Abstract

Epistemology is one of the category of philosophy that explores the nature and origin of knowledge. The nuances of epistemological thought are influenced by the thinkers' backgrounds and the sources of their philosophical perspectives. One of the figure in Islamic Philosophy is Mehdi Ha’iri Yazdi. Mehdi, an Iranian philosopher from a Shia family, hails from a lineage of revered religious figures. Influenced by the illuminative thought and preceding Islamic philosophers such as Al Farabi, Ibn Sina, and Al Ghazali, Mehdi is renowned for his epistemological concept known as Ilmu Hudhuri, which translates to knowledge by presence. His reflections on knowledge by presence delve into the intersection of illuminative philosophy and the Islamic philosophical tradition. In his book "The Principles of Epistemology in Islamic Philosophy: Knowledge by Presence," Mehdi also addresses another form of knowledge, namely knowledge by correspondence. Employing qualitative research methods and literature review, this article aims to explore the relationship between these two forms of knowledge (knowledge by presence and knowledge by correspondence) and the extent to which illuminative relations play a role in their dynamics.

Abstract

In carrying out educational activities, it is necessary to have several supports, including curriculum, media, methods, facilities and infrastructure, and monitoring. As for this article, the main highlight is the development of a multicultural-based curriculum in learning Islamic religious education (PAI) in Indonesia. The multicultural approach is very important and crucial in the midst of the diversity of Indonesian society from Sabang to Merauke, so it is suitable if the approach is also applied to the field of education. The purpose of the study of this article is to find out what is meant by multicultural curriculum, the stages in implementing multicultural curriculum, multicultural curriculum in PAI learning in Indonesia, and the challenges of implementing multicultural curriculum. The research design uses a qualitative approach with the specification of the method, namely research reports, data analysis techniques using descriptive analytics, and primary data collection through books, journals, proceedings, papers, and reports while secondary data is taken from valid internet sources as well as documentation. The results revealed that multicultural curriculum development in PAI learning is implemented through programs, curriculum, administrative documents, syllabus, rpp, methods, and evaluation. The development of a multicultural curriculum has also been able to form tolerant learners, honing their skills in solving problems mainly related to the existing cultural diversity. In the future, it is hoped that the multicultural curriculum will be maximized as a solution in the midst of the diversity of Indonesian society, especially in PAI learning.

Abstract

Religious moderation has principles that need to be implemented in educational institutions such as schools through Islamic religious education learning, this is because there is still an attitude of intolerance in educational institutions that continues to be suppressed by the implementation of religious moderation. this research uses qualitative methods and includes library studies. The results found in this study that the implementation of religious moderation through Islamic religious education is important to eliminate intolerant attitudes with the step of the teacher's approach as an educator providing inclusive learning and providing an attitude of the importance of mutual respect despite different beliefs.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and evaluate the application of the Self Direct Learning model in improving the learning creativity of ninth grade fiqh students at MTs nurul falah jokarto. This research uses a qualitative-descriptive method. Data collection techniques using in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this study are: 1) The learning process of fiqh class IX subjects at Mts Nurul Falah Jokarto uses a varied Learning Model, one of which is the Self Direct Learning model. 2) The application of the Self Direct Learning model can increase the learning creativity of ninth grade fiqh students at Mts Nurul Falah Jokarto

Abstract

The increasing prevalence of chronic diseases and the rising lack of awareness about health promotion have sparked a renewed interest in promoting health promotion. The main objective of this study is to explore the civilizational role of the Muslim family on health promotion in northern Nigeria. This study employed a qualitative methodological approach using semi-structured interviews and focus group discussions. The participants were purposefully selected. In this study, a total of 15 participants were selected, which includes parents, Muslim healthcare workers, family counsellors, medical workers, and medical practitioners. The data was analysed using thematic analysis. Findings of the study revealed that Muslim families used strategies to foster health-promotion behaviours including health education awareness, family health counselling, health practices, religious teachings, and values that provide guidance. The findings further confirmed that healthy awareness creates an enabling environment in which healthy behaviours can be practiced, modelled, and encouraged. Finally, the findings unveiled that the social role of families has significant influence in promoting healthy behaviours, creating a healthy atmosphere that facilitates the prevention of disease, and health risks for effective human development. The study, therefore, recommended that health promotion initiatives should be designed, improved, and implemented by taking into consideration of the Islamic ethical values of health promotion to increase their usefulness for a healthy society for human development

Abstract

This paper intends to discuss the role of Islamic guidance and Counseling to moral Development of higher institutions students in Nigeria. Education is seen as a human right that should be endorsed, sustained and transmitted to the people by the society, education is to a nation what the mind is to the body, is a mechanism through which nation develops. Many agents are responsible for the education of people. Moral development can only said to be achieved if students minimize perpetration of social vices, and should respect others by the virtues of being fellow humans. Guidance and counseling in Islam which is regarded as a helping relationship is intended to acquaint everybody with the nature and functions of an effective Guidance program. The aim is to produce good greater tomorrow who have knowledge and morality. Moral development of our students of higher institutions in this country is very essential factor to consider; this is because in a situation where our greater tomorrow acquires knowledge without morality that knowledge will not serve the purpose it supposes to serve. For this, Islamic guidance and counseling most intervene to save the students and the society by extension.

