Abstract

PT Bumitech Batam Prima is a company that focuses on construction projects covering various fields, including design, production, construction and project management. The task at PT Bumitech Batam Prima is to collect data for data processing. At that time, Microsoft Office was used to process data, which in turn was difficult for project managers to see. construction progress that was previously invisible, in carrying out project management activities there are still obstacles. The Rational Unified Process (RUP) methodology which includes use cases, sequences, activities and class diagrams for PHP programming using the Laravel Framework and PostgreSQL database, is used in this method . As a result of implementing the Project Management Information System in this research, company managers will be able to gain insight into quality, implementation, materials, and remaining problems, despite the fact that the project itself is computer-based but not computer-based. includes information systems.

Abstract

The world of technology is developing rapidly, which greatly influences humans to use the convenience provided by the use of technological facilities. In the context of health services, information systems function as the center of health development and are responsible for encouraging, providing, and delivering services. Abstract

The problems faced in the form of conventional-based labor recruitment problems, of course this has shortcomings, such as the company having difficulty getting workers who meet the company's standard qualifications and data management for admins in storing job applicant data is still not neat. This research aims to describe the current system, analyze the current workforce recruitment system, and propose a solution in the form of a new web-based workforce recruitment information system that utilizes Unfield Modeling Language (UML), a programming language that combines PHP and MySQL as the database. The System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method was used to build this application. This method consists of five stages: planning, analysis, design, implementation, and use. In particular, the Rapid Application Development (RAD) Software Development Method is an incremental software development process model that is well suited to short processing periods. The results of this research are in the form of a website and process flow diagrams created using use case diagrams, sequence diagrams, activity diagrams and class diagrams.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Sun Florist is a business engaged in the sale of flowers. In managing its business operations, Sun Florist still faces challenges such as recording sales transactions, marketing and promoting products, and knowing sales turnover reports. In managing data such as product data, ordering data, and transactions, it is still done manually, recorded on paper. Additionally, document storage media such as purchase orders, invoices, and delivery orders are also recorded on paper and stored in folders, thus the encountered difficulties in tracing the data recording process flow due to lack of integration and requiring large storage space, and consumers needing relatively long time or having difficulty obtaining information about the required products. From these issues, this research produces a web-based operational sales information system to assist the company in business efficiency and effectiveness. The research methodology used includes interview, observation, and literature study, while the system development methodology utilizes the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method and the Unified Modeling Language (UML) as a system depiction tool, with PHP as the programming language and MySQL as the database.

Abstract

Production optimization is an effort to improve the production process by reducing or eliminating production processes that do not provide added value or commonly referred to as waste. Wire harness is one of the electronics production produced by PT Surya Teknologi Batam. Based on 7 months data in July 2023 - February 2024, it was found that the production output was not achieved. For example in July where the production target is 5000pcs while the actual production obtained is 3,485pcs. This study aims to determine the causes of unachieved production output and find out how to achieve production output. The analysis method used is Lean Manufacturing with Value Stream Mapping method, to analyze the cause of waste, fishbone diagram is used. This research identified four wastes, motion has the highest weight of 25.9%, over processing has a weight of 25.6%, waiting 24.3%, and followed by defects which have the lowest weight of 24.2%. Several ways can be done to achieve production output, including improvements to waste in motion, over processing, waiting, and defects. Motion by applying the 5S concept and providing special storage racks for form by off (equipment). Over processing by implementing a monitoring system that can provide warnings to employees if there is a shortage of materials. Waiting by increasing the number of operators in the machine process to speed up the processing procedure. Defect by providing training on the importance of being thorough and setting a schedule for routine preventive maintenance for label printers. Based on future state mapping, the process cycle efficiency value is 92.56% which was previously 72.23% which means an increase of 28.1%, this indicates an increase in productivity in the wire harness production process.

