Abstract

Policy implementation is a stage of public policy that has been formulated and must be realized. For this reason cooperation is needed between the Batam City Government and all stakeholders in the Batam City area to preserve the environment. The purpose of this study was to determine each process in the implementation of the Regional Regulation No. 4 of 2014 concerning Environmental Protection and Management in order to reduce environmental pollution in Batam City. This research was conducted at the Batam City Environmental Service. The author's research method is a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach and qualitative analysis methods, with the aim of focusing on the problems or phenomena that existed at the time the research was conducted, then describing the facts and explaining the state of the research object in accordance with the reality as it is, and trying to analyze to provide truth based on the data obtained. The results of the study can be concluded that the implementation of policies in general has been going well, but has not been maximized, there are still shortcomings, such as the lack of awareness on the part of companies that do not implement policies on environmental management properly. Abstract

The Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection isconsidered to ensure protection from discrimination, violence, and other violations. The purpose of thisstudy is to describe the implementation of Regional Regulation Number 2 of 2016 concerning theImplementation of Child Protection in the city of Batam, to analyze the inhibiting factors in theimplementation of Regional Regulation Number 2 of 2016 concerning the Implementation of ChildProtection in the city of Batam. The type of research method used is descriptive qualitative methodwith interview, observation, and documentation data collection techniques. The data sources of thisresearch consist of primary data and secondary data. The results of the study show thatcommunication, namely 1.Communication of the Office of Social Affairs and CommunityEmpowerment has communicated quite well by involving community leaders, social services, socialservice assistants then the police, perpetrators, and victims and the community is aware of the servicethat protects children. According to the researcher, the communication between the Social Service andcommunity empowerment should be further improved so that the community and victims dare to reportto the Social Service and community empowerment. Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of celebrity endorsers and advertisements on the buying interest of Lazada e-commerce consumers in the Batam city community. In this study, there is an analytical method using quantitative analysis and analytical tools to obtain data by distributing questionnaires. In this study, a sample size of 100 respondents was analyzed to answer each questionnaire statement that had been distributed to obtain data. The data that has been obtained from distributing questionnaires is analyzed with the help of a tool, namely SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) version 25 for multiple linear regression analysis and hypothesis testing with the aim of finding the effect of celebrity endorsers and advertisements on Lazada e-commerce consumer buying interest in the community. Batam city. The results of the t-test show that the celebrity endorser variable is 3.107>1.98472 with sig 0.002<0.05 proving that celebrity endorser has a positive and significant effect on buying interest, advertising 3.235>1.98472 with sig 0.002<0.05 proves that advertising has a positive and significant effect on buying interest. While the results of the F test show the fcount value of 24.834> 3.09 with sig 0.000 <0.05 proving that the variable (X1) celebrity endorser and variable (X2) advertising simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on the variable (Y) buying interest.

Abstract

This study plans to examine the impact of capital structure on profitability. Thisstudy has 15 samples of property and real estate companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2016-2020 period using purposive sampling technique. In this review, the capital structure is estimated using the Debt to Asset Ratio (DAR) and Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) proportions followed by Profitability using the ROA proportion. The analysis method of this study was reviewed using multiple linear regression tests using SPSS Version 25. From the analysis results showed that the Capital Structure variable (DAR and DER) partially had a significant effect on ROA Properties and Real Estate on the IDX for the 2016-2020 period at the level of significance less than 5%. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, it shows that simultaneously there is a significant effect between the variables DAR, DER (Capital Structure) on the ROA (Profitability) of Property and Real Estate companies for the 2016-2020 period listed on the IDX.

Abstract

In 2021, there have been many online shopping sites that can be enjoyed by consumers in Indonesia. Several e-commerce sites began to compete with each other to attract consumers, so that every year e-commerce visitors always experience an increase and decrease. Based on Iprice Insight in Q4 2020, Shopee has the highest number of visitors compared to Tokopedia. In Q2 2021, Tokopedia visitors experienced an increase and Shopee dropped to the second position. This research is useful to identify the effect of service quality and trust on consumer buying interest through online shopping sites either simultaneous or partial. To obtain data, questionnaires will be distributed to 385 respondents. The data management analysis method in this study uses multiple linear regression hypothesis analysis using T and F tests using the SPSS version 25 application. The results of this study prove that simultaneously and partially service quality and trust have a positive and significant effect on consumer buying interest.

