Abstract

This research is a pure experimental research using a 2×2 factorial design which aims to: (1) describesignificant differences in physics learning outcomes between students who are given interactivepresentation media and conventional media, (2) analyze significant differences in physics learningoutcomes between participants students who are given interactive presentation media andconventional media, for students who have high learning motivation, (3) analyze differences in physicslearning outcomes of students who are given interactive presentation media and conventional media,for students who have low learning motivation, (4) analyze the effect of the interaction betweeninteractive presentation media and learning motivation on students' physics learning outcomes. Thisresearch was carried out at Gamaliel Makassar Christian High School with the stages of observation,preparation of research tools and instruments, content and empirical validation, provision ofmotivational questionnaires, application of learning media to experimental and control classes,administration of final tests which were then analyzed to test hypotheses. The results of the hypothesistest showed (1) overall, there were differences in the physics learning outcomes of students who weregiven interactive presentation media with conventional media, (2) for students who had highmotivation to learn physics, there were significant differences in physics learning outcomes betweenstudents who given interactive presentation media with conventional media, (3) for students who havelow motivation to learn physics, there is a significant difference in physics learning outcomes betweenstudents who are given interactive presentation media with conventional media, (4) there is nointeraction between learning media and motivation to learn about physics learning outcomes ofstudents.

Abstract

Guidance and Counseling (BK) as part of the school plays an important role in dealing with problems or violations committed by students so that an effective data storage is needed. Problems discoveredrelated to BK data processing at SMKN 2 (public vocational high school) Makassar is a process thatis still done manually, so it can potentially lose data due to scattered and also difficulties in findingstudent’s case data. The existence of a web-based guidance and counseling information system canassist teachers in processing and storing student’s case data, as well as easy access for parties whoneed student’s case data and information, such as the students’ parents. The development of this systemuses the prototype model with 4 main stages, namely: (1) needs analysis, (2) prototype design andmanufacture, (3) prototype evaluation, and (4) final product. The expert validation test was conductedby 2 lecturers to examine the validity of the software/program aspect and obtained an average of 4.9which met the valid criteria. The next test was on the practical and effective aspects which wasconducted by involving 30 respondents and the average practical aspect was 96% and the averageeffective aspect was 95%; thus, it was categorized as very practical and effective.

Abstract

The government's policy "stay at home" is implemented to prevent and cope with Covid-19 in Indonesia, so it affects the increase of public electricity bills due to changes in lifestyles that spendmore time at home. The IoT with an electricity-saving device, it can controling electricity load useand will greatly help the community, especially in pandemic conditions as is the case now. Thedevelopment model used in this research is the waterfall development model. There are 5 stages thatare passed in this development, namely analysis, design, development, testing, and safety. The expertvalidation test was conducted by 2 lecturers to determine the reliability of the product that had beenmade and obtained a very reliable interpretation. Field trials in this study were conducted in severalcommunity homes that installed IoT with electricity-saving devices in Makassar city with 5respondents. This test was conducted to determine the quality of the product from the usability aspectand the average score of SUS (System Usability Scale) is 80. An IoT with an electricity-saving devicecan provide user convenience in controlling the use of lights and fans in one hand, and can save theelectrical power at home, in this case electronic items that have an inductive load because of thepresence of a capacitor as a capacitive load that prevents changes in the value of the electric voltage.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a school administration information system using the HumanComputer Interaction (HCI) model and whether the information system developed meets thevalid, practical, and efficient criteria. Data were collected by using observation, documentation,and questionnaires. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D). The dataanalysis technique used is descriptive analysis. The results of the study indicate that themeasurement of the validity of each statement item has an r-count value greater than 0.361, themeasurement of the reliability of the measurement instrument for the implementation of theHuman Computer Interaction model in the school administration information system isacceptable and has a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.937. The measurement of the averagesoftware/program aspect for all indicators, which is 97%, is in very valid category. The averagedisplay aspect measurement for all indicators, which is 99%, is in very valid category. Theusability measurement from Human Computer Interaction (HCI) meets Jacob Nielson's 5criteria, namely learnability criteria 66.66% of respondents answered very easy to learn,63.66% of respondents answered memorability criteria very easy to remember, efficiencycriteria 93.33% of respondents answered efficient, error criteria 73.33% of respondentsanswered goo in handling errors, and satisfaction criteria 86.66% of respondents answeredsatisfied. The results of practicality analysis of the school administration information systemobtained an average of 4.52 and a percentage of 90.5 that the school administration informationsystem has met the requirements for the practicality of the information system. The evaluationresults of the effectiveness of the school administration information system show that theaverage overall indicator is 4.56 and obtaining a percentage of 91.28%, which indicates thatthe school administration information system meets the effectiveness of the informationsystem.

Abstract

The study aims at analyzing the influence of learning process, the lecturer’s competence, and students’ activities on learning effectiveness. The research population was the students of Informatics and Computer Engineering Education Study Program at the State University of Makassar of batch 2019 and 2020 with 83 samples. The analytical methods used were descriptive analysis, inferential analysis with normality, linearity, multicolinearity, and autocorrelation as well as the hypothesis testing of multiple linear reegression. Data collections were obtained by employing observation, questionnaire, and documentation. Based on the result of hypothesis testing with regression analysis, the first hypothesis of the study surmised that the learning process gives significant influence on the learning effectiveness and it is attested. Then, the second and third hypotheses of the study surmised that the lecturer’s competence and the students’ activities give influence on the learning effectiveness and it is attested.

