Abstract

This study examines the implementation of ISO 31000–based risk management in boarding house businesses located in a developing suburban area in Bandung Regency. Boarding house operators commonly face risks such as delayed rental payments, facility damage, fluctuating occupancy, legal and administrative issues, and building safety concerns. Using a qualitative descriptive method and a case study approach, this research identifies, analyzes, evaluates, and treats risks according to ISO 31000 principles. The results show that the main risks include financial, operational, legal, tenant-related, and environmental safety risks. Recommended mitigation strategies include digital payment systems, routine facility maintenance, written rental agreements, improved security, and emergency procedures. Applying structured risk management enhances business continuity, service quality, and tenant trust.

Abstract

This study explores various risks faced by Mimi Taylor MSME, a home-based sewing service business that has been operating since 1997. The analyzed risks include market risks, marketing risks, financial risks, operational risks, human resources risks, and legal aspects. The research method employs a descriptive qualitative approach through field observations and direct interviews with the business owner. The study results indicate that operational and marketing risks are the most prominent, particularly those related to delays in order completion, equipment damage, lack of promotion, and dependence on existing customers. Risk matrix analysis is conducted based on ISO 31000 principles, followed by the design of mitigation strategies for each major risk. This study emphasizes the significance of implementing structured risk management to support the sustainability and competitiveness of small-scale sewing service businesses.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of fintech usage, the level of technological skills, and the role of social media on the financial literacy of management students at Universitas Teuku Umar. The background of this research is based on the phenomenon of the increasing use of digital financial services among students, which has not been accompanied by an adequate improvement in financial understanding. This research is quantitative in nature with an associative approach, in which the data were obtained through the distribution of questionnaires to 86 management students at Universitas Teuku Umar. The data analysis techniques used include descriptive analysis, validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, as well as t-tests and F-tests to examine the research hypotheses. The results show that the fintech usage variable does not have a significant effect on students’ financial literacy, with a t-value of 0.132, a beta coefficient (β) of 0.014, and a significance value of p = 0.895 > 0.10. This indicates that students tend to use fintech services only for transactional purposes, such as payments and fund transfers, rather than to improve their financial understanding and financial management skills. In contrast, the level of technological skills has a significant effect on financial literacy, with a t-value of 3.411 and a significance value of 0.001 < 0.10. Likewise, the role of social media has a significant effect on students’ financial literacy, with a t-value of 3.379 and a significance value of 0.001 < 0.10. Meanwhile, the results of the simultaneous test (F-test) show that the three independent variables jointly have a significant effect on financial literacy, with an F-value of 48.826 and a significance value of 0.000 < 0.10. From these results, it can be concluded that the level of technological skills and the role of social media have a real influence on improving students’ financial literacy, while fintech usage has not yet had a significant impact. Therefore, improving financial literacy needs to be accompanied by digital education and the wise use of social media as a means of financial learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of package price and network quality on the purchasing decision of XL prepaid cards in West Aceh Regency, both partially and simultaneously. The research employs a quantitative approach with a descriptive research design. The population includes all users of XL prepaid cards in West Aceh, with an undetermined total number. The sample was determined using a purposive sampling technique based on Cochran’s formula, resulting in 96 respondents. Primary data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS software. The findings indicate that the package price variable (X₁) has a significant effect on the purchasing decision of XL prepaid cards in West Aceh, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and a positive coefficient. This suggests that the more affordable and competitive the package price, the higher the consumers’ purchasing decisions. Meanwhile, the network quality variable (X₂) does not have a significant effect on purchasing decisions, with a significance value of 0.410 > 0.05. However, both variables simultaneously have a significant effect on purchasing decisions, as shown by the F-test significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.642 indicates that 64.2% of the variation in purchasing decisions can be explained by package price and network quality, while the remaining 35.8% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. Therefore, it can be concluded that package price is the most dominant factor influencing the purchasing decision of XL prepaid cards in West Aceh, while network quality has not yet become a primary consideration for consumers.

