pemerintah (APIP) memiliki peran penting dalam mengawasi pengelolaan keuangan dan pelaksanaan pembangunan daerah agar sesuai dengan ketentuan yang berlaku. Namun, hasil assessment menunjukkan bahwa kapabilitas APIP di Kabupaten Mamberamo Tengah masih berada di bawah standar yang diharapkan, sehingga efektivitas pengawasan belum optimal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Informan penelitian terdiri dari 15 pegawai Inspektorat Daerah Kabupaten Mamberamo Tengah. Data dianalisis melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi dan independensi pegawai Inspektorat berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan kinerja pengawasan internal. Faktor pendukung utama adalah pelatihan dan peningkatan keterampilan pegawai, sedangkan faktor penghambat mencakup kurangnya sumber daya manusia yang berkualifikasi serta keterbatasan anggaran operasional. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan strategi penguatan kompetensi dan independensi pegawai melalui pendidikan berkelanjutan serta penguatan regulasi yang mendukung transparansi dan akuntabilitas.

Abstract

BRImo currently presents a variety of services that will facilitate its users in conducting banking transactions. The problem in this study is that the system often experiences errors and based on reviews on Google Playstore there are many responses from users to the application. Because there are still some complaints and unsatisfactory assessments, it is necessary to conduct research on user satisfaction to find out how high user satisfaction with the BRImo application is. The method used in this study uses the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) method to measure the percentage of satisfaction of BRImo application users. This study will use the dimensions contained in the quality of cellular services that have been modified to suit the object under study in this study. The data used to be processed in this study were obtained from the results of a questionnaire totaling 15 questions. The number of respondents in this study were 96 respondents. After the data is collected from the respondents, the data will be tested for validity and reliability to find out how valid and reliable the data will be processed by the CSI method. The results of this study can be seen in the calculation of the CSI method obtained a percentage of user satisfaction of 83.59% and it can be stated that customers feel “Very Satisfied” with the quality of service of the BRImo application.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kinerja pegawai dan partisipasi masyarakat dalam pelayanan publik di Distrik Nabire Kota. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterbatasan jumlah pegawai, kurangnya pelatihan, serta minimnya inovasi dalam sistem pelayanan menghambat efektivitas layanan. Selain itu, rendahnya partisipasi masyarakat disebabkan oleh kurangnya kanal komunikasi yang efektif dan respons pemerintah terhadap keluhan publik. Implikasi dari temuan ini menekankan pentingnya pelatihan pegawai, optimalisasi digitalisasi layanan, serta peningkatan keterlibatan masyarakat dalam evaluasi pelayanan publik. Reformasi birokrasi berbasis transparansi dan akuntabilitas menjadi strategi utama untuk meningkatkan kualitas layanan. Penelitian ini memiliki keterbatasan dalam cakupan wilayah dan metode yang digunakan, sehingga penelitian lanjutan direkomendasikan untuk memperluas analisis dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kajian terhadap efektivitas inovasi digital dalam pelayanan publik.

Abstract

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) play a crucial role in economic development, particularly in emerging markets such as Indonesia. In Makassar, the culinary sector has become one of the primary drivers of economic activity, yet many SMEs struggle with financial management, particularly in working capital and liquidity management. This study aims to analyze the impact of working capital and liquidity on the performance of culinary SMEs in Makassar. The research employs a quantitative approach, collecting data from 96 SME owners through structured questionnaires. The analysis utilizes Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) with SmartPLS 4. The findings indicate that liquidity has a significant positive effect on SME performance, while working capital does not exhibit a statistically significant impact. This suggests that financial stability, particularly the ability to meet short-term obligations, is crucial for SME sustainability in the culinary industry. However, efficient working capital management alone does not guarantee business success, implying that other factors such as operational efficiency and market strategies may play a more dominant role. These results provide valuable insights for SME owners, policymakers, and financial institutions in formulating strategies to enhance SME growth and resilience. Future research is recommended to explore additional variables that influence SME performance, such as financial literacy, digital transformation, and external funding accessibility.

Abstract

Financial literacy and financial inclusion play a crucial role in ensuring the financial well-being of small and medium enterprise (SME) owners. This study aims to analyze the impact of financial literacy and financial inclusion on the financial well-being of SME owners in Makassar, Indonesia. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 96 SME owners through structured questionnaires. The research model was tested using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to assess the relationships among variables. The findings reveal that both financial literacy and financial inclusion have a positive and significant impact on the financial well-being of SME owners. However, financial literacy exerts a stronger influence compared to financial inclusion. The results highlight the importance of improving financial knowledge and expanding access to financial services to enhance SMEs' financial stability and growth. The study contributes to the literature by providing empirical evidence on the relationship between financial literacy, financial inclusion, and financial well-being in the SME sector. Policymakers and financial institutions should implement targeted programs to strengthen financial literacy and promote inclusive financial systems to support SME sustainability.

Abstract

This study discusses how dividend policy, profitability, and liquidity policies affect company value. The entire consolidated financial statements of PT Gudang Garam Tbk from 2014 to 2023 are included in the population being studied. The balance sheet and income statement of PT Gudang Garam Tbk were taken at the same time using a purposive sampling method. Classical assumption tests and multiple regression analysis were used for secondary data. The research shows that dividend policy, liquidity, and profitability simultaneously influence company value. The coefficient of determination (R²) has a value of 0.76, indicating that liquidity, dividend policy, and profitability affect company value by 76%. Other variables not examined in this study account for the remaining 24%..
