Abstract

The objective of this research is to comprehend (1) SKI teachers? understanding about curriculum 2013, (2) teachers? lesson plan on teaching SKI, (3) the teaching practice of SKI, (4) teaching evaluation of SKI, (5) obstacles and supportive factors in teaching SKI based on the curriculum 2013 on the topic of BaniAbbasiyah for class XI IPS in MAN 1 Surakarta.This research is a qualitative descriptive research. It was conducted in MAN 1 Surakarta with class XI IPS as the subjects. This study case research used single-rooted approach. Sources of the data were (1) informants, i.e. SKI teachers, vice principal of curriculum section, and students of XI IPS, (2) places, events, or activities, and (3) documents or archive. Sampling method used was purposive sampling. Data were collected by means of (1) interview, (2) observation, and (3) document analysis. Data validity was tested through triangulation of sources and methods. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and verification.The results showed that (1) SKI teachers? understanding about curriculum 2013 was already good; (2) lesson planning was based on the guidance in the curriculum 2013; (3) teaching practices were in accordance with the lesson plan developed by the teachers consisting of three stages i.e. introduction, main activity covering 5M, and closing. Those three stages were employed by SKI teachers to set up character values to the students; (4) evaluation of SKI teaching covered cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects; (5) supportive factors in teaching SKI included complete facilities, training of curriculum 2013  for teachers, and complete learning sources. On the other hand, the obstacles were inadequate time allotment for SKI, i.e. only an hour, students? low interest in learning SKI, and difficulties in evaluating the SKI teaching due to many administrative procedure of evaluation based on curriculum 2013. Efforts carried out by teachers to solve the problems were choosing appropriate model and method of teaching in the lesson planning, conducting outdoor class to reduce students? boredom, and using certain strategies to approach the students to know their characteristic and competence in order to ease the teachers in doing the evaluation.

Abstract

The aim of this research are to find out: (1) the background of Chinese and Javanese cultural assimilation in Surakarta 1966-1998, (2) The process of Chinese and Javanese cultural assimilation in Surakarta 1966-1998, (3) The impact of Chinese and Javanese cultural assimilation after 1966-1998, (4) The relevance of the research result of Chinese-Surakarta ethnic assimilation in 1966-1998 for multicultural education.The method used in this research are qualitative research methods. The steps taken in this method including data collection, data reduction, data analysis, presentation of data, and conclusion.The result of this research are : (1) The background of Chinese and Javanese cultural assimilation are caused by internal factor and external factor. Internal factor include the condition of Chinese community in the middle of the Javanese majority and economic problem. The external factor are appeared because of the New Order government policy. (2) The process of Chinese and Javanese cultural assimilation are divided into two periods, Old Order period led by Soekarno and New Order period led by Soeharto. (3) The impact of Chinese and Javanese cultural assimilation are contained in performing art and celebration day that contains cultural combination between Chinese and Javanese culture. (4) The result of this research are relevant with education field. Particularly as additional teaching materials for multicultural education in high school education.

Abstract

According to the result, it can concluded : (1) Pondok Pesantren Al-Muayyad Surakarta founded in 1930 by KH. Abdul Mannan with KH. Ahmad Shofawi and Prof. KH. Moh Adnan and used the madrasah system data by KH. Ahmad Umar Abdul Manan. With the Madrasah , in this case SMP Al-Muayyad started from the purpose of Pondok Pesantren Al-Muayyad to anticipate the dearth of cadres or the nations that has alhussunah wal jama'ah principles in the future. (2) The daily activities of the student are following the schedule that defined by the committee of the pondok pesantren. They all are required to have discipline about studying , praying, washing and ironing the clothes, etc. All activity in the Pondok Pesantren Al-Muayyad are ?Tarbyah Islamiyah? as the provision for the students to face the challenges in life and society, the kinds and form of the activity are mental and science that can transferred as the provision in the future. (3) In Overcoming the adolescent mischief in Pondok Pesantren Al-Muayyad Surakarta, Student are given Islamic Education as much as possible to practiced by the students in daily life that appropriate with the religious guidance. This is done by the step by step process towards the goal that defined, that is instill the taqwa and akhlaq, and also hold the truth, so can formed the achievers, virtuous that appropriated with the religious guidance. Abstract

The purposes of this study were to determine (1) planning of history learning in 4 semesters program at SMA N 3 Surakarta; (2) describe the teaching learning process of history lesson in 4 semesters program at SMA N 3 Surakarta; (3) problems faced by the teacher in teaching learning process of history lesson in 4 semesters program; (4) solutions to resolve the problems faced by the teacher inteaching learning process of history lesson in 4 semesters program at SMA N 3 Surakarta.This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data were collected through observation, interview, and document analysis. Data validity was done through method triangulation and source triangulation. Technique of analyzing data used by the author was an interactive model of analysis that includes data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions or verification. The result of this research showed that (1) teacher used the same planning of history learning with regular class, but the time allocation in teaching learning was different; (2) The strategies in teaching learning process in four semesters program are faster than regular class; (3) There are two factors that being problems faced by the teacher in teaching learning process of history lesson in four semesters program. The first, the differences of students concentration level in material include in internal factors. Second, the time allocation was given by the school demanded faster than regular class include in external factors; (4)To resolve the problems faced in teaching learning process,  the teacher used some strategies to attract the students? concentration. For example, the teacher devided the material into several forms.

