Abstract

ABSTRACT As the aging process running, the ability of elderly sexuality generally will decrease, so it is necessary to review of sexual problems of the elderly. In fact, not all of the elderly can experience a harmonious sexual life, there are many factors that influence sexual intercourse in the elderly . Type of the research is descriptive using a method of applying explanatory factor analysis recearch where entire 1200 people elderly population aged over 60 years old in the Work Land Area of Community Health Center in North Aceh district. While the sample used in this study amounted to 105 elderly. Based on the result of research, there are 9 (nine) variables that influence sexual intercourse in the elderly (education, age, knowledge, disease, taboos, culture, attractiveness, anxiety, and boredom) when analyzed formed two (2) factors that influence sexual intercourse advanced age is factor 1 (first) is composed of variable knowledge, disease, age, culture and education, called the characteristic factor. And  factor 2 (second) consists of variable attractiveness, taboo, anxiety and boredom called psychological factors. Based on the results of the research can be suggested to improve the knowledge of the elderly, by spreading out information about sexuality and reproductive health characteristics based on the factors and psychological factors so that made positive attitude towards sexuality in order to maintain harmony in family . Abstract

Stroke is a circulatory disorders in the brain that cause physical disability greatest of all degenerative diseases. Stroke is divided into two by pathological is ischemic stroke and haemoragic.To know the characteristics of stroke ischemic patients with infark conducted a Research with case series design in RSUP. Haji Adam Malik Medan. Population and sampel was 117 people in 2012 were recorded in hospital medical records. Univariate data were analyzed descriptively while bivariate data were analyzed using Chi-square test, Mann-whitney and Kruskal wallis. Based on the sociodemographic in highest proportion is age group 45-65 years 65,8%, males 57,3%,Moeslem 60,7%, married 97,4%, Senior high school 44,4%, Housewife 38,5%, dan outside the city of Medan 66,7%. Proportion based on the highest treatment status, weak arm and left leg 38,5%, hypertension 38,5%, basal ganglia 39,3%, hemiparesis sinistra 48,7%, not source 94,9%, Askes 52,9%, the average length ofstay 6,57 or 7 days, outpatient expense control 55,6%. There was a significant difference between infark location with location of the paralysis (p=0,000), and the average treatmenttime with condition while returning (p=0,000).Patient who have a history of hypertension to perform the routine control and Health lifestyle. For the medical records department of RSUP. Haji Adam Malik Medan to complete patient data recording such as ethnic.

Abstract

AbstractThe diseases is not contagious is the leading cause of death globally. Hypertension became a public health problem if not controlled will evolve and give rice to complication harmfull. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) report, hypertension was the cause of death in the world the number 1. Data RSUP Pirngadi Medan, the number cases of hypertension in 1999 as many as 122 cases with proportion 0,8% and 2000 in creased to 215 cacses with proportion of 1,5%. To know the characteristics of people with hypertension with complication the admitted in Tanjung Balai Karimun Puskesmas in 2010-2012, has been doing research is a descriptive case series continued with statistical analysis. The sample numbered 107 data hypertension with complication which admitted.From the data recorded the largest proportion of sufferers results obtained on age >60 years (60,7%), and sex women (56,1%), the malays (43%), Islamic (67,3%), no school (28%), the house wives (43,9%), merried (91,6%), at West Sei Lakam (19,6%), teightness (44,9%), deggre 2 (72,0%), heart diseases (75,7%), long treatments on average 2,97 days, common (56,1), PBJ (54,2%).There is a difference between long which means the average treatments based on the complications of hypertension. (p=0,000). Parties puskesmas can provide counseling to the family of patien to be more quickly responsiveness to complaints and such symptoms the occurrence of a complication early in order to minimize the occurrence of complication heavier and monitor patiens in consuming to a drugs with true to his blood preassure stables and willing to be refreanced when at puskesmas can’t be addressed. Expected in the clinics in order to supplement the data relating to patients, especially patiens with hypertension complication to health workers to provides counseling to the patient, family and community about healthy living patterns.Keyword : Hypertension, characteristic of patiens, Puskesmas Tanjung Balai Karimun

