Abstract

The purpose of this study was to look at the problems that occur in the development of the second language acquisition of children by parents who are reluctant to teach regional languages ​​to their children. Higher community prestige towards Indonesian and foreign languages ​​causes a lack of speaker loyalty to the local language. This is caused by a lack of awareness of parents to place regional languages ​​as the mother tongue of their children. The results of this study indicate that there is an impact arising from the selection of mother tongue on the development of the language of the two children. Children who are invited to speak Indonesian from birth tend to find it difficult to adjust language when interacting with their friends. As a result, he became a little mastered or could be said to be non-multilingual.

Abstract

This study examines social engineering as a major threat to business communication in the digital era and evaluates the effectiveness of ISO/IEC 27001–based information security policies in Indonesia. Using a systematic literature review of 50 sources published between 2015 and 2024, the research analyzes patterns and impacts of social engineering attacks on organizational information security. The findings indicate that most Indonesian businesses have been targeted by such attacks, with phishing and smishing being the most prevalent techniques, and digital business communication serving as the primary target. Although ISO/IEC 27001 has been widely adopted, the overall level of information security maturity remains moderate, with human factors identified as the weakest element. The study concludes that effective information security policies require the integration of technical, managerial, and organizational culture aspects, and recommends strengthening security awareness programs, continuous training, and adaptive policies to enhance organizational resilience against evolving social engineering threats.

Abstract

Strategi kepemimpinan merupakan suatu proses rencana yang ditetapkan oleh seorang pemimpin dengan cara mempengaruhi para bawahan yang berfokus pada tujuan jangka panjang suatu organisasi. Dengan adanya strategi, maka suatu organisasi akan memperoleh kedudukan atau posisi yang kuat dalam wilayah kerjanya. Karena strategi merupakan suatu wujud rencana yang terarah untuk memperoleh hasil yang maksimal. Dengan demikian strategi dijadikan sebagai alat oleh pimpinan untuk memengaruhi bawahan dalam menentukan tujuan sebuah organisasi, serta memotivasi para bawahan supaya lebih baik lagi. Dimana dalam sebuah instansi pendidikan, strategi pemimpin dapat menentukan serta memberikan dorongan ataupun motivasi dalam pendidikan, hal itu tergantung dengan bagaimana seorang pemimpin mengarahkan para siswanya dalam belajar agar para siswa dapat belajar dengan baik dan sesuai dengan arahan dari pemimpin.

Abstract

Leadership style as a way of directing and managing all elements within an organization has a significant influence on the achievement of an organization. Leadership style requires appropriate placement according to needs, so leadership style will determine the quality of an organization's work in achieving its goals. This study aims to describe the style and influence of leadership and discipline on employee work effectiveness at PT. Mamypoko's Padang branch. The research was conducted using qualitative methods and a descriptive approach. Specifically, this study found that the leadership style applied at PT. Mamypoko's Padang branch is a mix of several leadership styles, namely democratic and bureaucratic. This can be seen from the monitoring attitude shown by leaders in managing and directing all elements within the organization. The substantive conclusion of this article is that the use of several leadership style models in a workplace will improve the quality of work of employees.

Abstract

Leadership strategy is how a leader improves the performance of their employees in line with organizational goals. Improving performance is inevitably linked to several factors that can hinder a person's leadership. However, with the right strategies from a leader, these obstacles can be prevented or resolved using methods employed by leaders to ensure their success in leading an organization. In a government organization, a leader's strategy can determine the performance of an employee, depending on how a leader directs their employees to work so that they can work well and in accordance with the leader's instructions.

Abstract

Every organization, whether public or private, has a leadership style that influences employee performance. A person's leadership style is a benchmark for their progress or decline in the organization they lead. One of the challenges faced by a leader is how to motivate employees to focus their abilities on the interests of the organization. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of leadership style on employee performance in the Ujung Gurun sub-district and the obstacles and challenges faced by leaders in leading the Ujung Gurun sub-district. The research method used is a qualitative research method using a descriptive approach. This method describes or explains existing problems by providing answers to the problems raised. This research was conducted in the Ujung Gurun sub-district, Padang Barat district, Padang city, West Sumatra. In this study, the object of research was the head of the Ujung Gurun sub-district. The results of the study show that the leadership style applied in Ujung Gurun Village is a democratic leadership style, and the influence of this leadership style on employee performance is the extent to which leaders are able to embrace their members to achieve common goals and overcome the problems faced by their members.

Abstract

The capacity within a person that can influence others at work is the meaning of leadership, which expects to achieve predetermined hierarchical goals. The motivation or purpose behind this study is to determine the leadership of the sub-district head on the performance of employees at the Padang Utara sub-district office, Padang City. This is a qualitative study. The expectation of this research is to improve employee performance by implementing situational leadership theory and combining it with the concept of democratic leadership. This can be seen from the decision-making process in which employees are always involved, delegated authority, control over work, and interactions between leaders and employees. The assessment of employee performance at the office implements an appropriate type of leadership, such as a performance assessment process that gives employees greater responsibility as a sign of trust in their work. In addition, in the Padang Utara sub-district, leaders are required to motivate employees to overcome any obstacles that could have a negative impact on employee performance, both within the agency and outside the agency.

Abstract

The background of this study is about monotonous history learning conducted by history teachers teaching at SMA N 1 Ulakan Tapakis. The study aims to examine the reasons behind history teachers at SMA N 1 Ulakan Tapakis continuing to teach using the old model and seemingly ignoring the 21st-century student-centered learning model. The research approach used is qualitative research. There are three stages in the research, namely: (1) Pre-field stage, (2) Fieldwork stage, (3) Data analysis stage. The results of the research can be concluded that monotonous learning is caused by several reasons that are actually not too serious. The monotonous learning that occurs at SMA N 1 Ulakan Tapakis can be changed in the right direction if teachers are more enthusiastic in applying 21st-century learning models and if students are more emphasized with their learning responsibilities.

Abstract

Leadership is very important and central. In order to achieve common goals, people as part of an agency or organization must promote unity by following leadership instructions. Based on the leader's direction, all differences in desires and wills are ultimately unified and directed into one. Leaders as individuals have motivations that may not align with those of group members, both in terms of their desire to join and unite within the group and in carrying out activities under their obligations and responsibilities. In government institutions, all leaders are key figures who have a significant influence on employees. This research is qualitative in nature, using descriptive interview techniques.

Abstract

The success and failure of a government agency is influenced by its leader. Effective leadership has a positive impact on the agency, making leadership style one of the determining factors in the success of a government agency. Leadership style is the way a leader influences the behavior of others. A leader is expected to have perseverance, which greatly influences their work. In leadership, discipline and rules must be implemented so that every employee or worker can be responsible for their respective jobs. This research is descriptive qualitative in nature and uses interview techniques.
