Abstract

Mathematics has a central role in solving various problems in everyday life. Despite this, many students find mathematics difficult and intimidating. This research aims to overcome the problem of lack of creative thinking abilities in class V students at SDN 10 Banda Aceh by applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model. The research method used was an experiment with a True Experimental Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The population of this study was all fifth grade students at SDN 10 Banda Aceh (40 people), and samples were taken using purposive sampling technique, with 20 students as the experimental group and 20 students as the control group. The PBL model was applied to the experimental group, while the control group did not use the Problem Based Learning model. Data was collected through pretest and posttest in both groups. Data analysis uses statistical tests with a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.0150.05. The results of the research show that there is an influence of the PBL model on problem solving abilities in equivalent fraction material in class V at SDN 10 Banda Aceh. Thus, the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. The PBL model succeeded in increasing students' creative thinking abilities significantly. This research makes a positive contribution to the development of mathematics learning methods that can increase student engagement and their creative thinking abilities. The practical implication of this research is the need to apply the PBL model in improving the quality of mathematics learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Renewing the education curriculum needs to be carried out in order to improve the quality of education in Indonesia and create quality Human Resources (HR) that are able to compete with other countries in line with current developments. The independent learning curriculum is a policy that has been designed by the government with the aim of achieving significant progress in terms of the quality of education, thereby producing students and graduates who are ready to face complex future challenges. This curriculum has only been implemented in the 2021/2022 school year, and not all schools have implemented it. Therefore, there are still limited references regarding the independent learning curriculum, especially at the basic education level. The formulation of the problem in this research is "what are the obstacles for teachers in implementing the independent curriculum at SD Negeri 2 Meureudu Pidie Jaya?". This research aims to determine the obstacles teachers face in implementing the independent curriculum at SD Negeri 2 Meureudu Pidie Jaya. The approach in this research is a qualitative approach, the type of research is descriptive. The research subjects were class I, II, IV and V teachers at SD Negeri 2 Meureudu Pidie Jaya. Data collection techniques use observation and interviews, while data analysis techniques use data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The research results obtained can be concluded that the obstacles most often faced by teachers in implementing the independent learning curriculum are: a) Very many administrative demands; b) Teachers who do not yet have broad insight regarding the independent curriculum; c) Teachers who often do not master the use of technology; d) Teachers who have difficulty identifying differences in students' backgrounds and characteristics; and e) Students who also find it difficult to adapt from the previous curriculum they underwent.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are as follows. Describe the use of the storytelling method in material telling the content of fairy tales for class III students at UPTD SD Negeri 3 Peulimbang, Bireuen Regency. Describe students' speaking abilities in the material for telling the content of fairy tales using the storytelling method for class III students at UPTD SD Negeri 3 Peulimbang, Bireuen Regency. Describe the students' ability to find the message of the story. fairy tales using the storytelling method for class III UPTD students at SD Negeri 3 Peulimbang, Bireuen Regency. using a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type, the research site is SD Negeri 3 Peulimbang with a class III population of 21 people, data collection techniques using performance tests, and percentage data analysis techniques. From the data obtained, it is known that from the 25 students who took the test, 19 students were declared capable tell and find the moral message of the fairy tale by successfully getting a score of or equal to the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) score for Indonesian language subjects, namely 68, if it is a percentage, the number of students who are able to tell and find the moral message of the fairy tale is 90.4% ( 19/21 X 100%). Meanwhile, 2 other students were declared unable or still having difficulty in telling and finding the moral message of fairy tales, if the percentage was 9.6% (2/21 X 100%). From this percentage, it can be said to have achieved the expected speaking ability criteria. Students who are unable to do so are students who still find it difficult to tell and find the moral message of fairy tales. Thus, remediation needs to be carried out for students who are unable to do so. Based on the criteria that have been determined, if 85% of students are capable in the test, then learning is said to be successful. Thus, it can be concluded that learning through the storytelling method on the material of telling the content of fairy tales at SD Negeri 3 Peulimbang, Bireuen Regency can achieve completeness, because 90.4% of students are able to tell and find the moral message of fairy tales or reach the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) score. namely 68. Based on data analysis, if 85% of students are capable in the test, then learning is said to be successful. Thus, it can be concluded that learning through the storytelling method on the material of telling the content of fairy tales at UPTD SD Negeri 3 Peulimbang, Bireuen Regency can achieve completeness, because 90.4% of students are able to tell and find the moral message of fairy tales or achieve the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) score. ) which is 68.