Abstract

The sea-surrounded Batam area has the potential for Marine and Fisheries resources. The activity of large fishing vessels is observed along the city’s sea of Batam. PSDKP Batam city is under the KKP (Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries) which oversees the resources and fisheries available in Batam. The purpose of this research is to know the role of PSDKP in overseeing fishing operations in Batam, The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method. The data-collection techniques used in this research include interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this research show that the control conducted by PSDKP is still lacking due to some factors, the lack of personnel and limited budget owned by PSDKP. There are still fishing vessels that have incomplete documents. The things PSDKP need to do are improving the number of qualified fisheries supervisors for better supervision of fishing vessels, maintaining good coordination with those involved in supervision of fishing vessels, and proposing an additional budget to get extra patrol boats. Abstract

The coaching program implemented by the Batam City Social Service is very important so that street children who live on the streets get their proper place. Through this research, the author aims to find out how the implementation of the guidance carried out by the Social Service and Batam City and to find out the inhibiting factors that affect the implementation of the street children development program in Batam City. Judging from the data obtained, there are several problems from the implementation process, including, the number of street children which is increasing every year, facilities and infrastructure, limited number of employees, and the problem of mentally disturbed children. The method used in this study uses qualitative research with a descriptive approach to obtain relevant and valid data in conducting a study. From this study, the authors involved 9 informants from parties related to the street children development program in Batam City.The Batam City Social Service in implementing the street children development program has implemented it in accordance with the applicable rules, it's just that in the implementation process there are still some obstacles so that the process of implementing street children guidance has not gotten the expected results.

Abstract

Human resources are needed in company's operational activities for achieving company’s goals. Employees assessment can be seen from their performance. Qualified employees can achieved the expected goals. This research aims to examine influence of communication and teamwork on employee performance at Asialink Hotel by Prasanthi Batam partially or simultaneously. Descriptive research design was determined using a quantitative approach. Data management and analysis tool used SPSS version 25. Sampling technique used saturated sampling, including all employees with total sample 104 respondents. Data collection using questionnaires via google form. Testing data using validity and reliability test. Classical assumption test using normality test, multicollinearity test and heteroscedasticity test. Influence test using multiple linear regression analysis and coefficient determination analysis. Hypothesis testing using T test and F test. According to the results of statistical testing, variables of communication, teamwork and employee performance are normally distributed, the independent variables do not occur multicollinearity and heteroscedasticity. Results of the coefficient determination indicate that communication and teamwork have an effect of 33.8% on employee performance, while the rest is influenced by other variables. The conclusion from the results is simultaneously communication and teamwork variable has a significant effect on employee performance.

Abstract

A trading company is a company that buys goods and resells them to gain a profit or profitability. The profit earned comes from the difference between purchase price and selling price. There are many factors that can affect the level of profitability. This research aims to study the affect of inventory turnover, receivable turnover and working capital turnover on profitability in trading companies that listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2016-2020. This can be a consideration for the company to improve company’s performance and also investors as one of the factor in making decision to invest. The population consisted of 27 companies with the sample technique used was purposive sampling. The sample in this study were companies that met the criteria, there were 7 companies with 35 data. The data is collected using secondary data which is taken through the official website www.idx.co.id and processed using SPSS application (Statistical Product and Service Solution) version 25. Based on the results, simultaneous inventory turnover, receivable turnover dan working capital turnover  have a significant effect of profitability. Partially, receivable turnover has an influence on profitability. Meanwhile, inventory turnover and capital working turnover partially do not have a significant effect on profitability of retail trading sub-sector trading companies that listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of workload and welfare on employee satisfaction at the Batam Business Board, using the saturated sample technique, in which all the population was sampled as many as 110 respondents who were employees of the Batam Business Board. The method of data collection is a questionnaire. The data quality test in this study uses validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests and influence tests in this study using multiple linear regression analysis and analysis of the coefficient of determination (R2), while hypothesis testing in this study uses (t test) and (F test) by using the SPSS 25 software program. The coefficient of determination (R2) obtained from the workload and welfare variables has an effect of 70.1% on employee satisfaction. Multiple linear regression test results show that workload (X1) has an effect of 80.8% on employee satisfaction (Y) and welfare (X2) has an effect of 47.1% on employee satisfaction (Y). From the results of the t test and F test, it can be concluded that workload has a partially significant effect on employee satisfaction and welfare has a partially significant effect on employee satisfaction, and workload and welfare together have a significant simultaneous effect on employee satisfaction at the Batam Business Board.
