Abstract

Collaboration skills are one of the skills required to be developed in 21st-century education. This study aimed to determine the effect of implementing the problem-based learning (PBL) model on the collaboration skills of Islamic boarding school students. This research is a quasi-experimental study using a non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group design. This research was conducted at MA Miftahul Ulum Bettet Pamekasan, even semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. Collaboration skills data was collected through observation sheets and then analyzed using the t-test to determine differences in collaboration skills in the control and experimental group. The results showed that the implementation of PBL in learning could improve the collaboration skills of Islamic boarding school students (Sig. <.05). The results of this study indicate that the PBL learning model can be used as a reference for learning models to develop students' collaboration skills.

Abstract

Rendahnya hasil belajar dan karakter siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika di SMP Negeri 1 Kayangan menjadi dasar pentingnya peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran oleh guru. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengimplementasikan model pembelajaran open ended bermuatan pendidikan karakter untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini adalah tindakan kelas yang dilakukan di SMP Negeri 1 Kayangan, Lombok Utara pada kelas VIII.3 dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 28 orang tahun pelajaran 2022/2023. Prosedur penelitian tindakan meliputi empat tahapan, yaitu  (1) penyusunan rencana, (2) tindakan, (3) observasi, dan (4) refleksi yang dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rerata persentase aktivitas belajar siswa pada siklus I sebesar 68% dengan kategori kurang, sedangkan pada siklus II sebesar 84,30% dengan kategori baik. Selain itu, rerata nilai hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I sebesar 68,53 sedangkan pada Siklus II sebesar 85,57. Selain itu, ketuntasan belajar siswa pada siklus I sebesar 64,29% sedangkan pada siklus II sebesar 85,71%. Secara keseluruhan, implementasi model open ended dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar meningkatkan kejujuran, kedisplinan dan rasa ingin tahu siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika.

Abstract

This study aims to develop pop-up teaching materials for an excretion system material for junior high school students. This research is development research using a 4-D model, which includes four stages: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. Teaching material products are then validated and tested on a limited basis to see the practicality of teaching materials. The pop-up teaching materials developed have met the valid criteria, which have been carried out through media expert validation, content validation, and subject teachers. The validation results show that teaching materials are in the excellent category. In addition, the teaching materials have also fulfilled a series of limited trials on students, indicating that the teaching materials meet practical criteria. In general, the pop-up teaching materials that have been developed are well received by teachers and students. Pop-up teaching materials can increase motivation and student learning outcomes and are suitable for use as science learning materials for junior high school students, especially in excretion system material.

Abstract

Education currently requires students to manage their learning independently. This will support student achievement because students can set learning goals, monitor, set learning strategies, and even evaluate their learning. The application of the guided inquiry learning model is believed to be able to develop student self-regulated learning. This study aims to determine the effect of guided inquiry on student self-regulated learning. This research is a quasi-experimental study with a nonequivalent pretest–posttest control group design. The subjects of this study were 20 students in class X IPA A as an experimental class and class X IPA B with a total of 23 students as a control class. Self-regulated learning was measured using a questionnaire adapted from Marchis & Balogh. Prerequisite tests for normality, homogeneity, and prerequisite tests on the slope of the regression line between the covariates and the dependent variable are carried out before testing the hypothesis, followed by the Quade's Rank test. The study's results revealed that guided inquiry did not affect students' Self-regulated learning. Other factors or variables outside the research, such as learning motivation, learning regulation, discipline, self-confidence, and student learning styles, are thought to influence Self-regulated learning. In addition, the relatively short time of conducting guided inquiry is also believed to cause the lack of influence on student self-regulated learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan memahami kosa kata benda melalui implementasi media gambar pada siswa tunarungu di SLB Negeri 1 Lombok Barat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas IIB yang berjumlah 5 orang. Indikator keberhasilan penelitian ditinjau dari kemampuan memahami kosakata yang diukur menggunakan tes. Data hasil tes selanjutnya dianalisis secara deskriptif untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan siswa dalam memahami kosakata untuk tiap siklus. Kegiatan penelitian dilaksanakan selama dua siklus mulai bulan Agustus s/d Oktober 2021. Implementasi media gambar dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia dapat meningkatkan kemampuan kosa kata benda siswa SLB Negeri I Lombok Barat. Hal ini diperkuat oleh skor hasil belajar yang menunjukkan kemampuan kosa kata benda siswa. Kemampuan memahami kosa kata siswa pada pra perlakuan cukup rendah dengan hanya satu subjek yang memiliki skor sesuai KKM. Pelakuan pada siklus I melalui implementasi media gambar menunjukkan adanya peningkatan skor pemahaman kosa kata benda siswa, meskipun tidak seluruh subjek memiliki skor yang telah memenuhi KKM. Adanya kekurangan pada siklus I menjadi dasar perbaikan pembelajaran pada siklus II. Hasil belajar siswa pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan dari pre test, post test siklus I dan post test siklus II. Keseluruhan subjek memiliki skor di atas KKM yang telah ditetapkan. Hasil penelitian ini mengindikasikan bahwa implementasi media gambar efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kosa kata benda siswa tuna rungu SLB Negeri I Lombok Barat.

