Abstract

This community service activity aims to increase the capacity of MSMEs in terms of digital financial reporting, human resource development, and digital marketing strategies. This program was implemented from March to April 2025 at the UMKM Pendopo of the Semarang City Cooperatives and Micro Enterprises Service with a participatory approach. The methods used include interactive training, direct practice, and intensive post-training mentoring. The results of the activity showed that participants experienced significant improvements in their ability to prepare financial reports, manage HR, and use social media for marketing. This service has a real impact on the transformation of participants' mindsets and business practices, and encourages the formation of a sustainable business community.

Abstract

Household waste management is an important issue that needs attention in the community, especially in Bendosari-Tegalrejo Village, Yogyakarta. The aim of this community service is to educate residents on proper waste management practices to enable them to utilize waste that has economic value. The method used for this activity involves lectures and interactive discussions, engaging local PKK members. The analysis technique applied includes observation and evaluation of participants' understanding before and after the education. Results indicate an increase in community awareness regarding the importance of waste sorting and the utilization of sellable waste. Participants expressed high enthusiasm during discussions and reached an agreement to implement waste sorting in their environment. Thus, this activity is expected to positively impact the community's awareness of waste management.

Abstract

Diabetes also increases the risk of hypertension. Chronically elevated blood glucose levels in individuals with diabetes can damage blood vessels, causing them to become stiff and narrowed, which ultimately raises blood pressure. Chronic pain in the elderly not only reduces their quality of life but also limits daily activities and may worsen underlying medical conditions. Many elderly individuals lack adequate knowledge about non-pharmacological or complementary methods of pain management, often relying solely on painkillers, which carry the risk of side effects when used long-term. The purpose of this devotion to improve the knowledge of elderly individuals with hypertension and diabetes mellitus regarding the management of their conditions and to introduce various safe and effective complementary therapies to reduce pain among those with diabetes and hypertension at the Integrated Health Coaching Post (Posbindu) in Gunung Mujil Village, Gombong Subdistrict. This activity included a health education session on chronic diseases (diabetes mellitus and hypertension) combined with a pre-test and post-test, as well as a demonstration of autogenic complementary therapy. A total of 54 participants with diabetes mellitus and hypertension attended, with educational backgrounds ranging from elementary school (10%), junior high school (20%), and high school (70%). The average participant knowledge scores across all question categories (pre-test and post-test) showed a significant increase from the pre-test to the post-test phase. The overall average knowledge score increased dramatically from 43.6 points to 87.2 points, indicating nearly a twofold improvement following the health education intervention.

Abstract

Business legality is a standard that must be met by business actors so that their businesses can be declared legally valid. Business legality is a form of approval and permission from the government for the implementation of business activities by MSMEs. This community service program, specifically targeting SMEs in Bulaksari Village, Cilacap Regency, aims to enhance MSMEs' understanding of the importance of business legality. The community service team consists of academic staff from the Accounting Program at STIE Muhammadiyah Cilacap. Business legality plays a crucial role in fostering consumer trust and the sustainability of MSMEs. Through basic management and business legality training for MSME operators. Through this outreach program, the initiative broadens the horizons of MSMEs and encourages them to formalize their businesses promptly to avoid future legal risks. This business legalization outreach program is expected to facilitate MSMEs' access to government services and financial institutions, thereby strengthening the MSME business ecosystem in Cilacap Regency for the better in the future.

Abstract

Stunting remains a major challenge in improving human resource quality in Indonesia. Temanggung Regency has been recorded as the region with the highest stunting prevalence in Central Java Province, reaching 27.3% in 2024. In response to this condition, Universitas Tidar’s community service students implemented a nutrition education program for elementary school students through an initiative called Giziland, conducted at SD Negeri Butuh. This activity aimed to enhance children’s understanding of nutritious food as an early prevention effort against stunting. The program consisted of two stages: an initial survey and an educational socialization session. The activities were tailored to the students’ grade levels: lower-grade students participated in coloring fruits and vegetables and matching food pictures with their nutritional content, while upper-grade students competed in a health quiz on balanced nutrition. The program successfully increased students’ knowledge about healthy foods and fostered greater awareness of adopting healthy eating habits. This initiative demonstrates that creative and enjoyable nutrition education can serve as a strategic step in sustainably reducing stunting rates.

