Bidang kajian yang dibahas meliputi ilmu sosial, lingkungan, teknologi, kesehatan, dan humaniora dan bidang kajian lainnya. Tujuan utama Bhumiputra adalah menjadi wadah bagi para akademisi, praktisi, dan masyarakat umum untuk berbagi pengetahuan dan pengalaman dalam rangka meningkatkan kualitas hidup masyarakat di seluruh dunia. Jurnal ini juga bertujuan untuk mendorong kolaborasi antar peneliti dari berbagai disiplin ilmu dan memberikan kontribusi bagi pengembangan kebijakan publik yang lebih baik. Bhumiputra menganut kebijakan open access, sehingga semua artikel yang terbit dapat diakses secara bebas oleh masyarakat luas. Proses review artikel dilakukan melalui sistem peer review double-blind untuk memastikan kualitas dan orisinalitas setiap tulisan. Jurnal ini diterbitkan sebanyak 4 kali dalam setahun (Maret, Juni, September, dan Desember).

Abstract

This work program aims to increase knowledge and raise community awareness about the importance management and supervision of mediacition usage. In crayying out this program, we proper management and suoervision of medivation usage, In carraying out this program, we involed 16 member of the Family Empowerent and Walfare Organization (PKK) as the target for education on the over-the-counter medications commonly kept at home as a means pf self-treatment without medical asistence. The implementation of the activity was divided into three parts: the first part was the introduction, the second part involved a direct presentation of the material, and the third part was the closing, which included a Q&A session and discussion. The result of this activity showed an improvement in the community’s knowledge, understing, and awareness regarding the proper ways to obtain, use, and dispose of medication. In conclusion, the DAGUSIBU health seminar successfully had positive impact on improving the safety of medication use in the community.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk melaporkan dan menginformasikan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dalam bentuk ceramah dan diskusi serta pemberian tugas dan penilaian dalam hal penulisan policy brief bagi para peneliti di lingkungan lembaga penelitian swadaya masyarakat Center for Strategic Development Studies (CSDS). Artikel ini disusun dengan menjelaskan proses lokakarya yang dilakukan oleh pelaksana beserta output yang dihasilkan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini melahirkan luaran berupa draft policy brief dan umpan balik berupa komentar dan masukan dari pelaksana.

Abstract

This study was motivated by low student attendance at the Qur’anic Learning Center (TPA) of Al-Azhar Mosque, affecting religious learning activities. The aim was to analyze the effectiveness of rewards in improving attendance and motivation. The study used Participatory Action Research (PAR) with Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) techniques, involving interviews, observations, and documentation. The results showed that rewards such as praise, small gifts, and certificates successfully increased student attendance. Attendance rose from 60% to 85%, a 25% improvement after the program. Students’ motivation and participation in TPA activities also improved. Positive responses came from teachers and parents, noting that children were more enthusiastic and disciplined. However, challenges included some students remaining unaffected and the need for varied rewards to maintain interest. Overall, the reward program effectively increased student attendance and motivation and is recommended for continuous implementation with further innovation.

Abstract

The problem of household waste management in Damarguna Village, Ciledug District, requires the right solution. Damarguna Village is divided into three blocks, namely Pon, Wage and Pahing. From the three blocks, there is only one TPS in the Pon block and open burning of waste causes air pollution and other negative impacts. In an effort to overcome this problem, KKN Students of Swadaya Gunung Jati University have tried to handle this problem by utilizing used barrels as a means of burning waste with minimal smoke. The community is introduced to the use of these barrels, which not only reduce smoke pollution, but can also be used as a burning briquette from the remaining corn cobs as an alternative fuel. This program can successfully increase public awareness in managing waste and show the potential for reducing adverse environmental impacts. This innovation opens up opportunities for Damarguna Village as an example of independent and sustainable waste management, and can be applied in other villages.

Abstract

This service aims to increase public awareness of the importance of mosque cleanliness through the active role of mosque youth as agents of change. The activity was carried out at the Al-Husna Mosque, Palangka Raya, using an educational and participatory approach. The methods used included initial observation, installation of posters appealing for cleanliness, and routine cleaning actions carried out by mosque youth without direct community involvement. The results of the activity showed that the involvement of mosque youth was able to build a culture of concern for the cleanliness of the worship environment. Youth are not only implementers, but also inspirators of social change, although there are still challenges in the form of low community participation in general. This activity is expected to be an example for other mosques in forming collective awareness and a sustainable clean culture.