Abstract

This research was conducted at a shop that sells goods or equipment for Buddhist worship called the Sinar Mas Indah shop. The Sinar Mas Indah shop operates every day except major holidays such as Chinese New Year. So far, the Sinar Mas Indah store has never used sales transaction data for analysis for the benefit of future business progress, sales transaction data is only stored in archive form, if it is old and feels no longer needed, it will simply be thrown away. , if used to predict future sales then decisions to increase sales in the future can be easily achieved. This research utilized datamining techniques with the C4.5 algorithm by testing the results using Weka software, from the 5 variables tested, category, brand, quantity, quality and price with a total of 160 test data. After calculating the entropy and gain values, the highest gain value was obtained. making consideration of consumer purchasing factors, namely Price, Quality, Quantity and category, into the main factors in decision making and there are results for Correctly Classified Instances 109 Data with a percentage value of 68.125% then for Incorrectly Classified Instances 51 data with a percentage value of 31.875%.

Abstract

This research identified and resolved the problem of wooden pallet production at PT Kayu Kreasi Sejahtera, where the average defect rate reached 7.52%, exceeding the minimum limit of 5%. Other problems include long machine set up times, long material distances, and material buildup. The research aims to minimize Waste and offer suggestions for improving the production process. Based on the assessment, Waste due to excess transportation has the highest percentage of 27.94%, which affects other Waste. Analysis using a fishbone diagram identifies the root of the problem, which becomes the basis for recommendations for improvements such as implementing clear SOPs, scheduled machine maintenance, replacing damaged machines, rearranging material distances, adding employees, and using automatic rolling conveyors. The implementation of future state mapping shows a reduction in production lead time from 1455 minutes to 1100 minutes, increasing productivity and process cycle efficiency from 54.98% to 72.73%, recording an increase of 17.74%.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has created opportunities for efficiency in voting processes through e-voting system. However, the conventional e-voting systems are often vulnerable to cyber attacks and data manipulation. The main issue lies in the centralized architecture of these systems, which present significant security risks. This study explores the implementation of a more secured e-voting system built on blockchain technology, utilizing smart contracts on the Ethereum platform, that leverages the Proof-of-stake consensus with specific focus on vendor selection. By utilizing a decentralized architecture, the blockchain-based system eliminates single points of failure and distributes data across multiple nodes, significantly reducing the risk of manipulation or unauthorized access. This research concludes that the implementation of blockchain technology, especially that leverages the PoS consensus algorithm and smart contract on the Ethereum platform, can perform effectively and provide enhanced security compared to conventional e-voting systems.

Abstract

SMPN 16 Batam is one of the schools in the Riau Islands that implements the Smart Indonesia Program through the Smart Indonesia Card. The selection process still uses the manual method based on the Headmaster's knowledge. To minimize errors and get fair results, a decision support system is needed to determine which students are worthy of receiving the Smart Indonesia Card. In this study uses the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method and the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity of Ideal Solution (TOPSIS). These two decision making methods were chosen because they have simple calculations. A comparison of the two methods is to see the differences in decision results from them. The criteria used in this study are parent’s income, parent’s completeness status, Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS) data status, report grades, and achievements. The alternative data used was 77 datas from 344 datas from SMPN 16 Batam students who received the assistance. Based on the results, it was found that the student who deserved this assistance was Al Furqan Syarifuddin with a result of 0.93 on SAW and 0.206 on TOPSIS. These two methods produce slightly different decisions in the order of student priority but produce top recommendations for students receiving Smart Indonesia Cards.

Abstract

This study was conducted to study K-Means Clustering in knowledge retrieval. The purpose of this study is to obtain the results of the analysis of the application of clustering with the K-Means algorithm in determining the number of tourist interests in each travel agent that cooperates with PT Pulau Bintang Emas in Batam. The data used to support marketing strategy decisions include gender, age and travel agent, promos which are analyzed using the K-Means Clustering Algorithm so that the right customer cluster is known for the promotional approach. The data will be processed using Rapidminer data processing software with the K-Means Clustering Algorithm and a value of K = 3 so that the data will produce three clusters. The total data that has been tested using Rapidminer software is 398 records with 3 clusters obtained, namely: Cluster 0 totaling 130 items, Cluster 1 totaling 111 items and Cluster 2 totaling 157 items . With a computing speed of 0.01 seconds.
