Abstract

This study aims to analyze the potential for developing halal tourism-based tourism in the Taro Tegallalang Gianyar Tourism Village, Bali. This study used a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach, because most of the data was obtained by interviewing stakeholders and tourists visiting the research location. The results of this study are as follows: the potential for developing halal tourism is very open, because the availability of friendly food and beverage accommodation for Muslim tourists is quite a lot; there is a skewed stigma in the community regarding halal tourism, it needs socialization to the community; and the need to make regional regulations that refer to central government regulations. The conclusion from this study is that most of the tourist attractions in Bali are open to adapting changes that do not conflict with local culture, so that the Taro Tourism Village also has the potential to be developed as a halal or Muslim friendly tourist attraction. This study also suggests that several tourist attractions in Bali are open to changes as long as they do not conflict with local beliefs and wisdom, so that the potential for a large tourism market from Muslims in the world can be utilized for the sustainability of Bali tourism. Abstract

Belitung is one of the regencies in Bangka Belitung Province that has quite large mineral resources of tin mining and has provided a lot of benefit to Belitung Regency for hundreds years. However, these unsustainable mineral resources reserves dwindling and has impact in environmental damage. Meanwhile, Belitung also has the potential of nature tourism that is very unique. The tourism sector is expected to replace the previously development bases of Belitung regency in mining sector, which in turn could improve the welfare of society. This policy also supported by determination Tanjung Kelayang area as a National Tourism Strategic Area. The acceleration of tourism development has not been balanced yet by the readiness of the community, both of as a host and as a business tourism operator. This study aims to assess the community readiness take on tourism-based development. Identifying the readiness both of as the host, which encompass cognitive, affective a nd conative aspects as well as tourism businesses operators, which encompass cognitive, functional and social competencies. Based on the results of analysis, known that the local community of Tanjung Kelayang area still not ready either as a host or as a tourism business operators. Miners mindset for hundreds years has been deeply embedded in the public mindset. However, along with the accelerating of tourism development, the community began to transform into the tourism community. Moreover, some people’s respond is to begin changing their professions to the tourism sector, despite of not continuous and only rely on a drop of skills. Based on the results of analysis, also noted that the community’s competencies as a tourism business operators are still very low level, especially of cognitive competencies and functional competencies, which indicates the low competitiveness of Belitung tourism. People who started to switch the professions in tourism sector, currently do not have the educational background of tourism and neither any formal tourism training yet. All the expertise and skills that they have only rely on the expertise and skills that has learned autodidact and hereditary. Therefore, formed the Local Working Group (LWG) as an opinion leader whose role is to foster and to assist the communities, and also to mediate the various elements of tourism actors in order to collaborate in the development of tourism.

Abstract

Work engagement is one of the important component in the organization that can drive the optimal organizational performance. Work engagement also related to the outcome performance such as productivity, profitability, and customer loyalty. The aim of this research to find out the factors that influence work engagement at PrimeBiz Hotel Surabaya. This research using quantitative method with the saturation sampling technique. The sample of this research were 45 employees that has been working more than a year at PrimeBiz Hotel Surabaya. The result of the result was financial compensation influenced to the work engagement, financial compensation influenced to the organizational commitment, and organizational commitment influenced to the work engagement.

Abstract

Coconut-based material for various home industries in North Sulawesi has made a contribution and become a source of income for local community such as furniture, copra, coconut oil, delicated coconut, various cakes and handicrafts. This study is aimed to evaluate and monitor the growths and product quality of handicraft made of coconut wood and sheel that has been produced by local community in the handicraft centers. The souvenirs with a characteristic or symbol representing the local characteristics of North Sulawesi is taken into consideration to give values to the visitors so that they can prove to their families, relatives, and friends that they really visited the place. This study employed interviews, on-site observation and FGD (Focus Group Discussion). The research identified constraints, problems and challenges encountered by craftsmen and souvenir business operators. Thus, souvenir models and design as a supporting tourism product in North Sulawesi need to be improved in terms marketability, competitiveness and of uniqueness with its local characteristic of North Sulawesi. Bahan mentah industri rumah tangga dari bahan dasar kelapa di Sulawesi Utara telah memberikan kontribusi dan menjadi sumber pendapatan bagi masyarakat lokal seperti mebel, kopra, minyak kelapa, bungkil kopra kelapa, berbagai macam penganan serta kerajinan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pertumbuhan dan kualitas produk kerajinan yang terbuat dari kayu dan tempurung kelapa yang dihasilkan oleh masyarakat setempat di pusat-pusat kerajinan. Souvenir dengan karakteristik atau simbol yang mewakili karakteristik lokal dari Sulawesi Utara menjadi perhatian untuk memberikan nilai kepada para pengunjung sehingga mereka dapat membuktikan kepada keluarga, kerabat, dan teman-teman mereka bahwa mereka benar-benar mengunjungi daerah ini. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalahwawancara, observasi lapangan dan FGD (Focus Group Discussion).Melalui penelitian ini teridentifikasi kendala, masalah dan tantangan yang dihadapi oleh para pengrajin dan pelaku usaha souvenir. Dengan demikian, model souvenir dan desain sebagai produk pariwisata yang mendukung di Sulawesi Utara perlu ditingkatkan dalam hal pemasaran, daya saing dan keunikan dengan ciri khas lokal dari Sulawesi Utara.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) the effect of risk-related information on risk perception; (2) the effect of risk perception on travel anxiety; (3) the effect of travel anxiety on travel intentions; (4) the effect of related information on travel intentions. The research used is descriptive analysis research with a quantitative approach and assisted by the SmartPLS program. Collecting data by distributing questionnaires with google form. The population in this study were all domestic tourists in Indonesia. The sampling technique used is accidental sampling. The sample is 403 respondents. The results showed that: (1) Information related to risk affects the perception of risk; (2) Perceived risk has a significant effect on travel anxiety; (3) Travel anxiety has a significant effect on travel intentions; (4) Information related to risk has a significant effect on travel intentions. Overall, risk-related information has an important role in influencing tourists' travel intentions. Thus, the role of risk-related information as an external factor becomes important in influencing the psychological factors of tourists during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is hoped that the government can make considerations in rebuilding tourism activities in Indonesia through policies that can support business people and protect the health of tourists and their communities. Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of food vloggers and social media endorsement promotions on brand exposure for Klaten Culinary Tourism. This research is a quantitative research with a sampling method using purposive sampling. Research data was taken using primary data from questionnaires given to 150 respondents. The variables in this research consist of two independent variables and one dependent variable. The analysis tool uses the SPSS 24 program. The results of this research show that food vloggers can influence brand exposure positively, where the higher the credibility of the food vlogger, the higher the brand exposure. This shows that the credibility of a food vlogger has significant influence in increasing the brand exposure of Klaten culinary tourism. Meanwhile, endorsement promotions have an insignificant positive influence on brand exposure, which means that the higher the credibility of the endorsement promotion media, the more brand exposure will increase by a small amount. These results indicate that the credibility of endorsed promotional media has a low influence on increasing brand exposure for Klaten culinary tourism. It is hoped that this research can provide literature to culinary tourism business managers on the use of food vloggers and endorsement promotions that can be used to market businesses, especially culinary tourism businesses. Abstract