Abstract

Technological development has significantly transformed consumer shopping behavior, particularly through the increasing use of online marketplaces such as Shopee. Various promotional strategies—especially discounts and free shipping—are believed to influence consumer purchasing decisions. However, the extent to which these strategies effectively affect consumers’ purchase decisions requires empirical investigation. This study aims to analyze the influence of discount promotions and free shipping on the purchasing decisions of consumers in Nagan Raya Regency on the Shopee marketplace. This research employed a quantitative descriptive method with a total sample of 96 respondents selected using Cochran’s formula. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed through validity and reliability tests, descriptive analysis, classical assumption tests, and multiple linear regression using SPSS. The findings indicate that both independent variables—discount (X1) and free shipping (X2)—have a positive and significant influence on purchasing decisions (Y). The partial t-test revealed that discounts significantly affect purchasing decisions with a t-value of 5.655, while free shipping also shows a significant influence with a t-value of 7.814. The simultaneous F-test produced an F-value of 152.158 with a significance of 0.000, showing that both variables jointly influence purchasing decisions. The study concludes that higher discount offers and easier access to free shipping significantly increase the likelihood of consumers making a purchase on Shopee. These promotional strategies are proven effective in enhancing consumer purchasing decisions and may serve as valuable insights for businesses in formulating more targeted digital marketing strategies.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy, lifestyle, and trust on the interest in using online loans for students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Negeri Jakarta in 2021, using a quantitative approach with a survey method. The sample was determined through proportional random sampling, resulting in 172 student respondents, while data were collected using a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was preceded by classical assumption tests, including normality and linearity tests, as prerequisites for further analysis, and subsequently continued with multiple linear regression analysis. Hypothesis testing was conducted using the t-test to examine partial effects, the F-test to examine simultaneous effects, and the coefficient of determination to measure the contribution of independent variables to the dependent variable. The results indicate that financial literacy does not have a significant effect on students’ intention to use online loans, whereas lifestyle and trust have a positive and significant effect. Nevertheless, simultaneously, financial literacy, lifestyle, and trust have a significant effect on students’ intention to use online loans. These findings indicate that students’ intention is more dominantly influenced by lifestyle and the level of trust in online loan services, while financial literacy serves as a supporting factor in shaping more rational and responsible financial behavior, particularly in the context of digital financial decision-making among contemporary university students..

Abstract

This study conducts a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to explore how waqf institutions manage accounting, financial reporting, and governance. Drawing on 72 peer-reviewed articles published between 2010 and 2024 from Scopus, Web of Science, and ProQuest, this review maps out current practices, emerging trends, and ongoing challenges in waqf financial management. The findings show that many waqf institutions function as hybrid entities, balancing nonprofit goals with commercial activities, which calls for reporting models that can reflect both roles. In Indonesia, PSAK 112 is a key accounting standard for waqf, but its application remains inconsistent, leading to variation in transparency and accountability across institutions. Governance practices—such as internal controls, board supervision, external auditing, and the use of digital transparency tools—play an essential role but are not uniformly implemented. The review also highlights the growing potential of digital platforms and fintech to improve transparency, accountability, and stakeholder engagement. The study concludes by calling for standardized hybrid reporting frameworks, broader adoption of digital governance solutions, and more cross-country empirical research to strengthen the financial sustainability of waqf institutions.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of BOPO and NPL on Return on Assets (ROA) in banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2020–2024 period. The data were processed using EViews 12 through panel data regression, which included data preparation, descriptive statistics, normality testing, panel-specific diagnostic tests, and model selection using the Chow, Hausman, and LM tests. The results indicate that the Random Effect Model (REM) is the most appropriate model for this research. The findings show that BOPO has a negative and significant effect on ROA, while NPL has a negative but insignificant effect. Simultaneously, both variables significantly influence ROA, with an R² of 93.03%, indicating strong explanatory power. The study concludes that operational efficiency plays a major role in determining bank profitability, whereas credit risk does not significantly affect ROA during the study period.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and evaluate the effect of Risk Perception (X₁) and Reference Group (X₂) on Purchase Intention (Y) for Broiler Chicken in West Aceh, both partially and simultaneously. The research employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive research design. The population in this study consisted of all consumers of Broiler Chicken in West Aceh Regency. Primary data were obtained through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of statistical software. The findings indicate that the Risk Perception variable (X₁) has a significant influence on the purchase intention of Broiler Chicken in West Aceh, with a significance value of 0.010 < 0.05. The positive regression coefficient of 0.157 suggests that when consumers have a clear understanding and feel that potential risks (such as health or food safety) can be managed or minimized, their purchase intention increases. Meanwhile, the Reference Group variable (X₂) also shows a significant and dominant effect on purchase intention (Y), with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. The regression coefficient of 0.535 indicates a stronger positive effect compared to risk perception, meaning that more positive recommendations and influences from family, friends, or close acquaintances lead to higher consumer purchase intention. Simultaneously, Risk Perception and Reference Group significantly influence the purchase intention of Broiler Chicken, as evidenced by an F-test significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.542 indicates that 54.2% of the variation in purchase intention can be explained by the two independent variables, while the remaining 45.8% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. Thus, it can be concluded that the Reference Group is the most dominant factor shaping consumers’ purchase intention for Broiler Chicken in West Aceh.
