Nidhomiya: Research Journal of Islamic Philanthropy and Disaster, published by the Department of Zakat and Waqf Management, Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business, IAIN Ponorogo. The journal covers the study of scientific works by students or collaborations between students and lecturers in zakat and waqf management, Islamic philanthropy, disaster management, and related topics. Nidhomiya is published twice a year in June and December. Manuscripts submitted are selected by the editorial board and evaluated by peer reviewers. The publication process is conducted through the peer-review process according to scientific publication standards.

Abstract

The study aims to analyze an empowerment community project carried out as a productive zakat program conducted in Semenok Hamlet, Ngebel Village, Ponorogo Regency. The main program is about native chicken farming for the villagers. This study is using a qualitative approach. Primary data was collected from the program’s beneficiaries through interviews and secondary data was sourced from books, electronic media, or scientific journals relevant to productive zakat implementation. This program is specifically focused on one of the eight asnaf categories, that is, the poor community in that hamlet. The program was carried out by distributing 3 native chickens along with their feed to 17 beneficiaries of the program (zakat recipients). This zakat is expected to be their initial capital in hopes the poor could be more prosperous. This program hopefully could provide financial assistance for the beneficiaries so they could transform into a muzakki in the future. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis optimalisasi program pemberdayaan zakat produktif untuk peternakan ayam kampung di Dusun Semenok, Desa Ngebel, Kabupaten Ponorogo. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah hasil wawancara kepada mustahik penerima zakat dan literatur ilmiah yang membahas tentang pemberdayaan masyarakat, baik berupa buku, media elektronik, maupun jurnal yang relevan. Program pemberdayaan zakat produktif ini disalurkan kepada salah satu dari golongan 8 asnaf, yaitu masyarakat miskin. Program dilaksanakan dalam bentuk pemberian ayam kampung sebanyak 3 ekor beserta pakan ayam. Bantuan tersebut diharapkan dapat menjadi modal awal masyarakat penerima bantuan sehingga para mustahik dapat berkembang menjadi lebih sejahtera. Mustahik penerima bantuan ini berjumlah 17 orang. Dengan adannya program ini, diharapkan mustahik dapat terbantu dari segi ekonomi sehingga kelak dapat bertransformasi menjadi muzakki.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the implementation of digital marketing technology in branding attempts and its impact on brand image. This article is a literature review research with a qualitative approach. The data used is secondary data collected from academic literature indexed in Google Scholar. The results of the study indicate that the integration of digital marketing technology with branding strategies can effectively increase brand visibility, expand audience reach, and strengthen consumer relationships. However, some challenges in the implementation of digital marketing technology were also found, including consumer data security and rapid changes in trends and algorithms. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi penerapan teknologi pemasaran digital dalam upaya branding serta dampaknya terhadap citra merek. Jenis penelitian ini adalah studi pustaka dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian adalah data sekunder berupa literatur ilmiah terindeks Google Scholars. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi teknologi pemasaran digital dengan strategi branding secara efektif dapat meningkatkan visibilitas merek, memperluas jangkauan audien, dan memperkuat hubungan dengan konsumen. Namun, ditemukan juga beberapa tantangan dalam penerapan teknologi pemasaran digital, termasuk keamanan data konsumen dan perubahan cepat dalam tren dan algoritma.

Abstract

The study aims to explore the management of a productive zakat program to empower mustahiq in Jenangan District, Ponorogo Regency carried out using the ABCD method. The research data is collected through interviews with zakat managers, mustahiq, and stakeholders. Data analysis used is a qualitative method to examine the performance of the management of the productive zakat program and its impact on mustahiq. The results show that the management of productive zakat can provide significant benefits in improving the well-being of mustahiq through various economic empowerment programs. Nevertheless, the challenges related to management, monitoring, and evaluation remained an important focus in ensuring the effectiveness and sustainability of the program. The implications of this research provide valuable insights for the zakat management institutions and other stakeholders in refining the effectiveness of the mustahiq empowerment program through the management of productive zakat. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pengelolaan dana zakat produktif dalam upaya pemberdayaan mustahiq di Kecamatan Jenangan, Kabupaten Ponorogo. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan ABCD. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dengan pengelola zakat, mustahiq, dan pemangku kepentingan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif untuk memahami praktik pengelolaan dana zakat produktif dan dampaknya terhadap pemberdayaan mustahiq. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan dana zakat produktif dapat memberikan manfaat yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan mustahiq melalui berbagai program pemberdayaan ekonomi. Namun, tantangan terkait manajemen, pengawasan, dan evaluasi tetap menjadi fokus penting dalam memastikan efektivitas dan keberlanjutan program zakat produktif. Implikasi dari penelitian ini memberikan wawasan yang berharga bagi lembaga pengelola zakat dan pemangku kepentingan lainnya dalam meningkatkan efektivitas program pemberdayaan mustahiq melalui pengelolaan dana zakat produktif.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the application of the Malcolm Baldrige Framework in improving business management performance among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Ciamis Regency. The Baldrige Framework is a comprehensive model encompassing seven performance criteria: leadership, strategic planning, customer focus, measurement, analysis, and knowledge management, workforce focus, and performance results. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document studies on several MSMEs in Ciamis Regency that have implemented the Baldrige Framework. Data analysis techniques used the Miles and Huberman model, which consists of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research results indicate that the application of the Baldrige Framework in MSMEs in Ciamis Regency has had a positive impact on business management performance, as evidenced by achieving the title of Emerging Industry Leader with an Average level. This study concludes that the Baldrige Framework can be an effective model for enhancing business management performance among MSMEs. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penerapan Kerangka Malcolm Baldrige dalam meningkatkan kinerja manajemen bisnis pada pelaku Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) di Kabupaten Ciamis. Kerangka Baldrige merupakan model komprehensif yang mencakup tujuh kriteria kinerja, yaitu kepemimpinan, perencanaan strategis, fokus pelanggan, pengukuran, analisis, dan manajemen pengetahuan, fokus tenaga kerja, serta hasil-hasil kinerja. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi pada beberapa UMKM di Kabupaten Ciamis yang telah menerapkan Kerangka Baldrige. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model Miles and Huberman, yang terdiri dari reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan Kerangka Baldrige pada UMKM di Kabupaten Ciamis telah memberikan dampak positif terhadap kinerja manajemen bisnis, hal tersebut berdasarkan hasil memperoleh predikat Emerging Industry Leader dengan level Average. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa Kerangka Baldrige dapat menjadi model yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kinerja manajemen bisnis pada pelaku UMKM.

