Abstract

Current technological developments are called the industrial era 4.0 and society 5.0. Currently, education in Indonesia is experiencing an increase in the quality of higher education, namely with the issuance of the Independent Learning Campus policy which was launched by the Ministry of Education and Culture in 2020. In designing the 2021 Curriculum Study Program PTM FKIP UNS has a relationship with the needs of teacher competence, the curriculum applied in SMK, and the need for expertise competence in the industrial world. In this study, researchers will examine using a tracer study method for graduates of Mechanical Engineering Education UNS and the relevance of Mechanical Engineering Education courses at Sebelas Maret University Surakarta, especially according to alumni who graduated in 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020. Research objectives This is "To Analyze The Relevance Of Courses In PTM With The World Of Work Of Graduates". The results of the research conducted by the author are expected to be useful as input in the Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program of FKIP UNS regarding curriculum development, both regarding aspects of planning, implementing, and evaluating curriculum. The design of this research is descriptive exploratory research which aims to describe the state of a phenomenon. In this study, it is not intended to test certain hypotheses, only to describe the existence of a variable, symptom or situation. Where the variables involved in the research will be described quantitatively (according to numerical data). The research data are alumni of graduates or graduations in 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020. The research method used is descriptive analysis data analysis method with quantitative approach to outcome-based education exploration. The results of the study stated that the level was very high, and the irrelevant ones were approximately 10 - 11 courses or 10% of the 66 - 67 courses in mechanical engineering education. It is hoped that the Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program will increase the level of relevance of courses in synchronization with the curriculum and needs in the world of work and society in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 and society 5.0.

Abstract

Aluminum alloy is one of the non ferrous metals that are widely used in various fields of life including one of the automotive industry. In Indonesia, the automotive industry is currently experiencing rapid development, as indicated by the number of motorized vehicles.there are many aluminium scrap from velg those are not used intensively, so casting is done through the use of aluminium velg. To prevent damage to the piston and to approach the standard, its hardness needs to be increased, namely by adding magnesium by 0.3% and 0.6% as well as artificial aging heat treatment method at a temperature of 155 ˚C with a variation of holding time used are 2 hours and 4 hours. The original piston has a hardness value 87.5 VHN. It turns out that aluminum velg material has a chemical composition of silicon element (Si) of 12.9% which is not in accordance with the A333.0 standard, so it is necessary to add the ADC 12 in casting to make new piston material. Based on the A333.0 standard, the suitable composition is 75% ADC 12 + 25% aluminum velg with a hardness value is 83.2 VHN, but still below from the original piston hardness. After the addition of magnesium and artificial aging the hardness of the new piston material has increased. The hardness of the material is 75% ADC 12 + 25% aluminum velg which has a hardness over the original piston is a material with artificial aging 4 hours with a hardness value is 87.6 VHN, material with the addition of magnesium elements 0.3% and 0.6% as well as artificial aging 4 hours which had a violence value are 88.6 VHN and 90.2 VHN. The process of adding magnesium and artificial aging also affects the metallography of the material, namely the structure and shape of the microstructure becomes more organized and there is a change in grain size.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah dengan penerapan model pembelajaran flipped learning dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar mahasiswa Prodi PTM FKIP UNS pada mata kuliah motor bakar. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus dengan setiap siklus terdiri atas perencanaan tindakan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa semester II Prodi PTM FKIP UNS kelas Motor Bakar A yang berjumlah 42 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan dokumentasi. Validitas data menggunakan validitas isi, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif komparatif. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari sampai dengan Juli 2023. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya peningkatan prestasi belajar motor bakar pada mahasiswa Prodi PTM FKIP UNS melalui penerapan model pembelajaran flipped learning. Hal ini ditunjukkan oleh persentase nilai rata-rata prestasi belajar berturut-turut pada setiap siklusnya yaitu pra siklus sebesar 9,24%, siklus I sebesar 16%, siklus II sebesar 31,52%, dan siklus III sebesar 58%. Dengan ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran flipped learning dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu alternatif model pembelajaran.

