Bhumiputra: Jurnal Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat Global adalah jurnal ilmiah yang menerima artikel dalam bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa Inggris, diterbitkan secara berkala dan berfokus pada isu-isu global terkait pembangunan berkelanjutan, kemanusiaan, dan keberagaman budaya. Jurnal ini menerima artikel dalam bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa Inggris yang berasal dari hasil penelitian asli, kajian literatur, atau laporan pengabdian masyarakat. Bidang kajian yang dibahas meliputi ilmu sosial, lingkungan, teknologi, kesehatan, dan humaniora dan bidang kajian lainnya. Tujuan utama Bhumiputra adalah menjadi wadah bagi para akademisi, praktisi, dan masyarakat umum untuk berbagi pengetahuan dan pengalaman dalam rangka meningkatkan kualitas hidup masyarakat di seluruh dunia. Jurnal ini juga bertujuan untuk mendorong kolaborasi antar peneliti dari berbagai disiplin ilmu dan memberikan kontribusi bagi pengembangan kebijakan publik yang lebih baik. Bhumiputra menganut kebijakan open access, sehingga semua artikel yang terbit dapat diakses secara bebas oleh masyarakat luas. Proses review artikel dilakukan melalui sistem peer review double-blind untuk memastikan kualitas dan orisinalitas setiap tulisan. Jurnal ini diterbitkan sebanyak 4 kali dalam setahun (Maret, Juni, September, dan Desember).

Abstract

Many small auto repair businesses struggle with promotion and managing their operations efficiently. IY AutoPlus Workshop is one of them, still relying on manual systems and lacking digital promotion. This community service project aimed to help the workshop become more well-known and operate more efficiently. The team created business cards, flyers, and a website for service booking and stock management. As a result, the workshop’s promotion reached more people, inventory was better organized, and customers found it easier to access services. With digital technology, the workshop has a better chance to grow and compete in today’s market

Abstract

Community Service (KKN) is a form of student service to the community that implements the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. This program aims to apply students' knowledge and skills in solving real problems in society. Based on an initial survey in Sawotratap Village, Gedangan District, Sidoarjo Regency, the KKN team identified modern agriculture and utilized the potential of limited land and increased food independence. One of the innovations developed is Hydroponics and Mushrooms. In the installation of making simple hydroponics as an alternative to modern agriculture, by planting several types of plants such as kale, spinach, lettuce, red spinach. The main goal is to provide solutions for residents in utilizing limited land and increasing food independence. The implementation stages begin with socialization and education to residents regarding the benefits of hydroponics, the tools and materials needed, and the steps to make it. After that, the hydroponic installation is assembled using simple language such as PVC pipes, RockWool, and plant seeds.

Abstract

 The Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata/KKN) conducted by students of Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Surabaya at IOM SURABAYA aimed to increase public awareness of the importance of mental health and bullying prevention. The program was designed using an educational and participatory approach, targeting children, adolescents, and parents living in the refugee area of IOM in Sawotratap Village, Gedangan District, Sidoarjo Regency. The activities included bullying awareness sessions, stress management education, individual counseling, relaxation training, group coloring, and bead bracelet-making as therapeutic tools. The findings showed that participants experienced an increase in their understanding of bullying behavior, early symptoms of stress, and practical strategies for emotional regulation. Children demonstrated a growing confidence in expressing their experiences with bullying, while parents gained new knowledge on how to manage stress within the household. Creative activities such as coloring and beading were effective in providing a safe space for self-expression, enhancing social interaction, and promoting psychological well-being. Overall, this program illustrates that simple, context-sensitive interventions can produce meaningful psychosocial impacts and serve as an entry point for sustainable community empowerment. It is recommended that similar approaches be adopted in other vulnerable communities to foster inclusive, mentally resilient environments.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the competitiveness of culinary MSMEs in RW 08, Wonorejo Subdistrict through a branding workshop. The workshop includes logo creation, promotional banner design, the development of a mini studio for food product photography, and the registration of MSMEs on Google Maps. A participatory approach was used with training and hands-on practice methods. The results showed an 82% increase in participants' branding knowledge and significant improvements in product appearance. This activity is expected to serve as an effective empowerment model for local MSMEs to face the digital era.