Abstract

ABSTRACT‘Cempedak’ and durian seeds flour are the kind of seeds that are less utilized as a product of the food industry. ‘Cempedak’ and durian seeds flour can be processed into various food product which can give contribute nutrient for schoolchildren. One of the product is fish meatball. This study aims to determine organoleptic and nutritional of modified fish meatball with ‘cempedak’ and durian seed’s flour.This experimental design was completely randomized design with of two factors are ‘cempedak’ and durian seeds flour with composition of 35%:5%, 30%:10% and 25%:15%. Organoleptic test of modified fish meatball was given to thirthy panelist of students of state elementary school 064985 grade VI and then, nutrient analyzed was tested in laboratory of industrial research and standarization Agency Medan. Analyzed was done descriptively.The results showed that organoleptic test of modified fish meatball with ‘cempedak’and durian seeds flour was generally preferred. Of the third fates ,it turns out fish meatball modified comparison 30%: 10% get the highest point and contain protein for the highest.In making fish meatball, it was recommended if the comparison between ‘cempedak’ and durian seeds flour are 30% and 10%. It is need to give information and socialization about ‘cempedak’and durian seeds flour and durian so that can be made, received and used to be additional food of students.Keyword: fish meatball. cempedak seeds flour, durian seeds flour, organoleptic test, elemantary school.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) including HIV and AIDS infection is mostly transmitted through sexual intercourse both with couples who have already contracted the disease as well as who often alternated between a couple. Commercial sex workers is one trigger the transmission of sexually transmitted diseases, especially HIV and AIDS. This research aims to know the relationship between knowledge and attitude of commercial sex workers with ability to convince customers to use condom in district Doloksanggul 2013. This type of research is a survey of analytical by using the cross-sectional design, the population in the study were all is in 3 localization of commercial sex workers in Doloksanggul Subdistrict, namely amounting to 63 people and used as the total sampling. The data obtained by interview using a questionnaire and analyzed by chi-square test.. From the results of chi-square test (α<0.05), indicating there is a significant relationship between the knowledge with the ability to convince customers to use condoms (p = 0.002). And shows there is a significant relationship between attitude with ability to convince customers to use condoms (p = 0.032). The commercial sex workers is expected to be more able to provide protection to himself by improving the ability to convince customers to use condom. And to the local goverment to better reproduce the division of condom to the commercial sex workers. Keywords : Knowledge, Attitude, Condoms, Commercial Sex Workers

Abstract

Complementary Feeding is given to infant while it is 6 months old to fulfill as nutrition, especially micro nutrient like minerals. Nowadays, mineral content of local complementary feeding have not know yet, and one of local complementary feeding that is treated became banana  flour with additional rice flour as a base for complementary feeding. This research aims to know the mineral content of mixed awak banana and rice flour and its contribution to infant Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA). This research is descriptive study conducted in the laboratory which based on chemical analytic to mineral content in mixed of awak banana and rice flour. Analyzed the content of iron and zinc by Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry method (AAS), the content of potassium, natrium, and selenium by Inductively Couple Plasma method (ICP), the content of phosphor by spectrophotometry method, the content of calcium by titration method and iodide content by HPLC method performed in the laboratory of PT. Sarawanti Indo Genetech Bogor. The results of the research suggested that mixed of awak banana and rice flour contain macro mineral by calcium, potassium, natrium and phosphor for 14,70 mg, 396,40 mg, 8,58 mg and 100,7 mg respectively. Whereas the content of micro mineral in mixed of awak banana flour and rice flour contain the iron, zinc, iodide and selenium for 3,43 mg, 8,08 mg, 42,74 ug and 0,30 ug respectively. Both macro mineral and micro mineral, except zinc and potassium in mixed of awak banana and rice flour has not fulfill the standart of complementary feeding appropriate 224/Menkes/SK/II/2007 aged 7-12 months according the Widyakarya Nasional Pangan dan Gizi 2004. Abstract

Protein quality is an important requirement in the manufacture of complementary feeding. Standard of complementary feeding quality was >70% casein quality. This experimental research aims to analyze the protein quality of mixed rice-banana ‘Awak’ ripe flour (Musa paradisiaca var. Awak) varied with African catfish (Clarias gariepinus) and soybean sprouts flour (Glycine max L.Merrill). This research used a Completely Randomized Design with three treatments were: whey protein powder, banana ‘Awak’ ripe flour mixed african catfish and soybean sprouts flour (TPLK) and mixed of  banana ‘Awak’ ripe flour and african catfish (TPL). Protein quality was calculating the value of Protein Efficiency Ratio (PER), Biological Value (BV) and Net Protein Utilization (NPU) of 18 male mices, 23 days old. This research was conducted in the Laboratory of Food Nutrition of Public Health Faculty, University of North Sumatera during October to December 2013. Further, analysis of feces and urine’s nitrogen of mice in Industry Standardization Research Center Medan (BARISTAND). Protein quality of TPLK and TPL from PER value were: 1.28 and 0.94. The results of analysis of variance (ANOVA) showed the PER value of TPLK and TPL doesn’t give a significantly different effect of the mice’s growth. The BV value were 17.33% and 14.47%, and the NPU value were 18.53%  and 16.22%. Based on PER, BV and NPU values showed that TPLK and TPL hasn’t met the standard of complementary feeding appropriate 224/Menkes/SK/II/2007. It’s suggested, making TPLK and TPL flour should be done at a time so reduce the drying process repeatedly that damage the nutritional content especially protein. Besides, need further research using rats to see the difference weight gain and PER value. Keywords: Protein quality, Banana “Awak”, African Catfish, Soybean Sprouts Flour.

