Abstract

Quality of education is a central issue in Indonesian national development which is up to now Still becoming serious attention of various stakeholder interests (Liebowitz & Porter, 2019). In general terms, the portrait quality of Indonesian education still shows a number of gaps that need to be filled to get handled systematically and sustainably. This study aims to determine and analyze the Analysis of Principal Leadership Style in Improving Teacher Work Motivation and Performance in the Digital Era at State Vocational High School 1 Lintongnihuta. This research was conducted at State Vocational High School 1 Lintongnihuta, Humbang Hasundutan Regency, North Sumatra Province. The data collected in this study covers three focuses in this study, namely the principal's leadership style, teacher work motivation, and teacher performance in the context of the digital era. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Overall, this study concludes that in the context of vocational high schools in the non-metropolitan Christian Batak region, effective principal leadership is not only determined by a technical transformational-situational approach, but must be combined with a deep understanding of the local cultural, spiritual, and infrastructure context. These three dimensions together form an ecosystem that allows teacher motivation and performance to develop sustainably in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the management of the implementation of the Indonesia Smart Program (Program Indonesia Pintar/PIP) at SMA Negeri 2 Sidikalang. The study focuses on key management processes, including the identification of prospective beneficiaries, verification and determination of recipients, fund disbursement, as well as reporting and program evaluation. A qualitative approach with a descriptive method was employed. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, involving the school principal, PIP administrators, and representatives of student beneficiaries. Data analysis was conducted through the processes of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings reveal that, at the planning stage, the implementation of PIP is based on administrative data, such as Dapodik, and supporting documents including KIP, KKS/PKH, and certificates of financial hardship (SKTM). At the organizing stage, the verification and determination of beneficiaries are conducted through internal meetings involving the principal and homeroom teachers. At the implementation stage, information regarding fund disbursement is communicated to students through official circular letters and school communication media; however, such information is often received by students on short notice. At the supervision stage, the school has carried out systematic annual data collection of beneficiaries; however, formal mechanisms for evaluation and grievance handling have not been optimally implemented. The study further identifies several challenges in the implementation of PIP, including limited transparency of information for students and parents, constraints in conducting factual verification in the field, and differing interpretations of the program's technical guidelines. Therefore, it is necessary to enhance transparency, strengthen program socialization, and improve evaluation mechanisms to ensure that the implementation of PIP is more effective, accountable, and accurately targeted

Abstract

This study aims to analyze teachers' classroom management strategies in supporting deep learning within the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in a rural school with minimal facilities. The primary research problem highlights the massive gap between the high demands of the national education curriculum and factual field conditions regarding limited digital infrastructure and the severe physical fatigue of students working in fields after school. The researcher applied a qualitative method approach featuring a single case study design, collecting data through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. Research findings demonstrate that school leaders simplify administrative burdens to grant teaching autonomy to teachers. Furthermore, teachers manage classrooms by validating physical fatigue to foster full learning awareness (mindful). Educators also exploit rich local ecology and culture as authentic laboratories to present highly meaningful and joyful learning without relying on advanced technology. Additionally, educators implement formative evaluations instantly on the spot and eliminate homework burdens to protect students' resting rights. The main conclusion asserts that pedagogical engineering based on empathetic values successfully overcomes all educational facility limitations. Finally, the researcher recommends the education office legitimize these contextual practices, principals issue no homework policies, and teachers routinely integrate rural ecological projects into learning scenarios

Abstract

This study aims to test and analyze the effect of character education management implementation and homeroom teacher mentoring on the character changes of tenth-grade students at SMK Negeri 3 Kota Tebing Tinggi. The main problem in this research is the persistence of student disciplinary violations, indicating suboptimal character education and mentoring in the school environment. The researcher applied a quantitative approach with an associative causal method. The researcher collected data by distributing questionnaires to 154 students as a sample selected through a proportional stratified random sampling technique. Subsequently, the researcher analyzed the data using multiple linear regression. The findings reveal that the implementation of character education management and homeroom teacher mentoring partially exert a positive and significant effect on student character changes. Furthermore, both variables simultaneously influence student character changes positively and significantly, contributing 28.8%. The researcher concludes that combining a robust school management system with a humanistic teacher approach creates a strong educational ecosystem to improve student character. The researcher recommends the school maintain this program and provide specific training for homeroom teachers, while directing future researchers to examine other external factors beyond this study.
