Abstract

Cikande Village in Saguling District, West Bandung Regency, has strong natural and Islamic cultural potential to be developed as a halal tourist destination. However, low public understanding and limited infrastructure are the main obstacles. This community service aims to encourage the development of halal tourism based on local potential as an effort to improve the sustainable economy. The method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR) through observation, interviews, socialisation, training, and the formulation of strategies with the community. The results of the activity show that before the program, the community did not understand the concept of halal tourism as a whole. After the program was implemented, there was an increase in awareness, halal MSME training, and community-based tourism development planning. The community is starting to be actively involved in digital promotion and planning of halal tourism supporting facilities. This program is the first step in strengthening collaboration between the community, village government, and universities in realising Cikande Village as an inclusive and sustainable halal tourism destination.

Abstract

Strengthening a political culture of decency and integrity is an important need in a democratic society, especially amid increasing political polarization, the practice of political pragmatism, and a low ethical standard in public communication. This community service activity aims to internalize Islamic political values, namely justice (‘adl), deliberation (shura), trust, and responsibility as the foundation for the formation of an ethical political culture. The method used is participatory training through interactive lectures, reflective discussions, case studies, and deliberation simulations involving the community as active participants. The activity began with mapping the needs to determine participants’ initial level of understanding, then continued with the delivery of materials and participatory dialogue practices and ended with joint reflection. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants’ understanding of Islamic political ethics and a growing awareness of applying the values of justice, deliberation, trust, and responsibility in social life. The internalization of values through a dialogical approach has been shown to encourage a more open, tolerant, and responsible attitude toward political differences. Thus, this activity shows that strengthening Islamic political values can be a relevant educational strategy for building a polite, integrity-based political culture in society.

Abstract

Islamic education plays a significant role in developing children's religious character and improving their ability to read the Qur'an, particularly in rural areas that still face limitations in educational facilities and low learning motivation in Qur'anic studies. Therefore, effective and well-organized educational management is needed to create a structured and sustainable learning process that meets students' needs. This study aims to identify and analyze the role of Islamic education management in increasing children's motivation to learn Qur'anic reading in the rural area of Cikalong RW 06. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method with a participatory approach, conducted through observation, interviews, and the direct implementation of Qur'anic learning programs for children. The findings indicate that the application of Islamic education management, which includes planning learning activities, organizing programs, implementing varied and engaging teaching methods, and conducting regular evaluations, has a positive impact on improving students' learning motivation, attendance, and participation in Qur'anic learning activities. In conclusion, well-planned and continuous Islamic education management, supported by the involvement of parents and the community, can effectively enhance children's enthusiasm for learning the Qur'an and foster the development of their religious character in rural environments.

Abstract

The use of digital technology in student organisations has not always been followed by adequate leadership and organisational governance skills. This community service activity aims to increase students' understanding and readiness in implementing digital leadership to support the management of student organisations that are planned, collaborative, adaptive, ethical, and accountable. The activity was carried out at STAI Putra Galuh Ciamis on February 2, 2026, by involving 120 students through participatory training in the form of material presentations, questions and answers, case discussions, decision-making simulations, reflections, and evaluations before and after the activity. The evaluation includes understanding digital leadership, organisational governance readiness, and digital communication and collaboration. Based on the draft dataset, the average overall score increased from 2.83 to 4.34 or by 53.04%. The highest increase was in organisational governance at 57.14%, followed by digital leadership at 51.84% and digital communication and collaboration at 50.57%. Participant satisfaction reached an average of 4.38 on a scale of 5. These results show the potential of training in improving participants' understanding and readiness, especially in planning, task sharing, communication, documentation, and organisational evaluation. Further assistance is needed to support the sustainability of the implementation of competencies in student organisation activities.
