Abstract

The rapid development of TikTok Shop through its live streaming and flash sale features has increased impulse buying, which is influenced by consumers' positive emotions. This study aims to analyze the influence of live streaming and flash sales on impulse buying through positive emotion among consumers of Bittersweet by Najla products on TikTok Shop. This study employed a quantitative approach using the Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method with SmartPLS 4. The sample consisted of 130 respondents selected using purposive sampling. The results indicate that live streaming, flash sales, and positive emotion have a positive and significant effect on impulse buying. In addition, live streaming and flash sales also have a positive and significant effect on positive emotion. Furthermore, positive emotion partially mediates the relationship between live streaming and impulse buying, as well as between flash sales and impulse buying. These findings reinforce the Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) Theory, demonstrating that marketing stimuli can evoke positive emotions that ultimately encourage impulse buying.

Abstract

Competition in Indonesia's coffee shop industry is growing increasingly intense, pushing business players to understand the factors that drive customer satisfaction. This study aims to examine the influence of price, service quality, and product innovation on customer satisfaction at Tomoro Coffee in Bekasi City, both partially and simultaneously. The research employed a quantitative approach with a non-probability sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 100 respondents and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the aid of SPSS version 27. The results show that price has a positive and significant influence on customer satisfaction (t = 5.136; sig. < 0.05). Service quality has no significant influence on customer satisfaction (t = 0.865; sig. = 0.389). Product innovation has a positive and significant influence on customer satisfaction (t = 7.583; sig. < 0.05) and is the most dominant variable in the model. Simultaneously, the three independent variables significantly influence customer satisfaction (F = 265.523; sig. = 0.000). The coefficient of determination shows an R Square value of 0.892, meaning price, service quality, and product innovation together explain 89.2% of the variation in customer satisfaction, while the remaining 10.8% is explained by other variables outside this study.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the effect of education, capital expenditure, informal workers, and the COVID-19 pandemic on the poverty rate in East Nusa Tenggara Province during the 2019–2024 period. A quantitative approach was applied using panel data regression analysis with a census technique on the entire population of 22 regencies/cities, yielding 110 observations. Utilizing secondary data from BPS and DJPK, the analysis included classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, and hypothesis testing. The results indicate that education and informal workers have a negative and significant effect on poverty levels. Education improves community productivity, while the informal sector serves as a vital safety net providing alternative income sources. Conversely, capital expenditure has no significant impact on poverty because the benefits of public infrastructure development require a long-term period to materialize. Meanwhile, the COVID-19 pandemic had a positive and significant effect on increasing poverty due to economic disruptions and job losses. These findings imply the need for integrated policies prioritizing education quality, informal sector empowerment, capital expenditure effectiveness, and social protection. Future studies are recommended to add relevant variables such as the human development index, unemployment, or income inequality, and to extend the research period to comprehensively capture long-term impacts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the Human Development Index (HDI), energy consumption, and population density on the Environmental Quality Index (EQI) in 34 provinces of Indonesia during the 2015-2024 period from the perspective of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This research uses a quantitative approach with panel data regression analysis using the Fixed Effect Model (FEM). The data used are secondary data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) and the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK). The results show that HDI has a positive and significant effect on EQI (t = 2.210; p = 0.034), energy consumption has a positive and significant effect on EQI (t = 2.187; p = 0.036), and population density also has a positive and significant effect on EQI (t = 3.288; p = 0.002). The adjusted R-squared value of 76.76% indicates that the three independent variables are able to explain 76.76% of the variation in EQI. These findings confirm that improving human development, sustainable energy management, and well-managed population density can support environmental quality improvement, thereby contributing to the achievement of SDGs in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of profitability and capital adequacy on the efficiency of conventional banks in Indonesia during the period of 2021–2024. This study employed a quantitative approach using secondary data obtained from the financial statements of conventional banks registered with the Financial Services Authority (OJK). The