Abstract

The numeracy abilities of some students in class VIII SMP Plus Al Fatimah are still relatively low so special measures are needed, accompanied by ineffective teaching materials because there are too few material descriptions and the learning methods used are still conventional. So, it is necessary to develop teaching materials in the form of numeracy-based mathematics learning modules as a companion to the textbooks provided by the school. The research aims to develop a mathematics module on flat-sided geometric material that is valid and practical. The type of research used is Research and Development (R & D) with the ADDIE development method (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). The results of the development research obtained a numeration-based mathematics learning module on flat-sided geometric material with valid and practical categories. The learning module was declared valid by the validator, media experts scored 72.5% in the "valid" category and material experts scored 82.6% in the "very valid" category, the average score was 77.9% in the "valid" category. For the results of the student trials, the practical aspect obtained an average score of 83.195% in the "very practical" category. It can be concluded that the learning module that has been developed is suitable for use.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of the Simplex method in Linear Programming to optimize the production and sales of Es Kul-Kul. Es Kul-Kul is a cold drink product that is currently in great demand by the public, especially in summer. However, in the production process, there are often obstacles such as limited raw materials, production time, and labor capacity, which affect efficiency and profits. Therefore, a method is needed that can help determine the best combination of these factors so that maximum profits can be achieved. The Simplex method is used in this study as a mathematical tool to solve optimization problems. The objective function in this study is to maximize profits from the sale of Es Kul-Kul, taking into account various constraints, such as the amount of raw materials available, production time per unit, and daily labor capacity. The data used was obtained from the production and sales records of Es Kul-Kul during a certain period. The results show that the Simplex method can help identify optimal solutions in the allocation of limited resources. By implementing optimization results, Es Kul-Kul is able to increase production efficiency and obtain greater profits without the need to add new resources. This research provides practical benefits for small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in managing production and increasing profits in a measurable manner

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the influence of constructivist-based learning on mathematical abilities in mathematics education through a meta-analysis study. The research employed a meta-analysis method by reviewing several articles with experimental test types, resulting in 15 data points that met the criteria related to constructivist-based learning and its effects on mathematical abilities in mathematics education. The Effect Size and Standard Error values were manually calculated using Microsoft Excel, and the data were analyzed using JASP software. The analysis results indicated that the 15 studies analyzed showed heterogeneity (Q=40.607, p<0.001). The Random Effect model analysis resulted in a significant outcome (z=9.023, p<0.001, 95% CI), indicating that the impact of constructivist-based learning on mathematical abilities in mathematics education falls under the high category. To address potential publication bias, the Fail-safe N value was computed using the Rosenthal formula. Since K (number of analyzed studies) was 15, the obtained Fail-safe N value was 1397 with a significance level target of 0.05 and p<0.001. As the Fail-safe N value exceeds the Fail-safe NSK value (where the criterion is Fail-safe N + 10), it can be concluded that there is no publication bias issue in this meta-analysis study.