Abstract

Form of digital literacy introduced to elementary school children is computer programming, or coding The development of information and communication technology demands that everyone develop digital literacy skills from an early age. One important. However, elementary school students rarely have the opportunity to learn coding directly in the school environment. This situation is a major problem that prompted the implementation of community service activities at SD Negeri 27 Bengkulu. The objective of the activity was to introduce the basics of web programming to sixth-grade students so they have a basic understanding of how to build simple web pages. The methods used in this activity included brief explanations, demonstrations, and hands-on practice. The material provided included an introduction to HTML structure, the use of CSS to enhance the appearance, and the application of simple JavaScript for interaction. The results of the activity showed that students were able to understand basic coding concepts, although they still encountered obstacles such as coding errors. Through mentoring and practice, students were able to correct these errors and produce simple web pages. In conclusion, introducing coding from an early age can improve students' digital literacy while fostering curiosity and computational thinking, which are useful for facing the challenges of the digital era.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a chronic disease with a steadily increasing prevalence both globally and nationally. Indonesia has a high number of DM sufferers, which continues to grow annually. This situation demands community-based prevention efforts, one of which is through the empowerment of health cadres. This community service program, implemented in Keyongan Hamlet, Boyolali, aimed to improve the understanding and skills of health cadres in recognizing risk factors, early signs, and prevention strategies for DM. The activity method consisted of interactive counseling combined with group discussions and the use of leaflets. The activity took place on January 20, 2025, with 30 participants. Evaluation was conducted in a participatory manner, both through active participant involvement in the discussion and direct feedback. The results of the activity showed an increase in cadre knowledge, particularly regarding the importance of a healthy lifestyle, diet management, physical activity, and early detection. Community-based education has proven effective as a promotive and preventive measure, and strengthens the role of cadres in supporting public health.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the quality of packaging and digital marketing capabilities for MSME players in Karangkemiri Village, Jeruk Legi District, Cilacap Regency. This training was motivated by the low competitiveness of local products due to unattractive packaging and limited use of digital technology in promotion. The community service activity was held on August 7-8, 2025, and was attended by 21 SMEs in Karangkemiri Village, Jeruklegi, Cilacap Regency. The community service team consisted of a cross-institutional collaboration between Universitas Al-Irsyad Cilacap, Pemerintah Kecamatan Jeruklegi, Kelurahan Karangkemiri, Badan Narkotika Nasional Kabupaten Cilacap, Dinas Perdagangan, Koperasi Usaha Kecil dan Menengah Cilacap, Dinas Penanaman Modal dan Pelayanan Terpadu Satu Pintu. The community service methods included socialization, technical training on packaging design, and assistance in using social media. The results of the activity showed that the 21 MSME participants who took part in this activity were able to understand the principles of effective packaging design, such as aesthetics, functionality, and product identity, and began to implement digital marketing strategies through social media. This activity made a real contribution to building the capacity of local MSMEs to be more adaptive to the demands of the modern market. This community service activity can be a model for the development of innovative and highly competitive village MSMEs.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the marketing performance of MSMEs in Purbalingga Regency through the use of digital marketing strategies. The background to this activity is based on the low level of understanding and ability of business actors in using digital media as a means of promotion and business communication. The implementation method is carried out through training, mentoring, and evaluation of the practice of using social media as a marketing tool. The results of the activity show a significant increase in the ability of participants to manage digital promotional content, interact with consumers, and optimize market reach. MSMEs also began to show changes in marketing behavior that are more adaptive to technological developments and modern consumer behavior. These findings confirm that digital transformation is a strategic factor in strengthening the competitiveness and sustainability of small businesses in the digital economy era. The activity's limitations lie in the relatively short duration of mentoring and the limited technological resources owned by the participants. Nevertheless, this activity provides theoretical and practical contributions to the development of a community-based training model relevant to strengthening the digital capacity of MSMEs in semi-urban areas such as Purbalingga.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve human resource (HR) management competency to strengthen the performance of cooperatives in Semarang City. The main problems faced by cooperatives are low managerial skills, a lack of HR development planning, and the absence of an objective performance evaluation system. The activity was implemented through a participatory approach that included interactive training, field mentoring, and applied evaluation. The program targets cooperative administrators and staff directly involved in organizational management. The results of the activity showed a 78% increase in participants' managerial competency, a 65% increase in work planning capabilities, and a 23% increase in operational efficiency. In addition, the Semarang City Cooperative HR Communication Forum was established as a form of sustainability for the activity. This training successfully shifted the paradigm of cooperative HR management from merely administrative to a strategic, competency-based system. This community service activity made a real contribution to increasing cooperative competitiveness, strengthening a collaborative culture, and establishing a HR development model that can be replicated in other regions.