THE APPLICATION OF LEARNING MODEL OF COOPERATIVE LEARNING WITH INDEX CARD MATCH MEDIA IN INCREASING STUDENTS' ACTIVENESS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES IN HISTORY SUBJECT OF CLASS X MIA 1 SMA NEGERI 1 BREBES SALEM IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR OF 2014/2015. Thesis. Faculty of Education and Teacher Training. Sebelas Maret University Surakarta. July 2015.The purpose of this research is to enhance the students? activeness and learning outcomes of students in class X MIA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Salem Brebes by applying the teaching model of cooperative learning with index card match media in history subject.This research is a classroom action research (CAR). The research was conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of a plan, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects were 38 students of class X MIA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Salem. Source of data was derived from the teacher, the students and the learning process. Data collection techniques were implemented by conducting tests, observations, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. Testing the data validity was by using triangulation techniques. Data analysis was conducted by using comparative descriptive analysis techniques. The research model used was the spiral model (Planning, Acting, Observing and Reflecting).The results showed that the teacher could be categorized as be able to teach well in the learning process, so that the learning process ran well. The ability of teachers to teach in pre-cycle was 62.5% which increased to 79.5% in the first cycle and 85.71% in the second cycle. The implementation of teaching model of cooperative with index card match media could enhance the students? activeness and learning outcomes of studying history subject of class X MIA 1 in pre-cycle to the first cycle and from cycle I to cycle II. The students? activeness in pre-cycle was 63.15% which increased to 79.27% in the first cycle and 82.31% in the second cycle. The completeness of students? learning outcomes in pre-cycle was 65.79% which increased to 73.68% in the first cycle and successfully developed to 81.37 in the second cycle.Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be drawn the conclusion that the teaching model of cooperative learning with index card match media enhance the students? activeness and learning outcomes of class X MIA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Salem Brebes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study were (1) To determine the background of the ceremony in Sudiroprajan Sudiro Grebeg tradition, (2) process Grebeg Sudiro the ceremony tradition, (3) Acculturation of Chinese culture with Java in Grebeg Sudiro. The research was conducted using qualitative methods in Sudiroprajan ethnographic approach. The strategy is a case study of a single glued. Data sources used include informants, places and events and documents. Sampling is used purposive sampling and snowball sampling. Data collection techniques used were interviews, observation and document analysis. The validity of data using triangulation of data and the triangulation method. Technique analiisis data using interactive analysis model is interaction between the three components of data analysis with data collection cycle. Based on these results it can be concluded: (1) Grebeg Sudiro formed due to the awareness and intention of the citizens Sudiroprajan to show the harmony and the harmony that exists between two different ethnic (2) The ceremonial procession tradition Sudiro Grebeg include various series of events that must be passed among is pre dinner charity event Bok Teko earth January 12th 2012 and the top event Grebeg Sudiro which took place on January 15, 2012 event in which both have requirements that must be met, and complete the necessary equipment ceremony. (3) Acculturation of Chinese culture with the tradition of Javanese culture Grebeg Sudiro mountains visible in the arrangement of the two pie basket Estri Mountains and the Mountains Jaler normally found in traditional Javanese, and Lion Dance Liong look a ritual ceremony before the show, because of prior experience acculturation with Javanese cultural performances and Lion Dance Liong not familiar ritual and Javanese traditional music Keroncong collaborated with Mandarin song called Keroncong Mandarin. Abstract

This study aims to explore the root of Pancasila as national ideology of Indonesia. Two research questions arised: 1) what kind of cultural root of Pancasila in the life of Indonesian people; 2) what kind of processes of Indonesian leaders in formulating Pancasila. Method used was documentary study, both primary and secondary documents. The results show that many parts of Pancasila have to be culture of Indonesian. On the other hand, reconstruction of formulating Pancasila has to be deviated by political power of interest group. Nugroho Notosusanto as the New Order historian wanted to de-Soekarno-ization through heroificated Muhammad Yamin as Pancasila discoverer.

