Abstract

Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) is a chronic disease with an increasing prevalence and has become a major public health problem in Lhokseumawe City. The successful management of T2DM is influenced by patients' characteristics and their level of adherence to treatment and self-care practices. This study aimed to identify the characteristics and adherence of patients with T2DM in Lhokseumawe City. A descriptive analytic study with a cross-sectional design was conducted in the working areas of community health centers (Puskesmas) in Lhokseumawe City in 2026. A total of 64 respondents were selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires on respondents' characteristics and adherence to T2DM management. The results showed that the respondents had a mean age of 69.95 years. Most respondents had completed senior high school education (53.1%), had a monthly income of less than IDR 2,700,000 (75.0%), and all respondents were Muslims and belonged to the Acehnese ethnic group. Regarding treatment adherence, the majority of respondents (81.3%) were categorized as adherent, while 18.8% were categorized as non-adherent. Adherence was influenced by several factors, including educational level, family support, cultural values, economic conditions, and patients' understanding of diabetes management. The study concludes that the socio-cultural characteristics of the community play an important role in influencing adherence among patients with T2DM. Therefore, culturally tailored health education and strengthened family support are recommended to improve diabetes management and optimize patient outcomes.

Abstract

Brackish water aquaculture plays a strategic role in supporting food security, improving economic value, and enhancing seafood export competitiveness. Despite extensive studies on individual aspects of aquaculture management, comprehensive reviews integrating technical, environmental, economic, and managerial dimensions remain limited. This study aims to develop an integrated management model for sustainable brackish water aquaculture by synthesizing evidence on pond preparation, water quality management, feeding strategies, biosecurity, disease control, harvesting, post-harvest handling, cold chain management, business feasibility, and risk management. A qualitative approach was employed using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of scientific articles, textbooks, aquaculture standards, and relevant regulations published within the last ten years. The synthesized findings demonstrate that integrated management improves production efficiency, optimizes resource utilization, enhances product quality, strengthens business feasibility, and increases market competitiveness. Furthermore, the integration of biosecurity, cold chain management, financial feasibility analysis, and risk management provides a comprehensive framework for minimizing operational risks while supporting long-term business sustainability. This study proposes a conceptual model of sustainable brackish water aquaculture management that integrates technical, environmental, economic, and managerial components, providing a reference for developing more productive, competitive, and sustainable aquaculture systems.

Abstract

Incestuous sexual violence committed by biological fathers against their daughters represents one of the most severe forms of child victimization because it combines sexual abuse with the misuse of parental authority and emotional dependency. This study aims to analyze the forms of partial power relations employed by perpetrators during the victimization process from a feminist victimology perspective. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed through observations, in-depth interviews with victims, law enforcement officers, psychologists, and child protection practitioners, supported by document analysis. The findings indicate that perpetrators exploit their authority as fathers through psychological manipulation, emotional dependence, intimidation, threats, and trust abuse, creating unequal power relations that prevent victims from resisting or reporting the abuse. Victims experience multidimensional consequences, including severe psychological trauma, fear, social isolation, loss of self-confidence, and prolonged victimization reinforced by family silence and societal stigma. The study demonstrates that partial power relations are the primary mechanism sustaining incestuous sexual violence within families. Therefore, comprehensive victim-centered interventions involving legal protection, psychological rehabilitation, social support, and strengthened child protection policies are essential to prevent repeated victimization, facilitate recovery, and ensure justice for child victims while challenging patriarchal structures that normalize domination and silence.

Abstract

The increasingly competitive landscape of digital tourism promotion requires innovative communication strategies capable of attracting audiences and fostering emotional engagement. While social media has become an important tourism promotion platform, the use of stand-up comedy–based humorous content as a tourism communication strategy remains underexplored. This study aims to analyze the representation of tourism elements, messaging strategies, and forms of humor embedded in the Instagram account @bercandanyaindonesiatimur (BIT), as well as its potential as a tourism promotion medium. A qualitative approach employing qualitative content analysis was applied to videos, captions, and audience responses. The findings reveal that BIT effectively combines storytelling, local identity, and contextual humor to create authentic tourism narratives that strengthen destination image and increase audience engagement. Humor functions not only as entertainment but also as a persuasive communication strategy that shapes positive destination perceptions and stimulates visit intention. This study contributes to the development of digital tourism communication by demonstrating that humor-based user-generated content can serve as an effective and authentic tourism promotion strategy.

Abstract

The construction industry is increasingly adopting Building Information Modeling (BIM) to support Quantity Take Off (QTO), as conventional methods based on two-dimensional drawings, which are still widely used in Indonesia, are prone to measurement errors, inconsistent results, and time inefficiency. This study aimed to develop a three-dimensional BIM model of a steel truss bridge using a case study of the Selat Baru–Deluk Bridge with Autodesk Revit and compare the calculated concrete and reinforcement volumes with manual calculations. The model was developed by converting two-dimensional Detail Engineering Design (DED) drawings into a three-dimensional model. Volume calculations were automatically generated using the Schedule/Quantities feature in Autodesk Revit, while the conventional method used simple geometric formulas. The results showed that the average difference between the two methods was only 0.107% for concrete and 0.463% for reinforcement. The Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) values were 0.511% for concrete and 1.402% for reinforcement. These findings indicate that BIM-based quantity estimation using Autodesk Revit provides higher accuracy, efficiency, and precision compared to conventional methods in bridge QTO calculations.

Abstract

The development of Building Information Modeling (BIM) provides an effective alternative for Quantity Take Off (QTO) calculations in reinforced concrete bridge construction. Conventional QTO methods based on two-dimensional drawings are prone to human error and require considerable time. This study analyzes the QTO results of the reinforced concrete structure of the Batu Panjang–Pangkalan Nyirih Bridge, Rupat District, using Autodesk Revit, compares them with conventional calculations, and evaluates their accuracy through percentage error and Root Mean Square Error (RMSE). A quantitative comparative approach was employed by modeling the bridge structure in Autodesk Revit and calculating gross concrete volume, reinforcement volume, and net concrete volume for the box culvert, abutment, wing wall, and loneng components. The results indicate strong agreement between the two methods, with an average percentage error of 0.028% for concrete and 1.247% for reinforcement. The RMSE values were 0.032% and 1.374%, respectively. The main differences were found in reinforcement calculations because Autodesk Revit models reinforcement details more precisely, including bar lengths and bends. These findings demonstrate that BIM-based QTO using Autodesk Revit is a reliable, accurate, and efficient alternative to conventional methods.

Abstract

Digital transformation in education drives a paradigm shift toward Education 5.0, integrating technology and human values in learning. Economics teachers are required not only to use technology but also to integrate it pedagogically and reflectively. This study aims to analyze economics teachers' digital literacy characteristics, identify reflective practices in technology integration, and uncover supporting and inhibiting factors for digital teacher transformation in high schools in Minahasa Regency. This qualitative study used an exploratory case study design. Informants were selected purposively involving economics teachers and principals. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña through thematic coding. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation, technical triangulation, and member checking. The results indicate that teachers' digital literacy has diverse characteristics. Reflective practice plays an important role in evaluating and developing technology-based learning. Digital teacher transformation is influenced by supporting factors (school support, professional collaboration, and digital self-efficacy) and inhibiting factors (technostress, intergenerational digital divide, and technically oriented training). This study shows that teacher digital transformation is a multidimensional process influenced by individual, social, and institutional factors in supporting adaptive learning based on Education 5.0.
