Abstract

ABSTRACT ? The aim of this research is improve quality of biology learning for conditioning class, student attitude in class, the performance of teacher and student motivation of learning in student class VII-D 1st Junior High School Of Jaten through the application of strategies for inquiry learning combined audio visual media. This research was classroom action research with planning, action, observation, and reflection steps. Data was collected using questionnaire, observation, and interview. The validation of data using method and observer triangulation techniques. The data analyzed by descriptive. The result in cycles I describes that mean of observation data in conditioning class indicators are 70,20%, students? attitudes in class are 62,77%, performance of teachers in the learning are 80% and students motivation in learning are 68,18%. For the questionnaire, observation data in conditioning class indicators are 74,53%, students? attitudes in class are 74,13%, and students motivation in learning are 74,38%. The result in cycles II describes that mean of observation data in conditioning class indicators are 80,81%, students? attitudes in class are 80.09%, performance of teachers in the learning are 96,67% and student motivation in learning are 83,71%. For the questionnaire, observation data in conditioning class indicators are 83,87%, students? attitudes in class are 82,49%, and students motivation in learning are 79,43%. In addition, this research also uses interview to know effect of research in quality of biology learning. The result of interview shows that students' attitudes more positive, students motivation more increase and classroom climate more conducive on learning activities. The conclusion of research describes that the combination of audio visual media in inquiry learning strategies can improve quality of biology learning for conditioning class, students' attitudes, performance of teachers in the learning and motivation of  learning in student class VII-D in 1st junior high school of jaten. Abstract

ABSTRACT - This research  aimed  to know,  (1)  The existence of significant influence?s  Group Investigation  model towards the results study of Biology class X SMAN 2 Karanganyar, (2) The existence of significant influence?s creativity level towards the results study of Biology students in class X SMAN 2 Karanganyar, (3) The  interaction of significant influence?s between Group Investigation  model and creativity level towards the results study of Biology students in class X SMAN 2 Karanganyar. This research is Quasi Experimental Research. Subject in this research are students class X  SMAN 2 Karanganyar semester I  academic year  2011/2012.  Sample in this research are 2 class there are class X2 as control class and class X4 as experiment class. Technique of  data collection  test, questionnaire and observation sheet. Test is used to measure of cognitif domain and student creativity level, questionnaire is used to measure of afective domain, and observation sheet is used to measure of psikomotoric domain. Technique of data analysis use two ways Varians Analysis (ANAVA) and continuation test use double comparation Scheffe method. Based the result of this research can conclude are, (1) there is significant influence using learning model Group Investigation  towards the results study of Biology, (2) there is significant influence creativity level students towards the results study of Biology, (3) there is no interaction of significant influence?s between Group Investigation   model and creativity level  towards the results study of Biology. The result of continuation test use  Scheffe  method  can conclude are,  (1)  there is significant influence between  column  A1  (using  Group Investigation  model)  and  column  A2 (using Conventional model)  towards the results study of Biology, and (2) there is significant influence between row B1  (high level creativity) and  row B2  (low level creativity)  towards the results study of Biology. The case must be concern in implementation of learning model Group Investigation  for research to be effective are students psychological factors like as readiness students capability to learning be autonomous and the students anxienty with sub topic for investigated.   Keywords: Group Investigation, Creativity, Result Study of Biologi

Abstract

This research was aimed to improve students? argumentation skill through the implementation of problem based learning in X MIA 1 SMA Batik 2 Surakarta Academic Year 2014/2015. This research is a classroom action research which consisted of three cycles. Each cycle contained planning, acting, observing and reflecting. The subjects of this research were students in X MIA 1 of SMA  Batik 2 Surakarta Academic Year 2014/2015. The data was collected using test, interview, and documentation. The data validation used triangulation technic. The data were analyzed descriptive was based on three components, they are: data reduction, data presentation and drawing the conclusion or verification. The research procedure is using spiral method. The results showed that argumentation skill of students increase from pre cycle, cycle I, cycle II, and cycle III. The average of students? argumentation skill increase from 28,96% to 50,06%. Claim aspect increase from 61,62% to 82,49%; evidence aspect increase from 15,66% to 37,37%; and reasoning aspect increase from 9,60% to 30,30%. Based on the result of the research, the conclusion is there are improvement of argumentation skill through implementation of problem based learning in X MIA 1 SMA Batik 2 Surakarta.Keywords: argumentation skill, problem based learning