Abstract

The objectives of research were: 1) to find out the historical teachers? understanding in SMA MTA Surakarta about the main competency of 2013 Curriculum, 2) to find out the implementation plan of main competency of the 2013 curriculum in historical learning in SMA MTA Surakarta, 3) to find out the application of main competency of 2013 curriculum in historical learning in SMA MTA Surakarta, and 4) to find out the evaluation the history teachers took in SMA MTA Surakarta in the implementation of main competency of 2013 curriculum.This study was a descriptive qualitative research. Techniques of collecting data used were interview, observation, and data analysis. To validate the data, the author employed data and method triangulations. Technique of analyzing data used by the author was an interactive model of analysis. The research procedure employed included pre research, field research, data analysis, and report writing stages.The results of research were as follows: 1) History teacher in SMA MTA Surakarta understood the main competency as the foundation on which a teacher realized the objective to be achieved in learning and the objective wanted by curriculum. 2) The plan the teachers made in historical learning implementation with the main competency of 2013 curriculum corresponding to the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) of 2013 curriculum. 3) The historical learning implementation based on the main competency of 2013 curriculum in SMA MTA Surakarta had run well, because in historical learning process, the teachers always generated spiritual, social attitude competencies, knowledge competency, and skill competency of students. The student had also been able to demonstrate well every main competency. 4) During historical learning process, evaluation on any competency had also been carried out well by the teacher.The conclusion of research was that the application of main competency of 2013 curriculum through scientific approach with 5M (observing, questioning, collecting information, associating, and communicating) stages and student-centered approach could improve the competency of students comprehensively in historical learning in SMA MTA Surakarta.

Abstract

North Korea is a country located in the northern part of the Korean peninsula at latitude 37° 43° N and longitude 124° 131° E. In North Korea, all residents must follow the draft. Military force was formed to protect North Korea from attacks another country, and as one of the policy to cover the hunger problem in the country due to the bad economy. The head of government is the first North Korea Kim Il Sung, who was a freedom fighter. Around 1990, Kim Il Sung died of the World. Before his death, the government has handed over to Kim Jong Il. Kim Jong Il was born in the Soviet time parents fought Japanese troops in North Korea. After four years, Kim Jong Il returned to Pyongyang. In 1998, Kim was inaugurated as the position of the highest positions in the State of North Korea (Selig. S. Harrison. 2002). North Korea to modernize the country by focusing the power of the state in economic planning, heavy industry and military development. North Korea improve the economy by developing nuclear energy instead of electric energy. In addition, the development of nuclear energy has the objective for national defense and security (Kompas, May 12, 2003). However, the United States was worried about North Korea's nuclear development program because it can threaten the stability of the Korean Peninsula. For the United States the North Korean nuclear issue to be taken seriously, so that the United States tried to pressure North Korea to halt its nuclear development program (Tempo, February 12, 1994). Through economic ties and integration with the international North Korea Pyongyang aims to have awareness of the importance of maintaining regional and international peace, including with South Korea. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve motivation and student learning outcomes in history object of class X IIS 3 SMAN 5 Surakarta academic year 2015/2016 through the application of cooperative learning method type Learning Together model with World Civilization Site media in history subject. This research is classroom action research. The experiement was conducted in twwo cycle, with each cycle consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Subjects were students of X IIS 2 SMAN 5 Surakarta which is consisting 29 student, history teacher, and the teacher and learning. Techniques of data collection is by interview, observation, questionaires, tests and document analyzing. Test validity of data using the technique of triangulation method and triangulation sourch (data). Data analysis using comparative descriptive techniques and interactive analys. Research procedure is the spiral model (Planning, Acting, Observing and Reflecting). The result showed that; (1) the application of cooperative learning method type learning together model with world civilization site media can improve student motivation in history subject of class X IIS 3 SMAN 5 Surakarta academic year 2015/2016. It can be seen from the result of the percentage of achievement indicators in the questionnaire student motivation in history subject. The student motivation in history subject of precycle is 57.30% increase to 75.95% in the first cycle and increase to 84.46.02% in the second cycle. This acquistion has exceeded the target of 80 %; (2) the application of cooperative learning method learning together model with world civilization site media can improve student learning outcomes of class X IIS 3 SMAN 5 Surakarta academic year 2015/2016. It can be seen from the mastery of cognitive test score. The completeness of student learning outcomes in precycle amount to 55.17% increase to 74.86% in the first cycle and successfully increase in the second cycle into 89.65%. This acquistion has exceeded the target of 80 %. Based on the research finding and discussion, it can be concluded that Cooperative Learning method with the type of Learning Together by using World Civilization Site Media can increase the motivation and learning outcomes of students of X IIS 3 of SMAN 5 Surakarta.
