Abstract

Sampling technique used is Accidental Sampling. The independent variable is Bonapace Method, the instrument used is a checklist. Dependent variable is the reduction of labor pain in the active phase I, an instrument used to measure the level of pre and post pain with an observation sheet with a pain scale between 0 to 10 and an interview using the Verbal Descriptive Scale (VDS), rating scale, value 0 = no pain , 1-3 = mild pain, 4-6 = moderate pain, 7-9 = severe pain, 10 = very severe pain. Analysis of data using the Wilcoxon Sign Rank. The results of the data analysis stated sig (p) = 0,000 where α = 0.05, p <α, it means that there is an effect of the Bonapace Method on the reduction of labor pain in the active phase of the First Maternity where the Correlation or effect using the Wilcoxon Correlation = -0,382

Abstract

This study discusses the increase of drop out rate on contraceptives usage and its various underlying factors in the use of family planning in Central Sulawesi as one of many phenomena that occurs in the community. Logistic regression results of 2017 Indonesian Demographic and Health Survey on contraceptives usage data showed that injection had the highest drop out rate (31.9%), followed by Pills (11.9%), coitus interruptus (4%), and implant (2.4%). Some contraceptives methods that had below 2% drop out rate are periodic abstinence (1.8%), male condoms (1.3%), IUD (1%), LAM method (0.5%) and other traditional methods (0.3%). The high drop out rate of contraceptive usage will affect the continuity of the Family Planning program.

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the relationship between the role of head nurse and critical thinking of nurse to the documentation of integrated patient progress note. The study used a descriptive correlation design, a cross sectional approach, with a sample of 69 nurses who documented integrated patient pogress note, using cluster sampling techniques, through Pearson, Spearman, Mann Whitney and Linear Regression analyzes. There was a significant relationship between the role of head nurse (p=0.038; α=0.05) and the nurse's critical thinking (p=0.003; α=0.05) to the documentation of integrated patient progress note. Critical thinking of nurses is the most influential factor in documenting integrated patient progress note. Here needs to be a policy, evaluation and monitoring of the nursing manager through self-development in the application the role of head nurse, critical thinking of nurse and the implementation of documentation of integrated patient progress note

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between hemoglobin concentration and maximal oxygen volume in obese women. This study used a cross sectional study method using 40 obese women aged 18-22 years, body mass index 25-35 kg/m2 and percentage body fat above 30%, normal blood pressure, resting heart normal rate and fasting blood glucose below 100 mg / dL. Measurement of Hb concentration using Easy Touch with a unit concentration of g/dL, while VO2max measurement using the Astrand 6-minute cycle test method. Data analysis techniques used the Pearson Correlation test. The results obtained mean Hb (15,365±1,467) g/dL and VO2max (28,635 ± 4,256) ml/kg /min. Based on the results of the study concluded that there is a positive correlation between Hb levels with maximum oxygen capacity in obese women. Further research is needed to explain the physiological mechanism of the relationship between hemoglobin concentration and maximal oxygen volume in more detail
