Abstract

Abstract: The high incidence of hypertension in Indonesia is not followed by patient compliance in taking medication. The determinant of successful therapy is compliance with medication use. Low compliance levels cause problems such as increasing rates of chronic diseases and their complications. In 2019, the Tawangsari Sukoharjo Health Center was ranked eighth in Sukoharjo Regency with the largest number of hypertension patients, namely 1,583 people. This study aims to determine the relationship between drug compliance and the success of therapy in hypertension patients at the outpatient installation of Tawaangsari Health Center, Sukoharjo. This study is a descriptive observational study with a cross-sectional approach. Data collection was carried out using a purposive sampling method using the ASK-12 questionnaire in hypertensive patients who met the inclusion criteria. The research data were analyzed using chi-square statistics. The results showed that patients with high compliance were 45.7% while low compliance was 54.3%. The success rate of therapy was 55.7% of patients succeeded and 44.3% of patients failed. The results of the chi-square test showed a P value of 0.026 (P <0.05), which means that there is a relationship between compliance and the success of antihypertensive therapy in outpatient settings at the Tawangsari Health Center Keywords: Compliance level ; antihypertensive therapy ; therapeutic success

Abstract

Surfactant is one of the important things in making face clay cleanser preparations. Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) is an anionic type surfactant that is often used in cosmetic products. The use of Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) can cause irritation and dry skin. Combination with cocamidopropyl betaine (CAPB) which is amophoteric can reduce skin irritation. Based on this, a safety test is needed which aims to meet the preparation requirements before being marketed to the wider community. One of the safety tests that can be done is the skin irritation test. The test method used is the human patch test. The irritation test of the optimum preparation of face clay cleanser celery herb extract (Apium graviolens L.) with a concentration of 0.5% SLS and 9.5% CAPB was carried out on 6 volunteers consisting of men and women aged 20-35 years, the score of the degree of irritation was 0, which means that the preparation is not irritating. Based on the evaluation with SPSS, it can be concluded that there is no significant difference (p>0.05) for the irritation test results and the optimum preparation of celery herb extract face clay cleanser (Apium graviolens L.) meets the safety requirements.

Abstract

Pain, stiffness, swelling, and decreased joint function are some of the clinical signs of osteoarthritis, a disease that affects numerous anatomical and physiological aspects of joint tissue, cartilage degradation, bone remodeling, and osteophyte development. This literature review's objective is to ascertain the efficacy of NSAIDs in osteoarthritis by searching for journals from PubMed.. The method used was to search for articles through pubmed using the keywords "NSAID", "osteoarthritis", "Therapy" with a filter added for the last 5 years (2019-2024) obtained 103 articles. Then with the keywords "NSAID", "osteoarthritis", "therapy", "efficacy" obtained 71 articles. After analysis, there are 13 journals that can be include into inclusion requirement. NSAIDs preparations are particularly helpful for osteoarthritis therapy, both in knee and hip osteoarthritis. NSAIDs medications in a variety of dose forms, including oral, topical, spray, injection and plaster, are useful in relieving pain in osteoarthritis patients

Abstract

Moringa leaves contain flavonoids, phenols, tannins, alkaloids, saponins, terpenoids, and steroids. The flavonoid and phenol content has antioxidant activity. This research aimed to determine compounds in the ethanol extract of Moringa leaves To determine the type of flavonoid content using FTIR and HPLC. FTIR analysis shows that Moringa leaves possibly contain compounds from quercetin derivatives, which is supported by HPLC analysis. This quercetin compound is a group of flavonols that are characterized by the presence of a hydroxyl group and a carbonyl group. HPLC analysis was carried out by making a quercetin standard with a concentration of 200 ppm. The resulting wavelength is 254 nm. The results of the quercetin standard chromatogram which contains one main peak obtained from the quercetin standard. This peak shows the retention time at 3 minutes. The results of the standard chromatogram, quercetin has an outer area of 44763473 and a sample area of 17455781 with 2 times dilution, so the % purity of fraction 9 for quercetin is 77.99 ppm. This HPLC analysis shows that Moringa leaves probably contain quercetin derivatives which are characterized by the same retention time between the sample and the quercetin standard, namely at a retention time of 3 minutes, and have a peak pattern that is almost the same as the quercetin standard.
