Journal of Tourism, Hospitality and Travel Management (JTHTM)
The Journal of Tourism, Hospitality, and Travel Management (JTHTM) aims to publish interdisciplinary research that clearly contributes theoretically or methodologically to the body of knowledge relating to all aspects of tourism, travel, and hospitality. JTHTM strives to publish first-rate academic articles in fields of human endeavor related to the core areas of hospitality, travel, tourism, and leisure. We offer the opportunity to publish research that is able to facilitate academic exchange and analysis in the international scientific community using open access publication as the vehicle. In a resource scares, coupled with the changing dynamics of tourism in a rapidly complex global society, the JTHTM seeks to answer questions around tourism, travel, and hospitality that informs, public and private sector management, community development, policy and strategy development, and implementation, sustainability and responsible behavior amongst others. Given the dynamic nature of the fields of hospitality, travel, tourism, and leisure, JTHTM also accepts articles in the related fields of tourism geographies, marketing, management, economics, business ethics, corporate governance, stakeholder management, operations management, entrepreneurship, food and nutrition, service quality, sustainability, and globalization. However, such articles should show a strong link between hospitality, travel, tourism, and leisure.

This research studies segmentation and targeting strategies at Lokawisata Baturraden, Banyumas Regency, Central Java Province. This study uses the theory of destination market segmentation, whose indicators consist of demography, geography, psychography, and behavior. Then the research results are also strengthened by targeting theory which explains targeting as a process of evaluating segmentation and focusing marketing strategies on a group of people with the potential to become respondents. Data collection methods were used in the form of questionnaires and interviews. Then the data obtained is processed using SPSS software with frequency and crosstab calculations. The results obtained will be recommendations for developing potential target market strategies.

This research discusses the evaluation of marketing communication performance on Instagram by user @baturadenpalawi in Wana Wisata Baturaden (Baturraden District), Banyumas Regency, Central Java, Indonesia. The researcher used the Concept of Tourism Marketing Communication Objectives by Nurdin Hidayah to inform, persuade, and remind. The data was collected through observations, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation studies. Analysis, questionnaires, and interviews are used to obtain the results. This research leads to the evaluation of marketing communications and produces recommendations for each dimension (to inform, to persuade, and to remind) on Instagram account @baturadenpalawi.

This study aims to discuss how the influence of Electronic Word of Mouth on the Google Review platform results in decisions for tourists who will visit a tourist attraction. This research was conducted on 7 - 9 November 2022, located at Lokawisata Baturaden. This study uses a quantitative research method, with the data obtained will be rated on a Likert scale from a sample of 100 tourists who have decided to visit after receiving information in the form of reviews from Google Reviews. Regarding the sampling, the purposive sampling technique. The analytical method used in this study is descriptive analysis.

Community participation or involvement plays an essential role in developing tourism activities, from planning to implementation. Consequently, community participation plays a part in determining the success factor of tourism development conducted in Cibodas Village, an emerging community-based tourism village in Bandung, Indonesia. This study aims to identify several forms of community participation in developing agrotourism. The descriptive qualitative method is used for the research to collect data by observing, interviewing, and studying existing documentation. The study indicates that the strong relationship among local communities, farmers, and government primarily empowers community participation in Cibodas Village. Although the development of agrotourism in the village still faces challenges due to other farming preferences among the local communities, the farmers' participation in contributing to the development has significantly increased. Agrotourism activities offered by the community and farmers in Cibodas Village are in the form of educational tourism through visiting agricultural land to identify types of plants, learning how to pick and care for plants, and enjoying processed food and drinks from agricultural products.

This study aimed to identify the natural resources from agriculture that could develop to be culinary tourism in Desa Neglasari, Kec. Cisompet, Kab. Garut. The study of documentation, field observations, and in-depth interviews are used in this research and analyzed by a qualitative descriptive analysis. Four excellent products can be processed into culinary products such as jackfruit, soursop, banana, and brown sugar. The fourth of an excellent product that can be processed into various foods and beverages with good taste, excellent shape, and a good texture of the culinary product. Based on this fact in Desa Neglasari, Kec. Cisompet, Kab. Garut potentially developed alternative tourism, which is a culinary tour. This is important because of not only the development of diversified tourism products but, at the same time, grow the creative economy among members of society. To realize the need for special attention of local government, tourism entrepreneurs, and communities (farmers).
