Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of play-based learning on the level of motor skills of students at State Elementary School 020267 Binjai. The background of this study is based on the importance of developing motor skills in elementary school-aged children through a fun learning approach, according to the child's physical development stage. Play-based learning is believed to provide varied motor stimulation and stimulate active physical activity, so that it can improve students' motor skills optimally. The method used in this study is pre-experimental with a one group pretest-posttest design. The subjects in this study were 20 fifth-grade students of State Elementary School 020267 Binjai. Data collection techniques were carried out by testing motor skills before (pretest) and after (posttest) the play-based learning treatment. The instrument used was a motor skills test that included aspects of coordination, balance, agility, and strength. The results of data analysis showed a significant increase in students' motor skills after being given play-based learning. This was indicated by the difference in pretest and posttest scores analyzed using a t-test, where the t-test value was obtained > t-table at a significance level of 0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that play-based learning has a positive effect on improving students' motor skills at SD Negeri 020267 Binjai.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on the critical thinking skills of students at SMP Negeri 29 Medan. This study uses a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The sampling technique in this study uses a random sampling technique. The sample in the study was 30 students in the experimental class and 30 students in the control class. Data collection was carried out using a critical thinking ability questionnaire and multiple choice questions. Data analysis was carried out using the t-test. The results showed that the t count value> t table (20.299> 2.045). So it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on the critical thinking skills of students at SMP Negeri 29 Medan. The influence given by the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model is also shown by the posttest results (89.33) which are better than the pretest results (73.58) on the critical thinking skills of students at SMP Negeri 29 Medan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of physical fitness learning based on outdoor education on achievement motivation in students of SMA Negeri 11 Medan. This study uses a pretest-posttest control group design. The sampling technique in this study uses a random sampling technique. The sample in the study was 34 students in the experimental class and 34 students in the control class. Data collection was carried out using an achievement motivation questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out using a t-test. The results showed that the t count value> t table (24.868> 2.035). So it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of physical fitness learning based on outdoor education on achievement motivation in students of SMA Negeri 11 Medan. The effect given by physical fitness learning based on outdoor education is also shown by the posttest results (90.17) which are better than the pretest results (75.02) of achievement motivation in students of SMA Negeri 11 Medan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of student interest in futsal extracurricular activities and the factors that influence it at State Junior High School 45 Medan. The method used is a qualitative descriptive method with a survey approach using an instrument in the form of a closed questionnaire consisting of 42 statements. The subjects in this study were 30 students who participated in futsal extracurricular activities. The results of the study showed that the majority of students had a high interest in futsal extracurricular activities. Overall, the results of the study were that 23% of students were in the very high interest category, 60% of students were in the high interest category, 7% of students were in the medium interest category, 7% of students were in the low interest category, and 3% of students were in the very low interest category. Factors that influence student interest are classified into two, namely intrinsic factors (attention, feelings of pleasure, and activity) and extrinsic factors (the role of teachers/coaches, facilities, family support, and the environment). Both factors significantly contribute to the level of student interest in participating in futsal activities at school. This study demonstrates that the success of futsal extracurricular activities is significantly influenced by the efforts of coaches, the availability of adequate facilities, and a supportive environment. These findings are expected to inform evaluation and improvement for schools in managing and developing extracurricular programs to make them more engaging and beneficial for students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the STEM-based Project-Based Learning (PJBL) model and e-learning on elementary school students' learning motivation through a bibliometric approach. The method used was bibliometric analysis with the help of VOSviewer software to map research trends based on publication data from the Crossreff database. The analysis revealed six main keyword clusters: PJBL integration in STEM, technology and e-learning, motivation and engagement, evaluation of learning outcomes, the role of teachers and curriculum, and implementation challenges. These findings demonstrate that the global research focus is shifting toward active learning supported by digital technology and centered on students. In conclusion, the STEM-based PJBL approach integrated with e-learning contributes positively to increasing student learning motivation. It is recommended that teacher training and digital infrastructure support be improved to maximize the effectiveness of implementation at the elementary school level.
