The results of cycle research showed that 16 people (53.33%) completed the chest pass study and 14 people (46.67%) did not complete it. Student learning outcomes in doing chest passes in cycle I were average (69.2%). In cycle II, it showed that the results of the complete chest pass study were 26 people (86.67%), and 4 people (13.33%) did not complete it. Student learning outcomes in cycle II were average (80.0%). This research concludes that the application of a scientific approach has a significant influence on chest pass learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of moving ball games on children's gross motor skills This type of research is quantitative by using an experimental research design (Pre Exsprimen), The treatment in this study is the effect of moving ball games on children's gross motor skills 3. The sample in this study amounted to 25 people, totaling 25 people. Research instruments are tools that can be used to collect research data. The instrument used in this study is an observation sheet. The observation sheet is a record of the developments made in the learning process. The observation sheet is used by researchers to record the results of observations or observations made directly by researchers by the instrument and with the skills that children are expected to achieve. The data analysis technique used in this study is to compare the difference between the two average values, so it is done with the t-test. The results showed that, there was a significant difference in the effect of the experimental class using the moving ball game with the control class on students' motor skills.

Abstract

Physical fitness is an intrinsic ability of athletes that is extremely important and serves as one of the key factors in achieving high performance. The components of physical fitness that significantly influence athletes—such as endurance, strength, flexibility, coordination, and speed—can be improved through specific exercises. The purpose of this paper is to determine the influence of an athlete’s physical condition on performance, which requires other aspects of physical fitness. The research method used is a literature review. The conclusion of this study is that several components of physical fitness significantly influence athletes, particularly in improving their performance. Therefore, efforts to improve physical fitness must be tailored to the specific needs of athletes in their respective sports.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement in underhand pass performance in volleyball through a play-based approach among 11th-grade Inglanfor students at Percut Sei Tuan State High School 1 during the 2023/2024 academic year. The study was conducted at Percut Sei Tuan State High School 1 during the 2023/2024 academic year, with a sample consisting of 34 11th-grade Inglanfor students. To analyze the data in this study and to determine the results in terms of student achievement—both individually and as a class—the research method used was the classroom action research method. Based on the results of the pre-test administered to the 11th-grade Inglanfor students at Percut Sei Tuan State High School 1, out of 34 students, only 8 had achieved the learning proficiency level, with an average score of 23.52%. The results of Cycle I showed that 28 out of 34 students had achieved the learning mastery level, with an average score of 82.35%, representing an improvement in student learning outcomes compared to the previous cycle. This study concludes that the use of a hanging ball can improve the learning process of underhand passing in volleyball among 11th-grade students in the English program at Percut Sei Tuan State High School 1 for the 2023/2024 academic year.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the effect of resistance band training on the speed of the “sabit” kick among participants in the pencak silat extracurricular program at SMKS Muhammadiyah 16 in Pon Village. Using a one-group pretest-posttest experimental design, this study involved 25 participants selected through purposive sampling. The intervention, consisting of a resistance band training program, was conducted over 8 weeks at a frequency of 3 times per week. The speed of the sickle kick was measured using a standardized test before and after the intervention. Data analysis included the Shapiro-Wilk normality test and a paired t-test. The results showed a significant increase in sickle kick speed, with the pretest mean of 15.12 (SD = 2.007) increasing to 19.32 (SD = 2.212) at the posttest (t(24) = -16.689, p < 0.001). The average increase of 4.2 kicks (27.8%) demonstrates the substantial effectiveness of the training program. A strong correlation between pretest and posttest scores (r = 0.826, p < 0.001) indicates consistent performance improvements across various initial ability levels. These findings conclude that resistance band training significantly improves the speed of the sickle kick in pencak silat athletes, with important implications for the development of training programs and the enhancement of competitive performance. Further research is recommended to explore long-term effects and the optimization of training protocols.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between nutritional status and dysmenorrhea among female students attending SMA 2 Lubuk Pakam, Hamparan Perak No. 40, Lubuk Pakam—Deli Serdang, North Sumatra; to determine the relationship between physical activity and dysmenorrhea among female students attending SMA 2 Lubuk Pakam, Hamparan Perak No. 40, Lubuk Pakam - Deli Serdang, North Sumatra; and to determine the relationship between nutritional status and physical activity on dysmenorrhea among female students attending SMA 2 Lubuk Pakam, Hamparan Perak No. 40, Lubuk Pakam - Deli Serdang, North Sumatra. This correlational study was conducted to determine the relationship between nutritional status and physical activity levels among female students at SMA 2 Lubuk Pakam, located at Hamparan Perak No. 40, Lubuk Pakam, Deli Serdang, North Sumatra. The sample size for this study was 20 female students. The research was conducted in the Lubuk Pakam District, Deli Serdang, North Sumatra. To collect the data, questionnaires were distributed, body mass index (BMI) was calculated, and the participants’ height and weight were measured. Conclusions from the findings: There is a relationship between a person’s dietary habits and the risk of developing dysmenorrhea. The calculated r value is 0.789, and the table value is 5.773. There is a relationship between regular exercise and the absence of dysmenorrhea. The calculated r value is 0.668, while the table value is 0.4438. If the calculated F-value (10.431) is greater than the critical F-value (3.88), then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, indicating that there is a strong association between X1 and X2 jointly on Y. If H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, then there is an association between Nutritional Status and Exercise jointly on Dysmenorrhea. Based on the hypotheses presented above, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between the independent factors and the dependent variable.