Abstract

21st-century education demands students to possess learning and innovation skills, proficiency in using technology, information media literacy, and life skills. This research aims to determine the correlation between students' self-directed learning and life skills. The subjects of this study were XF class students, totalling 32 students. Self-directed learning was measured using a questionnaire, including students' interest in learning biology, self-efficacy, self-assessment, and self-reaction. Meanwhile, life skills were measured using an observation sheet covering interpersonal skills, goal setting and collaborative achievement, responsibility, and management. Learning was conducted by implementing guided inquiry-based learning. This research is a correlational study using regression correlation through the SPSS program. The results of this study indicate no correlation between self-directed learning and students' life skills. Guided inquiry remains a reference in efforts to empower self-directed learning and life skills.

Abstract

The Task-Based Learning (TBL) instructional model refers to an approach that emphasizes the presentation of structured tasks progressively, aiming to train students' problem-solving skills from simple to more complex problems. This study applied a quantitative approach using descriptive methods and an ex post facto research design. The research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of implementing the TBL learning model in enhancing students' understanding of concepts and statistical analysis skills. Participants in this study were students taking Statistics in the third semester of the Biology Education program at the State Islamic University of Mataram during the 2022/2023 academic year. The research instruments included a statistical data concept test and statistical analysis practice. Data analysis was conducted descriptively by comparing the mean scores of students' conceptual tests and analysis practices over 11 meetings. The research findings indicate that students' understanding of statistical concepts fluctuates in line with the complexity of the assigned tasks. Additionally, students' statistical analysis skills vary with the difficulty level of the tasks, but a positive trend in students' performance improvement is observed over time.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar peserta didik dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning berbantuan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik Elektronik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan sebanyak 2 siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah 29 peserta didik kelas XI IPA 6 SMAN 1 Kota Bengkulu tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Data aktivitas peserta didik dikumpulkan melalui lembar observasi aktivitas peserta didik dan data hasil belajar dikumpulkan melalui lembar observasi proyek dan posttest. Data selanjutnya dianalisis melalui statistik deskriptif berupa persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa  persentase aktivitas peserta didik meningkat dari 59% pada siklus I menjadi 86% pada siklus II. Sedangkan, persentase ketuntasan klasikal hasil belajar meningkat dari 59% pada siklus I menjadi 90% pada siklus II. Hasil tersebut, menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model PjBL berbantuan E-LKPD dapat meningkatkan aktivitas peserta didik pada pembelajaran dan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XI IPA 6 SMAN 1 Kota Bengkulu.

Abstract

Penelitian yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi sistem koloid dengan mengimplementasikan model Problem Based Learning. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang melibatkan 29 peserta didik kelas XI IPA 4 SMA Negeri 1 Kota Bengkulu tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama dua siklus, yang tiap siklusnya dilaksanakan selama dua pertemuan pembelajaran dan terdiri dari tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif berupa persentase untuk mengetahui aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) ada peningkatan aktivitas belajar siswa dari siklus I ke siklus II dari 60,17% menjadi 73,27%; dan (2) implementasi PBL dapat meningkatkan persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa dari siklus I sebesar 65,51% menajdi 82,75% pada siklus II.

Abstract

This research aims to develop and describe the feasibility of Augmented Reality-based learning media as a medium for virus material for 10th grade science students. This research is a development study that adopts the 4D Thiagarajan model which includes Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate. The subjects of this study were 42 10th grade science students. The object of this study is biology learning media based on Augmented Reality which was validated by 3 validators. The results of material expert validation showed that the learning media scored 84% and was categorized as Very Feasible, while the media assessment by media experts scored 78% and was categorized as Feasible. In addition, the study field teacher’s assessment of the learning media scored 84% and was categorized as Very Feasible, while the student questionnaire results scored 95% with the category of Very Feasible. The results of this study indicate that Augmented Reality-based learning media is Very Feasible to be used to support the learning process.