Abstract

Academic dishonesty is considered as one of the disgraceful behaviors that damage the character of students. Considering the important role of teachers in preventing fraud in the learning process, teacher candidate education programs are expected to have a conducive environment to uphold academic integrity. mechanical engineering vocational. This research is a quantitative descriptive study conducted in one of the educational staff educators at a public university in Central Java. Data collection techniques using a survey instrument with a total of 117 students as respondents. The validity and reliability of the data using the help of a statistical data processing software. The results showed that the indications of academic dishonesty of vocational engineering students were 92.3% had been involved in collaborating when doing assignments, 91.5% had been involved in collaborating during exams, 85.5% had been involved in copying and pasting assignments, as much as 98.3%. Never been involved in not reporting cheating in class, opening cell phones for browsing during exams, and fake attendance. The causes of academic dishonesty of vocational engineering students are not ready to face exams, exam questions and heavy assignments, lack of firmness of supervisors, the majority of students do it, the absence of strict rules and punishments. The solution to overcome the academic dishonesty of vocational engineering students is a warning when violating, confirming the supervisor, making the majority of students stop cheating, confirming rules and punishments, making the classroom situation impossible for cheating, ensuring student readiness for exams, prohibiting carrying cell phones when exam and spaced out seats during the exam. The results of this study are expected to be used for efforts to handle and prevent academic dishonesty in teacher education in general.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the backwardness of the existing curriculum in schools with the current industrial world, this problem is shown by the reality that students who graduate from SMK still have to be retrained at the company where they work so that the industrial world does not get maximum time in terms of accepting new employees This study aims to improve the competence of students through link and match the school curriculum with industry to form an industrial class in the welding engineering department. The results of this study explain that using a link and match school curriculum with industry can improve the skills of students who are already aligned with what the industry wants. It can be proven by the graduates of SMK N 6 Batam in the industrial class already working

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui tingkat efikasi dan tanggungjawab guru kejuruan bidang teknik pemesinan di Kota Surakarta dalampembelajaran selama pandemi. Jenis penelitian ini berupa penelitian kuantitatifbersifat deskriptif eksploratif. Peneliti juga mengambil beberapa buku, artikel,jurnal, dan skripsi lain sebagai penunjang dalam penelitian. Teknik pengumpulandalam penelitian ini berupa teknik sampling dan angket/kuisioner. Teknik analisisdata dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik statistik descriptive kuantitatif presentase. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu peneliti menemukan: (1) gurudengan gender laki-laki memiliki tingkat efikasi dan tangung jawab yangbesar dengan rata-rata (85,13%) untuk efikasi dan (88,2%) untukpresentase tanggung jawab, (2) bahwa guru dengan usia 40-50 tahunmemiliki tingkat efikasi dan tanggung jawab yang tinggi,(3) guru denganmasa kerja >20 tahun memiliki nilai efikasi dan tanggung jawab tinggi, (4)guru dengan status kepegawaian PNS mendapatkan nilai efikasi dantanggung jawab tinggi dengan prosentase ratarata sebesar (80,28%), (5)guru yang memiliki tingkat pendidikan terakhir S1 memiliki tingkat efikasidan tanggung jawab yang tinggi dengan prosentase sebesar (92,47%).