Abstract

Food diversification instead is necessary to be done in order that food endurance can be guaranteed. It is expected to improve food quality because by more variety consumption, community nutrition will also be more complete than only one variety of food. White bread are usually made using wheat flour is imported foodstuffs, can be modified by making use of local foods such as corn flour. White bread are modified with corn flour and spotato are also potentially contribute nutrients such as protein, fat, calcium, phosphorus, iron, vitamin B1, and vitamin C This was an experimental study on making white bread by adding corn flur and potato in different proportion of wheat flour, corn flour, and potato (5:2:3, 5:2,5:2,5, and 5:1:4). This study was aimed to determine the acceptability which comprised the color, flavor, taste, and texture which were tested by hedonic test and its nutrient composition. The result of this research showed that by organoleptic test of color, flavor, and taste, white bread with the addition of corn flour and potato which made with 5:1:4 proportion was the most favored by the panelists. The addition of corn flour and potato on bread making increased the content of calcium, phosphorus, iron, vitamin B1, and vitamin C than ordinary white bread. Consumption of two pieces of A3 white bread with addition corn flour and potato contributes 14,86% adequacy of energy in 10-12 years old children. It is suggested for consumer to make white bread with addition of corn flour and potato as an alternative health food. In addition, it is necessary to do other foods diversification by added corn flour and potato as a food which rich in nutrient content. Abstract

ABSTRACT The fullfillment of reproductive rights in family planning among women of reproductive age couples includes the fullfillment of the rights in the number of children, birth interval, and the selection of contraceptive. Indonesian population census in 2010 and the Indonesian Demography Health Survey (IDHS) preliminary report in 2012 indicated the existence of gaps in this fullfillment. This study aimed to analyze the factors influenced the fullfillment of reproductive rights in family planning among women of reproductive age couples who worked at Materna general hospitals in 2013. The design of the study was cross sectional study. The population of this study were the women of reproductive age couples and samples consisted of 61 people. The results showed that only 28(45.9%) respondents were fullfilled their reproductive rights in family planning. There were relationship between knowledge (p = 0.030), attitude (p = 0.0001), income level (p = 0.023), husband's support (p = 0.013), social support (p = 0.001) with the fullfillment of reproductive rights in family planning except status of women in the family (p = 0.274). Simultaneously variables that significantly influenced on the fullfillment of women's reproductive rights in family planning were the attitude (p = 0.017) and social support (p = 0.029). It is expected that the women of reproductive age couples worked at the Materna general hospital should be more increase the concern and the responsibility along with her husband and family in order to implement the reproductive function.Key word : Reproductive Rights in Family Planning, Women of Reproductive Age Couples, Materna

Abstract

The elderly need attention and support from family for adaptation on any changes and deterioration that happened in the aging process because family is the main support system for those elderly. The role of family is needed for those elderly in order to fulfill their nutrition intake. In order to fulfill elderly nutrition intake, family shall provide it and prepare food. This kind of study that used descriptive method with cross sectional design, that purpose to know the family’s behavior in providing food to the elderly and to know sufficiently nutrition level of elderly in Desa Aek Nabara Tonga Kecamatan Aek Nabara Barumun Kabupaten Padang Lawas. The primary data for this study were obtained by distributing questionnaires family characteristic, knowledge, behavior, food and nutrition intake preparation. The secondary data were obtained from general description of the Desa Aek Nabara Tonga. The result of this study showed that family knowledge level in supplying food for those elderly mostly categorized in moderate rate noted 86,8%, in supply food for the elderly is categorized shortage noted 73,9% and 26,1% is moderate. The family’s behavior in supplying the food mostly is categorized moderate note about 73,6%, but in supplying the food of the elderly shortage note 82,1% and 17,9% is categorized moderate in supplying the foods. In supplying food for the elderly most in shortage category noted 64,2%. The rate of sufficientcy nutrition mostly on defecient such as energy noted 52,8% . The rate of sufficiently to dissolve vitamin in fat mostly on moderate such as category vitamin A (88,7%), moderate vitamin D (83%). The rate of sufficiently to dissolve vitamin in water such as most in moderate C (90,6%). The sufficient rate of mineral mostly is categorized moderate calcium (50,9%), and most in shortage (49,1%). It is suggested to elderly family their consumption harvest such as vegetables and fruits shuld be priority for family’s requirement. Keywords : Family behavior, sufficient in nutrition, elderly.