Abstract

This study aims to examine (a) the increase of students' learning motivation after applying the Project Based Learning model in the Basic Programming Subject at SMKN (public vocational high school) 2 Gowa, (b) the increase of students' conceptual understanding skills after applying the Project Based Learning Model in Basic Programming Subject at SMKN 2 Gowa, (c) whether the students' learning motivation in applying the Project Based Learning model is more effective than students' motivation in applying conventional learning model, and (d) whether the students' conceptual understanding skills in applying Project Based Learning model are more effective than the students’ conceptual understanding skills in applying conventional learning model in Basic Programming Subject at SMKN Negeri 2 Gowa. The type of research used is experimental research. The experimental design used is the Nonequivalent Control Group Design in the form of PretestPosttest Design with a sample of 68 students. Data collecting employed questionnaire and test of conceptual understanding skills. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The results of the study are reveal that (a) there is an increase in students' learning motivation after applying the Project Based Learning model in Basic Programming Subject at SMKN Negeri 2 Gowa, (b) there is an increase in students' conceptual understanding skills after applying the Project Based Learning model in Basic Programming Subject at SMKN 2 Gowa, (c) the students’ learning motivation in applying the Project Based Learning model is more effective than students’ learning motivation in applying conventional learning model in Basic Programming Subject at SMKN 2 Gowa, and (d) the students' conceptual understanding skills in applying Project Based Learning model is more effective than the students' conceptual understanding skills in the applying conventional learning model in Basic Programming Subject at SMKN 2 Gowa. Based on the aforementioned results, it can be concluded that the application of the Project Based Learning model is effective and can increase students' motivation and conceptual understanding skills in Basic Programming subject at SMKN 2 Gowa.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) knowing the blended problem based learning model based on Moodle LMS which is effective in increasing student motivation, and (2) knowing the differences in learning motivation who take part in the study blended problem based learning model based on Moodle LMS with students following the blended learning model. The research design used is quasi-experimental. The population in this study was the second semester students of the class of 2021 who studied introductory accounting courses in the accounting department with a total of 140 people. The sample of this research is class A as many as 34 people as the experimental class and class D as many as 33 people as the control class. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique. The results showed that: (1) The implementation of the blended problem based learning model based on the Moodle LMS was effective on the learning motivation of the students of the Accounting Department, the Faculty of Economics and Islamic Business, Alauddin Islamic State University (2) The results of the inferential analysis using the paired simple t test show that the t-count value is greater than the t table with a sig value less than 0.05, which means that the implementation of the blended problem-based model Moodle-based LMS learning effectively increases student motivation and (3) The results of the inferential analysis with the independent simple t test show that the t-count value is greater than the t-table with a sig value less than 0.05 which means that learning motivation of experimental class students has a significant difference with learning motivation of control class students.

Abstract

This study aims to examine: (1) the level of professional competence of teachers at SMKN (public vocational high Schools) in Tana Toraja Regency, (2) the level of learning management of teachers at SMKN in Tana Toraja Regency, (3) the level of professional development of teachers at SMKN in Tana Toraja Regency, (4) the influence of learning management on professional competence of teachers at SMKN in Tana Toraja Regency, (5) the influence of professional development on professional competence of teachers at SMKN in Tana Toraja Regency and (6) The influence of learning management, professional development collectively on professional competence of teachers at SMKN in Tana Toraja Regency. The data collection tecnhique employed a questionnaire sheet. The data analysis technique used was quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of the study reveal that the level of professional competence of teachers at SMKN in Tana Toraja Regency reaches 95.05%. The level of learning management of teachers at SMKN in Tana Toraja Regency reaches 94.95%. There is an influence of learning management on professional competence of teachers at SMKN in Tana Toraja Regency by 68.5%. There is an influence of professional development on professional competence of teachers at SMKN in Tana Toraja Regency by 64.1%. There is a significant influence of learning management and professional development collectively on professional competence of teachers at SMKN in Tana Toraja Regency by 77.2%. The recommendations to teachers at SMKN in Tana Toraja is they should improve their professional competence, especially in the use of learning media and to update knowledge and skills according to technological developments.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the implementation of Creative Problem Solving learning model is better than direct learning model on students’ creative thinking skills in Basic Programming subject in SMKN 1 Soppeng. This research type was experimental research. The nonequivalent control group design was used as experimental design with the samples of 60 students. The data were collected through creative thinking skill test and questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The results obtained in this study indicate that the students’ creative thinking skills are better in the implementation of Creative Problem Solving learning model than the direct learning model in Basic Programming subject in SMKN 1 Soppeng. Based on the aforementioned results, it can be concluded that there are differences in student’s creative thinking skills in the implementation of Creative Problem Solving learning model and the implementation of direct learing model in Basic Programming subject in SMKN 1 Soppeng.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) Perceived ease of use; (2) Facilitating Conditions; and (3) Perceived Usefulness in State University of Makassar Information System. Mixed method approach used in this study. The population in this study were student of the Class of 2019 at State University of Makassar. The sample of this study amounted to 387 students spread across 9 faculties where the sampling technique used simple random sampling. Research data were collected using questionnaires and interviews. Data obtained from this study were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The result of this study indicate: (1) perceived ease of use is good category, (2) Facilitating Conditions is good category, and (3) Perceived Usefulness is good category. So that overall the UNM Academic Information System is good and only requires some training to users for the use of the features in the UNM Academic Information System.