Abstract

This article analyzes the management of zakat, infaq, and alms from an economic perspective explained by M. Umer Chapra. Chapra is a leading Islamic economist who has made significant contributions to understanding the principles of Islamic economics and their implementation in Muslim financial practices. This study explores the concept of managing zakat, infaq, and alms as economic instruments that can potentially strengthen the Muslim economy. The main focus of this journal is to analyze the principles proposed by M. Umer Chapra in managing these religious funds, as well as their impact on the economic empowerment of Muslim communities. Through a careful literature review, this research outlines Chapra's views on how zakat, infaq, and alms can be integrated into the Islamic economic system to achieve the goals of sustainable and inclusive economic development. This journal also discusses best practices in managing zakat, infaq, and alms following the economic principles recommended by Chapra. It is hoped that the results of this research will provide deeper insight into the management of zakat, infaq, and alms from an economic perspective, as well as positively contribute to developing a more effective and efficient model for managing religious funds. Policy implications and suggestions for further development are also discussed in this journal, providing a basis for stakeholders, academics, and practitioners to improve the implementation of Islamic economic principles in the management of zakat, infaq, and alms. Artikel ini menganalisis pengelolaan zakat, infaq, dan sedekah dari perspektif ekonomi yang dijelaskan oleh M. Umer Chapra. Chapra merupakan seorang ekonom Islam terkemuka yang telah memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam memahami prinsip-prinsip ekonomi Islam dan implementasinya dalam praktik keuangan umat Muslim. Studi ini mengeksplorasi konsep pengelolaan zakat, infaq, dan sedekah sebagai instrumen ekonomi yang memiliki potensi untuk memperkuat perekonomian umat Muslim. Fokus utama artikel ini adalah menganalisis prinsip-prinsip yang diusulkan oleh M. Umer Chapra dalam mengelola dana keagamaan ini, serta dampaknya terhadap pemberdayaan ekonomi komunitas Muslim. Melalui tinjauan literatur yang cermat, penelitian ini menguraikan pandangan Chapra tentang bagaimana zakat, infaq, dan sedekah dapat diintegrasikan dalam sistem ekonomi Islam untuk mencapai tujuan pembangunan ekonomi yang berkelanjutan dan inklusif. Artikel ini juga membahas praktik-praktik terbaik dalam pengelolaan zakat, infaq, dan sedekah yang sesuai dengan prinsip-prinsip ekonomi yang dianjurkan oleh Chapra. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan yang lebih mendalam tentang pengelolaan zakat, infaq, dan sedekah dari perspektif ekonomi, serta memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap pengembangan model pengelolaan dana keagamaan yang lebih efektif dan efisien. Implikasi kebijakan dan saran-saran untuk pengembangan lebih lanjut juga dibahas dalam artikel ini, memberikan landasan bagi pemangku kepentingan, akademisi, dan praktisi untuk meningkatkan implementasi prinsip-prinsip ekonomi Islam dalam pengelolaan zakat, infaq, dan sedekah.

Abstract

This study examines the fundraising strategy implemented through the kencleng (donation box) program by the Lazismu Ponorogo Service Office. Although this program has been disseminated in various strategic locations such as homes, shops, and supermarkets, the funds collected have not yet reached their maximum potential. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through interviews with office heads, finance and administration staff, and fundraisers, as well as through observation and documentation. ZIS fund collection through coin boxes at Lazismu Ponorogo is carried out in three stages: strategy formulation, implementation in strategic locations, and routine evaluation. Human resources and technical constraints are overcome through volunteer recruitment and scheduling. This program has increased public trust and awareness, even though participation has declined. An inclusive and communicative approach is needed to maintain sustainability. The collection of ZIS funds through donation boxes at Lazismu Ponorogo has proven to be effective and well-structured. Despite facing challenges in terms of human resources and participation, the strategy implemented has been able to increase public trust and awareness in paying zakat.