Abstract

This study discusses the role of interactive media in motivating learning for students with special needs in Islamic Religious Education (PAI). This study uses a literature review method by collecting and analyzing literature related to the role of interactive media in motivating learning for students with special needs. The analysis was carried out qualitatively by describing and integrating findings from various sources. Data validity is maintained by selecting credible and up-to-date sources. In the context of inclusive education, students with special needs often face challenges in understanding the material. The use of interactive media, such as videos and technology-based applications, is expected to increase student engagement and motivation to learn. The results of the study showed that interactive media significantly improved conceptual understanding and created an inclusive learning environment. However, a personal approach is needed to overcome differences in student responses

Abstract

Writing high-quality teaching materials is an essential skill for teachers to enhance the effectiveness of learning. However, many teachers still face difficulties in developing teaching materials that are systematic, engaging, and aligned with the curriculum. This mentoring program aims to analyze the effectiveness of guided mentoring-based teaching material writing assistance at SDN 11 Ampang, Padang City. The mentoring process employs the Service Learning (SL) method, which includes several stages: needs identification, planning, implementation, as well as reflection and evaluation. The results of the mentoring indicate that guided mentoring-based assistance positively impacts the improvement of teachers’ competencies in preparing teaching materials. Teachers showed progress in technical skills, creativity, and understanding of curriculum standards. Therefore, this mentoring model is effective in enhancing teachers’ skills in producing higher-quality teaching materials. This approach can be recommended as a strategy for professional development of teachers in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the combination of ecoenzyme and phytoremediation using water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes) in the treatment of acid-base test laboratory waste containing vinegar and baking soda. The research method involved five treatments with variations in waste volume and the addition of ecoenzyme, as well as observations of the Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) and pH parameters for five days. The results of the observations showed that phytoremediation alone (Treatments 1 and 2) was able to reduce TDS, but the addition of ecoenzyme significantly increased the efficiency of TDS reduction. Treatment 3 (600 ml of waste = 50 ml of ecoenzyme + water hyacinth) showed the most drastic decrease in TDS from 538 mg/L to 210 mg/L. Treatment 4 (1200 ml of waste + 50 ml of ecoenzyme + water hyacinth) also showed a significant decrease in TDS from 538 mg/L to 245 mg/L. In addition, the addition of ecoenzyme helped stabilize the pH of the waste, tending to be close to neutral. The pH fluctuation in the treatment with ecoenzyme was more controlled compared to the phytoremediation treatment without ecoenzyme. The results of this study indicate that the combination of ecoenzyme and phytoremediation is an effective and potential method for processing laboratory waste from acid-base test practicums.

Abstract

Defamation is one of the criminal acts that fall into the qualification of insult. Defamation is regulated in Article 310 of the Criminal Code and in Article 27 Paragraph (3) of the Electronic Information and Transaction Law. The purpose of the existence of this legal rule on defamation is to protect the dignity and dignity of every person, especially regarding the honorable self-esteem (eer) and good name (goeden naam) of a person due to the use of social media that has a negative impact. The formulation of the problem discussed in this paper is to analyze (1) The regulation of the crime of defamation in the Criminal Code and Article 27 Paragraph (3) of the Law on Information and Electronic Transactions due to the use of social media that has a negative impact. The writing method used is normative research, which is research that relies on secondary data sources as the main reference data. The results obtained from the research were concluded (1) Regulations regarding the crime of defamation are regulated in Article 27 paragraph (3) of the Law on Information and Electronic Transactions. To determine whether the defamation element in the ITE Law has been fulfilled, it must refer to Article 310 of the Criminal Code. The negative impact caused is that the use of social media itself makes adolescents lazy and rarely socializes face-to-face with others so that it has the potential to make adolescents become anti-social individuals, addiction which leads to reduced time efficiency, consumption, mental health of adolescents, affects the decline of moral values and ethics of the younger generation, decreases the quality of critical thinking of adolescents, and the ease of being influenced by information that is not yet known to be true as seen from the ITE Law issued by the government to be a guideline in the implementation of Article 27 paragraph (3) of the ITE Law which aims to create legal certainty with solutions such as setting a healthy time limit; Build awareness of the emotional impact; Develop critical skills; Provide an understanding of online privacy; Focus on offline social interactions; Implementation of the ITE Law.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of validity of the Smart Book Netra (SBN) learning media prototype to improve student learning outcomes. In the current digital era, students are very active in using social media, especially Tiktok social media, which is 78% compared to other social media, even Tiktok social media users have increased by around 14.3 million per month. Seeing this problem, the researcher created a new innovation, Smart Book Netra (SBN), namely an innovation in character education learning media that can connect the virtual world with the real world at the same time. This media is also equipped with Braille letters that can be used by people with visual impairments. The type of research in writing this article is R&D using the Borg and Gall model. This study emphasizes the analysis of student needs. However, in this study, the researcher only reached the fifth stage, namely product revision. The data collection techniques in this study were through observation, questionnaires, literature studies, documentation and trials, then the analysis techniques used by the researcher were media expert validation, material expert validation analysis techniques and trial analysis techniques. The results of this study show that the Smart Book Netra (SBN) has a validity level of 92%.