Abstract

The Purpose of this research are to know chemical composition, find micro structure, find impact strength, find speciment’s hardeness level on allumminium cast wheel before and after Tungsten Inert Gas welding. The speciment on this research is aluminum cast wheel or aluminum velg. The data analysis on this research is a comparative descriptive method, that the observation result is analyzed by description. And then compare the observation result between the data before TIG welding or before conducted preheating and PWHT. The parameter of analyze data are included: the testing of chemical composition, microstructure, hardness and impact. Based on the result of this research, it can be concluded that the cast wheel material is aluminum type cast alloy AA.445.2 which has non-heat treatable characteristic. The research results show that the microstructure of Al grain in the HAZ region fused with primary aluminum (α-Al) and grain Si alloy formed between the primary α-Al. The impact strength value on the welded speciment is higher than impact strength value before welding those are 0.0616 J/mm2 and 0.0384 J/mm2. Hardeness level on the speciment before welding processes is 103,381 VHN. The number is higher than after on the welding area, the hardeness level is lower too that is 44,051 VHN, whereas the hardeness level an the HAZ is a 37,943 VHN and 35,465 VHN on the base material.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan dua jenis pasir cetak, yaitu pasir gunung dan pasir pantai, terhadap hasil pengecoran logam aluminium ditinjau dari aspek fluiditas, kekerasan, dan struktur mikro. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan desain faktorial, di mana spesimen aluminium dicetak menggunakan media pasir gunung dan pasir pantai dengan variasi suhu penuangan 750 °C, 800 °C, dan 850 °C. Uji fluiditas dilakukan dengan metode spiral, diukur melalui panjang aliran logam cair yang terbentuk dalam cetakan. Uji kekerasan dilakukan menggunakan metode Vickers dengan beban 100 gf dan indentor diamond pyramid, sementara pengamatan struktur mikro dilakukan menggunakan mikroskop metalografi dengan perbesaran hingga 200x. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan suhu penuangan memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan fluiditas logam cair. Jenis pasir juga memengaruhi hasil pengecoran, di mana pasir gunung menunjukkan nilai fluiditas dan kekerasan yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan pasir pantai. Struktur mikro hasil pengecoran dengan pasir gunung umumnya memiliki butir yang lebih halus dan seragam, sedangkan pada pasir pantai cenderung terbentuk butiran yang lebih kasar. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa jenis pasir dan suhu penuangan berperan penting dalam menentukan kualitas hasil pengecoran aluminium.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the efficiency of the performance of a solar water heater with V coincides with variations in flow rates of  3 lpm, .This research is a quantitative research with experimental method. This research includes the activities of designing a solar water heater, preparing measuring instruments, testing, collecting data and analyzing data. This research was replicated three times to obtain maximum data results. The results showed that the solar water heater testing with a flow rate variation of 3 lpm experienced the highest temperature increase, the amount of solar radiation and wind speed greatly influenced changes in temperature. The conclusion of this study is the greater the flow rate used, the smaller the temperature change produced and at a flow rate of 3lpm is the most effective flow rate, indicated by an energy efficiency value of 78%.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the groove angle to the microstructure, hardness, and tensile strength on SS400 steel alloys before (raw material) and after welding using the Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) method.This research used experimental method with descriptive comparative data analysis. The tool used for microstructure test is Olympus Metallurgical Microscope, using Vickers Hardness Tester for hardness test, and using the Universal Testing Machine for tensile test.Based on the data, it could be concluded that the results of the microstructure test showed an increase in pearlite structure after welding. In raw material, ferrite structures are seen evenly but on welding, results using the SMAW method with a 50⁰, 60⁰, and 70⁰ weld groove angles indicated that ferrite is reduced in each specimen, so the pearlite structure is very dominating. The number of hardness and tensile strength on the welding results indicate a difference in the level of hardness and tensile strength. Specimens with a 70o groove angle have a higher hardness level of 276 VHN when compared to 50⁰ groove angle specimens of 248 VHN and 60o of 255 VHN. Specimens with a 70⁰ groove angle have a higher tensile strength which is 432.51 MPa when compared to the 50o groove angle specimens of 407.56 MPa and 60⁰ at 425.69 MPa. The tensile strength test results in raw material amounted to 401.94 MPa. This study shows that welding with variations of groove angle changes the microstructure and affects the hardness and tensile strength of SS400 steel alloys.