Abstract

 This community service activity aims to empower the refugee community in IOM Sawotratap, Sidoarjo, through training in making aromatherapy candles and mosquito repellents from natural and environmentally friendly materials. The main problems faced by residents are limited access to formal employment and environmental health risks. The activities were carried out in the form of counseling, demonstrations, and direct practice. The results of the activities showed that participants were able to understand the benefits of aromatherapy and independently produce quality candles. This activity contributed to improving the skills of residents and opening up opportunities for small, home-based businesses.

Abstract

This community service program is carried out as a form of student service to the community, with a focus on increasing the added value of livestock products through appropriate technological innovations. Fermentation of cow's milk into yogurt requires proper temperature control to produce quality products. The purpose of this program is to design and build an automatic incubator tool that is able to control the temperature stably during the fermentation process, so as to improve the quality and safety of dairy products. The methods used include field studies, microcontroller-based system design, prototyping, and direct trials with community partners. The result of this activity is the creation of a simple incubator prototype with an automatic temperature control system using a temperature sensor and heater that can maintain the ideal fermentation temperature in the range of 41-43°C. The implication of this activity is an increase in the production capacity of processed fermented milk in a hygienic and sustainable manner, as well as community empowerment in the utilization of appropriate technology that is easy to operate and apply at the household and MSME scale. This program aims to be a practical solution for rural milk-producing areas.

Abstract

This study aims to implement and evaluate the use of simple water pumps as an alternative irrigation tool to support the independent care program (ASMAN) of family medicinal plants (TOGA) in Jimbaran Kulon Village, Sidoarjo. Activities include identifying water sources, installing water pumps, technical training for the community, and monitoring and evaluating plant productivity. The results show that the use of simple water pumps can increase irrigation efficiency and TOGA harvest yields by up to 40%. Technical training has also succeeded in increasing community understanding and independence in operating and maintaining the tool. In addition to having a positive impact on agriculture, this technology is considered environmentally friendly, energy efficient, and has the potential to be developed as a model for empowering village communities. Therefore, the use of simple water pumps is an appropriate solution that supports the sustainability of TOGA cultivation while improving the welfare of local communities.

Abstract

This community service aims to design and build a sambel pecel grinding machine as an appropriate technological solution for small business actors. Small businesses, especially pickle sauce producers, often face obstacles in the production process which are still manual and require considerable time and effort. Through a technological engineering approach, this activity produces a prototype of a grinding machine that is efficient, easy to operate, and in accordance with the needs of micro-scale business actors. The implementation method includes surveying partner needs, designing machine designs, manufacturing units, and functional trials in the field. The results of the activity show that this machine is able to increase production capacity up to 3 times compared to manual methods, reduce work fatigue, and improve the consistency of texture and taste of sambel pecel. In addition, service partners receive training on the use and maintenance of machines, so that the sustainability of their use can be maintained. This innovation is expected to be a model for the application of other appropriate technologies in supporting the independence and productivity of small business actors in the traditional food sector.

Abstract

Kedai Susu Pak No is a well-known local culinary destination in the tourist area of Pacet, Mojokerto. The place offers a distinctive culinary experience with a cool mountain atmosphere and authentic fresh milk. This study aims to evaluate tourists' perceptions of the culinary appeal and image of Kedai Susu Pak No, as well as assess the effectiveness of its promotional strategies. A descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method was used. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with five purposively selected tourists. Findings indicate that tourists generally have a positive perception of the venue, especially regarding the ambiance, taste quality, and affordability. However, limited facilities such as parking and underutilized digital promotion channels are noted as weaknesses. Thus, improving social media-based promotion and strengthening visual identity are necessary to enhance the image of Kedai Susu Pak No as a leading local culinary destination in Pacet.

Abstract

This program is an effort to reduce plastic bottle waste by managing plastic bottles used become a pot so it can reused and for environment around. This program is also a goal to introduce procedures for planting ornamental plants in plastic bottle media and overcoming existence of pollution and damage the environment that caused from throw away rubbish plastic carelessly. Implementation of the cycle program bottle plastic this in progress in the first day and carried out in Giripurno Village with students of Miftahul Huda Kindergarten. Some of the benefits of this activity in addition to inviting targets to care about the environment, this activity can hone the creativity of Miftahul Huda's Kindergartern students as one of the learning media for Miftahul Huda's children regarding the use of waste and the cultivation of ornamental plants.
