Abstract

As a legacy of the colonial era, the people of East Java have established cattle raising and development with four fundamental objectives in mind. To begin with, the cow signifies social standing. Social status in the local community is established not only by the financial resources of individual families, but also by the number of cows housed in a given pasture. Furthermore, the bovine serves as a support animal during the process of mating. The bovine is a sacred animal in East Java, representing matrimony to the local populace. Third, cows as economically beneficial animals. Furthermore, cattle are a commodity in which local economic authorities with vast business networks engage in commerce. Regarding cattle businessmen, this descriptive qualitative study seeks to investigate the socioeconomic networks of lower-class cattle producers who also practise subsistence agriculture. As qualitative research, this study collected field data through three primary methodologies. Initially, a comprehensive interview was undertaken with purchasers, the Magetan regency administration, and the local strong man business network. The second is the observation that was conducted in Plaosan subdistrict animal market and Dele villages in Magetan regency. Furthermore, an extensive focus group discussion (FGD) was conducted with stakeholders from the selling cycle, including local governments, businesses, cattle merchants, and the general community. This study's findings will be disseminated via scientific journals and local media.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to investigate community empowerment initiatives aimed at providing support to communities located near a Lake in East Java, with a particular focus on Sidomukti village, which serves as the gateway to the Sarangan Lake (TNK). A case study strategy was employed to gather thorough data, utilising data-gathering approaches such as interviews, observation, and documentation. The employed methodology for data analysis is descriptive qualitative. Data analysis involves the systematic arrangement of data, its categorization into distinct units, its integration, the identification of patterns, the selection of significant elements for further investigation, and the formulation of conclusions. The findings of the study revealed that many empowerment initiatives were implemented in KNP-supporting villages, with a particular focus on villages. Notably, the Mandiri Tourism initiative within the National Community Empowerment Programme (PNPM) garnered a favourable reception from the local community. In addition to this, other local community empowerment programmes have emerged from both local and village government endeavours, as well as from the Sidomukti village community itself. One such initiative involves the establishment of tourism awareness clubs. The Sarangan Lake Tourism Association has led to the establishment of various entities in the accommodation industry, transportation services, restaurants, cafes, and art galleries. Additionally, the village-owned enterprise (BUMDES) STW of Village has empowered the local community in the fields of agriculture and agro-tourism. Furthermore, BUMDES has established strong connections with the wider society. BUMDES is comprised of nine hamlets. The organisation comprises three distinct business divisions, including the Coming Business Unit, the Tourism Unit, and the Savings and Loans Unit.

Abstract

Every business must be able to make itself a winner in a market that is always changing rapidly. One of them is by implementing a marketing strategy. However, in reality, several problems occur in the market, including excess capacity resulting in hyper-competition; Too many chasing customers whose numbers continue to decrease, and most products lack differentiation as a result of which many companies experience a decline in market share, stagnation and even go bankrupt because they cannot compete. Lintas Darfiq, which is an Umrah travel service provider located at Karah Agung Number 1 Surabaya and Ruko Planet Number 5 Jalan Lamongan, has only been running for 4 years, with an increase in the number of pilgrims which is sometimes no more than 25% which is less significant for the management which can be said to be stagnant because management has not yet dared to fight the price, lack of management in finding informants and new markets. For Lintas Darfiq, who is new to the Umrah travel business, the majority of which is oriented towards the Lamongan market because in its marketing it is more oriented towards a well-known mentor in Lamongan, sometimes the value of excellence in worship that it has is crossed out due to a lack of commitment in quality. The Surabaya market is very critical compared to the Lamongan market to be accepted by the Surabaya market. Their products must have good and high quality to eliminate the impression that Lintas Darfiq Lamongan is of lower quality than other Umrah travelers in Surabaya. This research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through a preliminary survey and field studies consisting of interviews, observation and documentation. The results of the study found that Lintas Darfiq is in the second column in the second row, using the IFAS and EFAS Matrix, respectively, the IFAS score = 2.90 and EFAS = 2.46. IFAS and EFAS scores are then entered into the IE Matrix and then vertical and horizontal lines are drawn, then a meeting point occurs in quadrant V, which is a concentration diversification strategy, and also explained in the SWOT diagram, Lintas Darfiq is in quadrant 3 which means the company faces an opportunity a very large market but on the other hand it faces some external constraints or threats. The focus of this corporate strategy is to minimize internal problems in the company so that it can overcome threats and seize better market opportunities.
