Abstract

The rapid growth of Indonesia's local skincare industry has intensified brand competition, making brand communication and product quality decisive factors in consumer purchase decisions. This study examines the effect of brand ambassador and product quality on purchase decisions for Glad2Glow skincare products in Bekasi City, with Syifa Hadju as the brand ambassador under study. A quantitative associative-causal approach was employed, involving 100 respondents selected through purposive sampling and analyzed using multiple linear regression with IBM SPSS 27. The results show that brand ambassador has a positive and significant partial effect on purchase decisions (t = 3.640; sig. = 0.000), product quality has a positive and significant partial effect (t = 6.422; sig. = 0.000), and both variables simultaneously affect purchase decisions (F = 66.886; sig. = 0.000) with an Adjusted R Square of 0.571. Product quality, particularly BPOM safety certification, was found to be the more dominant predictor compared to the brand ambassador. These findings suggest that Glad2Glow should maintain consistent product quality while optimizing brand ambassador communication to strengthen consumer purchase decisions in competitive local skincare markets.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of relationship marketing management and service quality on customer loyalty at Bin Daod Hotel. Customer loyalty is an important factor in maintaining the sustainability of hotel businesses amidst increasingly intense competition. Relationship marketing management and service quality are considered factors that can build long-term relationships and increase customer loyalty to the hotel. This study employed a quantitative approach with an associative research design. The population consisted of all customers who had used the services of Bin Daod Hotel. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, resulting in 107 respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires measured using a Likert scale. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression supported by validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, t-tests, F-tests, and coefficient of determination (R²). The results indicate that relationship marketing management has a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty. Service quality also has a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty. Furthermore, relationship marketing management and service quality simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty at Bin Daod Hotel. These findings suggest that the better the implementation of relationship marketing management and service quality, the higher the level of customer loyalty toward Bin Daod Hotel.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of interest rates, exchange rates, the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA), and the Nikkei 225 on the Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) in Indonesia during 2017–2025. Using quantitative approach with 108 monthly time series observations, the analysis employs multiple linear regression with Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) corrected using Newey-West HAC Standard Errors to address autocorrelation. The results show that interest rates have a positive and significant effect on the IHSG (t = 4.347; p = 0.000), while exchange rates have a negative and significant effect (t = -5.163; p = 0.000). The DJIA has no significant effect on the IHSG (t = -1.046; p = 0.298), indicating domestic factors play a more dominant role. The Nikkei 225 has a positive and significant effect (t = 14.093; p = 0.000), confirming strong linkages between Indonesian and Japanese capital markets. The adjusted R-squared of 88.29% indicates that the four independent variables explain 88.29% of IHSG movements. These findings confirm that domestic factors such as interest rates and exchange rates, as well as regional factors such as the Nikkei 225, have a more dominant role in influencing IHSG movements compared to global factors such as the DJIA.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of visitor satisfaction and destination image on Electronic Word of Mouth (E-WOM) at the Teuku Umar Historical Tourism Site. This research employed a quantitative approach with an associative research design. The sampling technique used was non-probability sampling, with a total sample of 100 respondents determined using the Lemeshow formula. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to visitors of the Teuku Umar Historical Tourism Site and analyzed using SmartPLS 4.0. The results showed that visitor satisfaction had a positive and significant effect on Electronic Word of Mouth (E-WOM), with a T-statistic value of 2.898 and a P-value of 0.004. Destination image also had a positive and significant effect on Electronic Word of Mouth (E-WOM), with a T-statistic value of 15.222 and a P-value of 0.000. Furthermore, visitor satisfaction and destination image simultaneously explained 78.9% of the variance in Electronic Word of Mouth (E-WOM), while the remaining 21.1% was influenced by other factors outside the scope of this study. The findings indicate that destination image is the most dominant variable influencing Electronic Word of Mouth (E-WOM).