Abstract

The purposes of this research are to know the influence of problem based learning model with key relation chart media toward the student?s critical thinking and group cooperation in VIII class of SMP Negeri 14 Surakarta Academic Year 2012/2013. This research was quasi experimental research with post-test non equivalent control croup design and cluster sampling technique. The population of this research was all students in VIII class of SMP Negeri 14 Surakarta Academic Year 2012/2013, the sample was two classes, they are experiment class used problem based learning model with key relation chart media and control class with convensional model, that is variative speech learning model with simple chart. Data collection technique was with essay test, cooperation observation sheet, questionnaire of cooperation, and student?s early value documentation. Based on hypothesis test result with t test, it has obtained  t count value, that are 2,169 and sig. are 0,037 for student?s group cooperation value. Sig?s value from two t test for critical thinking variable and student?s group cooperation were bigger than 0,05, so Ho was denied. It has showed that critical thinking and student?s group cooperation in experiment and control class was really different. The result of  data analysis above proof  that there was an influence of problem based learning model with key relation chart media toward critical thinking and student?s group cooperation in VIII class of SMP Negeri 14 Surakarta Academic Year 2012/2013. Keywords: problem based learning model, key relation chart media,critical thinking, group cooperation.

Abstract

ABSTRACT ? The purposes of this research were to know: 1)  the influence of learning  strategy  toward achievement   biology of student?s on XI IPA grade of SMA N 1 Sukoharjo  ;  2)  the  influence  of  student?s  learning  activity  toward achievement  biology of student?s  on XI IPA grade of SMA N 1 Sukoharjo ; 3) the interaction between learning  strategy  and student?s learning activity  toward achievement  biology  of student?s  on XI IPA grade  of SMA N 1 Sukoharjo  and;    4) the influence of the combined effects between of  learning strategy  and  student?s learning activity which better  of student?s  on XI IPA grade  of SMA N 1 Sukoharjo  This research was a quasi experiment research with Randomized Control Only Design. Learning strategy and student?s  learning activity were  independent variables and student?s achievement of study biology was the dependent variable. The population of this research was all of student?s on Xl lPA grade of SMAN 1 Sukoharjo. The samples of  this  research were  the student?s of class Xl  IPA 4 as the control class and  student?s of class XI  IPA 3 as  the experimental class. The sample of this research was established by Cluster Random Sampling. The techniques for collecting data were had test, questionnaire, and observation. The data were analyzed by anava two away in different cell and then continued test anova with test LSD to understand treatment influence step. The conclusion of this research were: 1)  the learning strategy had significant influence  toward achievement  biology in cognitive, affective and pshycomotor domain of student?s on XI IPA grade of SMA N 1 Sukoharjo ; 2) the student?s learning activity  had significant influence  toward achievement of biology  in  pshycomotor  but  didn?t  have  significant  influence  in  cognitive and afective domain of  student?s on XI  IPA grade of SMA N 1 Sukoharjo; 3) there wasn?t    interaction between  learning  strategy  and  student?s  learning  activity toward achievement of biologi cognitive, affective and pshycomotor  domain  of student?s on XI IPA grade of SMA N 1 Sukoharjo  and  ;  4)  on the strength of continued test have been  obtained  results that significant  influence the effect of the combination  between  of learning strategy  and learning activity  which the achievemenant biology of higher with the use of active learning Student Question Have observed from the high student?s learning activity in cognitive, affective and psychomotor domain of student?s on XI IPA grade of SMA N 1 Sukoharjo. Abstract

ABSTRACT ? Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan sumber belajar berupa modul hasil penelitian kandungan timbal dalam daun angsana pada sub pokok bahasan Metodologi ilmiah terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu (Quasi experiment) menggunakan  Randomized Control Only Design. Variabel bebas berupa modul hasil penelitiandan variabel terikat adalah hasil belajar biologi siswa.  Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas X semester ganjil SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar tahun pelajaran 2011/2012.  Sampel pada penelitian adalah siswa kelas X.4 sebagai kelompok kontrol dan siswa kelas X.1 sebagai kelompok eksperimen.  Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan Cluster Random Sampling.  Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunkan teknik tes untuk hasil belajar ranah kognitif dan lembar observasi untuk hasil belajar ranah afektif serta psikomotor.  Teknik analisis data dengan menggunakan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan modul hasil penelitian sebagai sumber belajarmemberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap hasil belajar ranah kognitif, ranah afektif dan ranah psikomotor siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar Keywords: modul, hasil belajar

