Abstract

Kolaborasi antara apoteker dengan dokter menjadi faktor penentu untuk peningkatan kualitas proses perawatan pada pasien. Kolaborasi yang berhasil antar anggota profesi memfasilitasi berjalanya pelayanan yang berkualitas, salah satu penyakit yang membutuhkan kolaborasi yang efektif antara apoteker dan dokter adalah Infeksi Saluran Kemih (ISK). Tujuan penelitian ini ialah mengetahui hubungan diantara apoteker dan dokter terhadap pasien Infeksi Saluran Kemih di Rumah sakit “X” kota Semarang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode axelsson. Hasil uji spermeant test menunjukan bahwa keempat domain koordinasi, kontrak, kerja sama, kolaborasi apoteker dan dokter berkorelasi signifikan (sig. <0,05). Berdasarkan domain koordinasi, kontrak, kerja sama, kolaborasi apoteker dan dokter dalam pelayanan pasien ISK di rumah sakit “X” kota Semarang termasuk kategori baik. Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic disease characterized by increased glucose levels in the blood. The prevalence of type 2 DM is currently increasing. In pharmacological treatment, metformin is the first-line oral therapy for most patients with type 2 diabetes. Therapy with targeted incretin has been shown to stimulate glucose-dependent insulin secretion, reduce glucagon secretion, improve beta cell function, slow gastric emptying, increase satiety, reduce appetite, and provide general benefits beyond the pancreas. Search for scientific articles by utilizing internet searches through Google Scholar and PubMed. Using keywords related to "Cost Effective Analysis", "Diabetes Mellitus type 2", "Sitagliptine" with Boolean operator "AND". Sitagliptin is less cost-effective when compared to liraglutide. Sitagliptin is the first agent of the DPP-4 inhibitor with other substances following soon after. The evaluation shows that the prevention of complications in patients with type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease (CVD) in the SGLT2 inhibitor group is more recommended, namely empaglifozin as the second line compared to sitagliptin.

Abstract

Pain, stiffness, swelling, and decreased joint function are some of the clinical signs of osteoarthritis, a disease that affects numerous anatomical and physiological aspects of joint tissue, cartilage degradation, bone remodeling, and osteophyte development. This literature review's objective is to ascertain the efficacy of NSAIDs in osteoarthritis by searching for journals from PubMed.. The method used was to search for articles through pubmed using the keywords "NSAID", "osteoarthritis", "Therapy" with a filter added for the last 5 years (2019-2024) obtained 103 articles. Then with the keywords "NSAID", "osteoarthritis", "therapy", "efficacy" obtained 71 articles. After analysis, there are 13 journals that can be include into inclusion requirement. NSAIDs preparations are particularly helpful for osteoarthritis therapy, both in knee and hip osteoarthritis. NSAIDs medications in a variety of dose forms, including oral, topical, spray, injection and plaster, are useful in relieving pain in osteoarthritis patients

Abstract

Keringat berlebih dapat menyebabkan timbulnya bau badan karena berinteraksi dengan proses metabolisme bakteri di kulit seperti Staphylococcus aureus dan Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Daun jambu air (Syzygium aqueum) dan daun mangga (Mangifera indica L.) mengandung senyawa metabolit sekunder seperti flavonoid, alkaloid, fenol, tanin dan saponin yang dapat berfungsi sebagai antibakteri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui zona penghambatan antibakteri pada ekstrak serta sediaan deodorant spray dengan ekstrak terpurifikasi kombinasi daun jambu air dan daun mangga pada perbandingan 1:1, 1:2, 2:1 dan formula sediaan deodorant spray dengan konsentrasi 5% (F1), 7,5% (F2), dan 10% (F3) melalui metode difusi cakram. Hasil penelitian menunjukan zona hambat ekstrak terhadap Staphylococcus aureus berurutan yaitu 8,24±0,09 mm, 12,34±0,12 mm, dan 10,31±0,06 mm dan pada Pseudomonas aeruginosa yaitu 7,25±0,15 mm, 8,36 ±0,13 mm, dan 7,36±1,00 mm. Zona hambat sediaan deodorant spray terhadap Staphylococcus aureus sebesar F1 10,32±0,09 mm, F2 11,64±0,10 mm, dan F3 13,70±0,09 mm, terhadap Pseudomonas aeruginosa yaitu F1 7,34±0,12 mm, F2 9,32±0,09 mm, dan F3 10,68±0,05 mm. Kesimpulan daya hambat ekstrak kombinasi terbaik pada 1:2 yaitu 8,36±0,13 dan 12,34±0,12 mm, dan deodorant spray pada formula F3 13,70±0,09 dan 10,68±0,05 dalam kategori kuat.

Abstract

Type 2 diabetes mellitus is characterized by chronic hyperglycemia, and glibenclamide remains a commonly used oral antidiabetic. Concomitant consumption of sappanwood extract (Biancaea sappan (L.) Tod.) is widespread in Indonesia, raising concerns about herb–drug interactions. This study investigated whether sappanwood modifies the elimination of glibenclamide in Wistar rats. Rats were randomized into three groups: Group I received glibenclamide 10 mg/kg BW; Group II received sappanwood extract 400 mg/kg BW; Group III received the combination. Blood was collected from the retro‐orbital plexus at 20, 22, and 24 h and analyzed by UV–Vis spectrophotometry. Pharmacokinetic parameters were derived by linear regression and residual analysis. In Group I, the terminal log‐linear profile yielded an elimination rate constant (Ke) of 0.1218 h−1 and an elimination half‐life (t1⁄2) of 5.79 h. In Group III, co‐administration with sappanwood produced Ke = 0.0066 h−1 and t1⁄2 = 105 h, indicating a pronounced slowing of glibenclamide elimination relative to control. Group II did not receive glibenclamide and was excluded from pharmacokinetic calculations. Sappanwood extract markedly altered glibenclamide disposition, consistent with a pharmacokinetic herb–drug interaction. The findings suggest that bioactive flavonoids (e.g., Brazilin and quercetin derivatives) may inhibit metabolic pathways relevant to glibenclamide clearance, leading to prolonged exposure.

Abstract

Luka sayat merupakan cedera kulit yang memerlukan terapi topikal untuk mempercepat penyembuhan dan mencegah infeksi. Tamanu oil (Calophyllum inophyllum L.) mengandung asam oleat dan asam linoleat yang berperan dalam regenerasi jaringan, sehingga berpotensi sebagai terapi alternatif penyembuhan luka. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui efektivitas salep tamanu oil terhadap penyembuhan luka sayat pada mencit putih jantan (Mus musculus). Sebanyak 20 ekor mencit dibagi menjadi lima kelompok: kontrol negatif (basis salep), kontrol positif (povidone iodine 10%), serta salep tamanu oil dengan konsentrasi 10%, 15%, dan 20%. Evaluasi meliputi uji organoleptik, homogenitas, pH, viskositas, daya sebar, daya lekat, dan stabilitas. Analisis menggunakan One-Way ANOVA dan uji Post Hoc Duncan menunjukkan adanya perbedaan signifikan antar kelompok (p<0,05), dengan formula tamanu oil (F1, F2, F3) berada pada subset yang sama dengan kontrol positif. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa salep tamanu oil konsentrasi 10%, 15%, dan 20% efektif dalam mempercepat penyembuhan luka sayat pada mencit putih jantan.