Abstract

Dynamics is defined as changes, movements and interactions that occur in a particular system or context. Classroom dynamics and management are closely related and interrelated. Classroom management dynamics refers to the interactions and relationships that occur between teachers, students, and the learning environment. Understanding the dynamics of classroom management is the key to effective classroom management. The dynamics of classroom management involve strategies for maintaining student involvement, managing behavior, and creating a quality and effective learning environment for all students. Therefore, this research aims to examine the dynamics of classroom management in improving the quality of PAI learning. This research uses qualitative methods that are descriptive and analytical, a research technique that uses narrative or words to explain and describe the meaning of each phenomenon, symptom and particular social situation. Therefore, researchers need to master theory to analyze the gaps that occur between theoretical concepts and the facts that occur. The research results show that efficient classroom management is considered an absolute qualification in the teaching and learning process. There are several important components in classroom management, namely arranging the classroom, arranging classroom equipment, using learning media, and implementing classroom management approaches. Teachers have an important role in classroom management with psychological, cognitive, affective and psychomotor competencies. Implementation of classroom management must be carried out well to create a quality and effective learning atmosphere in PAI learningAbstact: Dynamics, Class Management, Quality of Islamic Religious Education LearningDinamika diartikan sebagai perubahan, pergerakan, dan interaksi yang terjadi dalam suatu sistem atau konteks tertentu. Dinamika pengelolaan kelas mengacu pada interaksi dan hubungan yang terjadi antara guru, siswa, dan lingkungan belajar. Dengan memahami dinamika pengelolaan kelas merupakan kunci untuk pengelolaan kelas yang efektif. Dinamika pengelolaan kelas melibatkan strategi untuk mempertahankan keterlibatan peserta didik atau siswa, mengelola perilaku, dan menciptakan lingkungan pembelajaran yang berkualitas dan efektif bagi seluruh peserta didik. Maka dari itu Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dinamika pengelolaan kelas dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran PAI. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif dan analisis, suatu teknik penelitian yang menggunakan narasi atau kata-kata dalam menjelaskan dan menjabarkan makna dari setiap fenomena, gejala, dan situasi sosial tertentu. Karena itu peneliti perlu menguasai teori untuk menganalisis kesenjangan yang terjadi antara konsep teoritis dengan fakta yang terjadi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan kelas yang efisien dianggap sebagai suatu kualifikasi yang mutlak dalam proses belajar mengajar. Terdapat beberapa komponen penting dalam pengelolaan kelas, yaitu menata ruang kelas, menata peralatan kelas, menggunakan media pembelajaran, dan menerapkan pendekatan-pendekatan pengelolaan kelas. Guru memiliki peran penting dalam pengelolaan kelas dengan kompetensi psikologis, kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotor. Abstract

Certain groups believe the Qur'an legitimizes the establishment of a state based on the khilafah system, specifically citing Surah Al-Baqarah (2:30). The purpose of this research is to critically examine the term khalifah in Q. (2:30) using semantic and semiotic approaches. Additionally, the study will explore the historical features of the term in-depth to answer questions regarding the moral ideal conveyed in the verses on khalifah. Specifically, it investigates whether these verses serve as a legal basis for the khilafah system. Furthermore, the researcher will analyze Qur'anic verses and hadiths related to themes of national defense and love for one’s homeland. The study concludes that the assumption that the Qur'an legitimizes the khilafah system is a misconception. Nowhere in the Qur'an does the term khilafah appear; instead, the term used is khalifah. Verses that discuss khalifah do not aim to validate the establishment of a political system based on khilafah. Rather, they represent God’s designation of humankind as His stewards, tasked with managing and utilizing the Earth's resources responsibly.  Moreover, the moral ideal conveyed by the verses on khalifah underscores God’s recognition of humanity as the creation endowed with Ahsanu Taqwim (the most excellent form). This highlights the dignity and responsibility bestowed upon humankind in fulfilling their role as stewards of the Earth.

Abstract

Wali adhal or reluctant guardian can be explained as a wali nasab who refuses to allow the marriage of the bride-to-be. Because of this refusal, the bride-to-be had to file a case with the local religious court. This application was filed to ask the judge to appoint a guardian in place of the guardian who refused. The Sleman Religious Court, in the context of the Yogyakarta Special Region Province, recorded the highest number of guardian petitions from 2019 to 2021. This study aims to analyze the sociological factors of Islamic law behind court decisions related to the case of wali adhal number 104/Pdt.P/2021/PA. Smn at the Sleman Religious Court. This research uses a qualitative approach that combines field research, interviews, and literature research. The approach used is the approach of the sociology of Islamic law. The result of the determination of the case of the guardian adhal number 104/Pdt.P/2021/PA. Smn revealed that the judge considered factors such as the absence of shari'i barriers to marriage and the reasons put forward by the wali nasab were not in accordance with the teachings of Islamic Shari'a. Finally, based on these considerations in the trial, the judge ruled that the female wali nasab was declared as wali adhal.

Abstract

The paper aims to highlight AbdulHamid AbuSulayman’s (1936-2021) epistemological outlook of Islamic education especially in the context of religious and spiritual instruction relating to familial matters and relation. It aspires to understand the issue from contextual interpretation of the meaning of the ayah as alluded to by the practice of the salaf and the spirit of the shariah. The study is based on qualitative method by way of literature survey and content analysis. The data was analyzed using hermeneutical and philosophical approaches of Abdullah Saeed and Fazlur Rahman’s contextual and double movement framework. The finding shows critical epistemological and structural reform introduced by AbdulHamid AbuSulayman in his works on marital discord and the inviolable principle of human dignity as enshrined in the doctrines of the higher objectives of Islamic Law that presents comprehensive and coherent interpretation of the Qur’an and hadith that celebrates the dynamic context and ideal of shariah to safeguard the welfare of women and children, and transcendental humanistic and reciprocal value and uphold their right and responsibility as guaranteed by law and its manifestation in contemporary legal verdict and opinion showing sympathetic voice on their favour. It contributed to strategic educational breakthrough that uplift their untapped voice and aspiration.