Abstract

ABSTRACT - The research objective was to determine the effect of the application of guided inquiry approach to basic science process skills of students in grade VIII Junior High School 7 Surakarta on the basis of competency describes the circulatory systems of humans and their relationship to health. The research uses quasi-experimental research method. The population in this study were all students in grade VIII first semester of Junior High School 7 Surakarta school year 2011/2012, samples were taken with Cluster Random Sampling a number of two classes, namely class control and class experiments. Experimental class totaled 30 students and a control class numbered 30 students. To meet the requirements of the test sample is carried out initial balance ability between the experimental group and control group by t test. Research data in the form of student basic science process skills that include observation, clasifikation, measuring, prediction, conclution, and communication. Research data of basic science process skills outcomes derived from the observation sheet. Analysis of the data in this study using two-sample t test on mini tab 16. T test were selected after the test is a prerequisite Anderson-Darling normality test and Levene's homogeneity test. The results showed that application of guided inquiry learning have a significant influence on basic science process skills of students in grade VIII Junior High School 7 Surakarta. Abstract

ABSTRACT ? Aims of this research are to know the influence of  Card Sort With Mind Mapping  learning strategies toward student?s  achievement in studying biology of  SMA N Banyudono Boyolali. This research was quasi experiment research using quantitative approach. The research was designed using posttest only randomized control group by using the experimental classes (application of Card Sort with Mind Mapping  strategy) and control classes (conventional learning). Population studies are all students of SMA N Banyudono Boyolali  in academic year 2011/2012. Sampling techniques with cluster random sampling, so chosen XI IPA 1 as the experiment class and XI IPA 2 as the control class. Data was collected using questionnaire, essay test, observation sheet, and document. The data were analyzed by t-test. The conclusion of this research were science process skills was  significantly affected by Card Sort  with Mind Mapping  and  the application of  Card Sort  with Mind Mapping  has taken effect on student?s cognitive and psychomotor, affective achievement in studying biology of SMA N Banyudono Boyolali. Abstract

ABSTRACT ? This research aims to ascertain whether or not the application Student Created Case Studies learning method with picture media towards sains skill process. This research is considered quasi-experiment research.  The research was designed using Posttest-Only Control Group Design by applying Student Created Case Studies learning method l with picture media in experimental group and lectures methods, discussions, and experiment  in control group.  The population of this research were all strudents in X grade of SMA Negeri 1 Mojolaban in academic year 2011/ 2012. The sample of this research was established by Cluster Random Sampling, in order to obtain class X-4 as experimental group and class X-3 as control group.  The data was collected by using tests, documentation and observation form.  The hypothesis was analized by using t-test.  The conclusion of this research is that the application Student Created Case Studies learning method with picture media towards sains skill process. Abstract

ABSTRACT ? The aim of this research is improve quality of biology learning for teacher?s performance, utility of facilities in the classroom, classroom climate, science attitude of student, and student motivation of achievement in student class X.7 in 2th senior high school of Karanganyar in academic year 2011/2012. This research belongs to classroom action research consist of three cycle and each have four phases, namely  planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The collecting data of research uses questionnaire, observation, and interview. Validation data uses triangulation of methods and triangulation of observers. The research uses analyzed descriptively.  The result in cycles I describes that generally the research target is not achieve yet that showed teacher?s performance indicators are 86,67%, classroom climate indicators are 72,79%, science attitude of students in class are 69,12%, and motivation of achievement in students are 68,63%. The result in cycles II describes that the research target is not achieve yet optimally that showed teacher?s performance indicators are 96,67%, classroom climate indicators are 78,67%, science attitude of students in class are 75,98%,  and motivation of achievement in students are 74,18%. The result in cycles III describes that the research target is completely achieve and showed that teacher?s performance indicators are 100%,  , classroom climate  indicators are 91,18%, science attitude of students in class are 84,31%, and motivation of achievement in students are 84,31% and utility of learning facilities in the classroom have been optimally. Cycles stopped in cycles III because the research target is achieved. The conclusion of this research describes that the implementation of inductive thinking learning model based science process skills can improve  quality of biology learning for  teacher?s performance, utility of facilities in the classroom,  classroom climate, science attitude of student, and motivation of achievement in student of class X.7 in 2th senior high school of Karanganyar year 2011/2012.