sample was selected using purposive sampling, resulting in 86 banks that met the research criteria during the observation period. Data analysis was conducted using panel data regression with the assistance of EViews 12 software. Based on the results of the Chow Test and Hausman Test, the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) was selected as the most appropriate model. The findings indicate that profitability proxied by Return on Assets (ROA) has a negative and significant effect on the Operating Expenses to Operating Income ratio (BOPO). This result implies that higher profitability contributes to lower BOPO values and consequently improves the operational efficiency of conventional banks in Indonesia. Meanwhile, capital adequacy, proxied by the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) has a positive but insignificant effect on BOPO indicating that an increase in capital has not been able to significantly improve bank efficiency. This finding suggests that adequate capital levels are not necessarily accompanied by the bank's ability to reduce operational costs more efficiently. Simultaneously, profitability and capital adequacy significantly affect the efficiency of conventional banks in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of credit risk (NPL), capital adequacy (CAR), and liquidity (LDR) on profitability (ROA) of conventional banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2019-2024 period. Using a quantitative approach with panel data regression and Random Effect Model, the sample consists of 33 banks with 198 observations. The results show that NPL has a negative and significant effect on ROA with a coefficient of -0.328903 (p-value 0.0000), indicating that increased non-performing loans force banks to raise loan loss provisions, ultimately reducing net income. CAR shows a positive but insignificant effect with a coefficient of 0.005816 (p-value 0.3843), suggesting that maintaining a high capital buffer does not automatically improve profitability if capital is not deployed productively. Similarly, LDR shows a positive but insignificant effect with a coefficient of 0.008889 (p-value 0.0820), implying that aggressive lending without adequate credit quality may not yield expected profit improvement. Simultaneously, NPL, CAR, and LDR significantly affect ROA with F-statistic probability of 0.000000. The R² of 0.191442 indicates that the three variables explain 19.14% of profitability variation, while the remaining 80.86% is explained by other factors outside the model.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment on the Work Performance of university students who work part-time at Universitas Muhammadiyah Bandung, both partially and simultaneously. The research is motivated by the growing phenomenon of students juggling dual roles as part-time workers and full-time students, along with a research gap in the literature, as most prior studies focus on permanent employees while research on part-time student workers remains limited. This study employs a quantitative approach with an associative-causal research design. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 84 active university students who were currently or had previously worked part-time, using a purposive sampling technique, and analyzed using multiple linear regression via SPSS. The results show that Job Satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on Work Performance (t = 3.487; Sig. < 0.001), Organizational Commitment has a positive and significant effect on Work Performance (t = 3.644; Sig. < 0.001), and both variables simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on Work Performance (F = 23.132; Sig. < 0.001), contributing 36.4% (R² = 0.364) to the variance in Work Performance. These findings indicate that although secondary in nature, job satisfaction and organizational commitment remain important drivers of performance among part-time student workers. This study contributes theoretically to the development of organizational behavior research in part-time work contexts, and practically by informing employers on how to foster working conditions that support satisfaction, commitment, and performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Perceived Usefulness (PU), Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU), Perceived Behavioral Control (PBC), and Attitude Toward (ATT) on the Behavior Intention to Use (BIU) the Access by KAI application in Bogor City. A quantitative approach was applied using the PLS-SEM method via SmartPLS software. Through a purposive sampling technique, a sample of 130 respondents aged 17-42 years who were familiar with and had used the application 1 to 2 times was obtained. The research data was collected using a structured questionnaire instrument consisting of 26 statement items. The results show that PU, PEOU, and ATT have a positive and significant influence on BIU. Conversely, PBC was found to have no positive influence on BIU. In the mediation test, ATT successfully mediated the influence of PU on BIU, but failed to mediate the influence of PEOU on BIU. Furthermore, PU did not significantly mediate the influence of PEOU on BIU. These findings indicate that user intentions to utilize the Access by KAI application are more dominantly influenced by perceived benefits, ease of use, and positive attitudes compared to perceived behavioral control. The strongest relationship is shown by the influence of PEOU on PU with a coefficient of 0.790, t-statistics 13.123, and p-value 0.000.