Abstract

This study aims to design and build a web-based accounting information system for cash receipts at SMP and SMA Villa Mas. The research uses a qualitative approach with Research and Development (R&D) method and the Waterfall model for system development, consisting of requirement analysis, design, coding, and testing stages. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature study with informants including the treasurer, administration staff, and school principal. The results show that the manual cash receipt system using ledgers and Microsoft Excel causes various problems such as data integration issues, difficulty tracking student payment status, double recording, calculation errors, difficulty finding payment history, slow report preparation, and inefficient archiving. Based on these problems, a web-based system was designed with features for managing master data (students, classes, majors, school units, academic years, fee types, and rates), generating student bills, payment transactions, printing receipts, displaying student bill recaps, and generating cash receipt reports. System testing using Black Box Testing method shows that all system functions run according to user needs. The system is declared feasible for use and can improve the efficiency, accuracy, and transparency of cash receipt administration at SMP and SMA Villa Mas.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the impact of the mining sector’s contribution and Average Years of Schooling (AYS) on the growth of Regional Gross Domestic Product (RGDP), as well as the impact of the mining sector’s contribution and Local Revenue (PAD) on the Human Development (IPM). This quantitative study employs multiple linear regression on panel data (a combination of time series from 2011–2024 and cross-sectional data) across eight mining-producing provinces in Indonesia selected through a purposive sampling technique. Secondary data were sourced from official publications of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and the Directorate General of Budget and State Financial Management (DJPK) of the Ministry of Finance. The results indicate that the mining sector’s contribution has a positive and significant effect on GRDP growth; thus, no evidence of the resource curse was found in the context of economic growth. However, the mining sector’s contribution exhibits a negative and insignificant effect on the Human Development Index (HDI), indicating a tendency toward the “resource curse” phenomenon, as the economic benefits of mining have not yet been optimally converted into public welfare. On the other hand, RLS is found to have a positive and significant effect on GRDP growth, consistent with human capital theory. Local Revenue (PAD) also has a positive and significant effect on the Human Development Index (HDI), confirming that public welfare is greatly influenced by the effectiveness of local governments in managing fiscal capacity for public services, rather than relying solely on mining revenues.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of students' perceptions of narcissistic behavior in academic groups (X) on their ethical decision-making (Y). A quantitative survey design was employed. Data were collected from 35 active students of the Management Study Program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Bandung using convenience sampling through an online questionnaire consisting of 20 Likert-scale items. The instrument testing indicated that all items were valid (item-total correlation ranging from 0.355 to 0.843) and reliable (Cronbach's Alpha = 0.943 for variable X and 0.824 for variable Y). Descriptive statistics showed relatively high mean scores for both perceptions of narcissistic behavior (mean = 4.01) and ethical decision-making (mean = 4.11). Simple linear regression analysis produced the equation Y = 3.415 + 0.173X, with R² = 0.080 and p = 0.101, indicating that perceptions of narcissistic behavior did not have a statistically significant effect on ethical decision-making. Interestingly, the observed relationship was positive, contrary to the initial hypothesis. These findings suggest that the research instrument is more likely to capture respondents' evaluations of the negative impact of narcissistic behavior within groups rather than the actual extent to which they experience narcissistic behavior in their group interactions.

Abstract

Student organizations provide a strategic space for leadership development, yet an unhealthy organizational culture can become a source of psychological pressure for its members. This study examines the influence of organizational culture, social support, and coping strategies on the mental health of active members of student associations (himpunan mahasiswa) at Universitas Muhammadiyah Bandung, using a quantitative regression approach. An explanatory survey design guided the study, with active members recruited through proportionate stratified random sampling and a minimum sample size determined by the Slovin formula. Data were collected using a twenty-item Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed through multiple linear regression following validity, reliability, and classical assumption testing. Owing to a response rate below the calculated minimum sample, the findings are presented descriptively and interpreted as preliminary evidence rather than a fully validated regression model. The results indicate that a supportive organizational culture, marked by strong communal values and low hierarchical pressure, is descriptively associated with better emotional regulation and self-care among members, while ambiguity in task division corresponds with a lower tendency to seek collective problem-solving. These findings contribute empirical insight toward building healthier and more supportive organizational climates in higher education and provide a foundation for future confirmatory research with a larger sample.