The research is aimed to study more about the extent to which locality-based safety design can increase the satisfaction of tourists to the tourist attraction in Ancient Volcano Nglanggeran Tourism Village, Pathuk Sub-District, Gunungkidul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region. Quantitative research methods using linear regression analysis were chosen to analyze the role of locality-based safety design allegedly to moderate the influence of tourist attraction on the satisfaction of tourists. The results showed that safety design based on locality proved unable to moderate the performance of tourist attraction in influencing the satisfaction of tourists. The recommendation of the research result is the implementation of safety with the design that has been proven effective in ensuring the safety of tourists

Abstract

Tourism conditions for renewable energy in the new coastal tourism area so far have not maximally attracted tourists and the region has not supported tourism activities. This can be seen from the imbalance in the increase of coastal tourists with renewable energy, which should get attention because it is a benchmark of the mismatch between demand and the availability or availability of existing fields. This study aims to determine the handling of tourism areas for renewable energy that are in accordance with the wishes of tourists, with the aim of tourism studies, supply-demand, and drawing conclusions and recommendations for handling tourism. The approach uses the Quantitative - Two Steps Questionnare method, with the research instrument in the form of a questionnaire through two stages. The result is a discrepancy between supply and demand for infrastructure. Then it needs to be improved so that the tourist area continues.There is a demand for 6 amenities (gates, parking lots, toilets, lodgings, restaurants, souvenir shops) and the development of promotional information by managers within the coastal area through social media. Assessment of supply-demand, namely medium-importance (attractions, accessibility, promotional information), medium-is very important for amentias. The average value is the condition of moderate supply, meaning that it needs improvement because demand says the availability of the field is important to continue the potential of renewable energy as a tourist attraction. Environmental aspects that are very influential in sustainability, if the environment is good then the socio-culture improves and the economy increases.

Abstract

Tourism in Indonesia is increasing every year. The Special Capital Region of Jakarta or DKI Jakarta is the capital of the Republic of Indonesia. DKI Jakarta offers a variety of tourist destinations for all walks of life, from family attractions, nature, culture, education, to culinary. One type of tourism that is quite attractive in DKI Jakarta is cultural tourism. Tourists visit certain places with the aim of learning about the cultural appeal or utilizing the cultural potential of the places visited. The types of art activities consist of performance arts, exhibitions, collections of paintings, and other artistic activities. One of the tourist attractions in DKI Jakarta that has various art collections and holds exhibitions is the National Gallery of Indonesia. This study aims to determine the interest of visitors who travel to the National Gallery of Indonesia. This study uses descriptive research methods with quantitative approaches. Data collection uses a questionnaire whose results will be processed using Microsoft Excel software.The results of this study obtained a value of 3.83 where this value indicates that the interest of visitors who travel to the National Gallery of Indonesia is High.

Abstract

Research landscape management strategy Nostalgia Parks Kupang, aims to analyze the landscape character nostalgic tour of the gardens, the potential and constraints, as well as to propose management strategies garden tour of the city. The research method using three analyzes, namely SWOT analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in the region; analysis of the carrying capacity of the region, and analysis of the characteristics, perceptions, and preferences of visitors. The study was conducted in September 2014 to January 2015. The results showed that the preparation of several important strategies park management system, especially in the area of economic value utilization system, enforcement of visitors travel to / tenant clearly, design improvements (re-design) and garden materials that facilitate / gives a sense of comfort for users, promoting the implementation of local arts and cultural activities that interested visitors, as well as maintaining a special green open space for wildlife.
