Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of ICT-based learning media and student learning creativity on economic learning outcomes through an experimental study at grade X SMA Negeri 64 Jakarta. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design was employed. The sample consisted of 72 students selected using cluster sampling, divided into an experimental group (36 students) using ICT-based learning media and a control group (36 students) using conventional learning methods. Data were collected through creativity questionnaires and economic learning outcome tests, then analyzed using descriptive statistics, prerequisite tests, and two-way ANOVA. The results show that: (1) there is a significant difference in learning outcomes between students using ICT-based learning media and those using conventional methods (F = 206.164; p = 0.000), with the experimental group achieving higher scores (mean = 89.03) than the control group (mean = 75.56); (2) there is a significant difference in learning outcomes between students with high and low learning creativity (F = 34.071; p = 0.000); and (3) there is no significant interaction between ICT-based learning media and learning creativity on economic learning outcomes (F = 0.024; p = 0.876). The model explains 79.1% of the variation in learning outcomes. These findings indicate that ICT-based learning media effectively improve student learning outcomes and creativity plays a significant role in determining academic achievement.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of hedonic shopping motivation on consumer purchasing decisions at Zam-Zam Premium Store in Bima City. The rapid growth of the fashion industry has transformed consumer behavior, where shopping is no longer merely intended to fulfill functional needs but also serves as a source of pleasure, entertainment, and emotional satisfaction. This research employed a quantitative approach using a causal associative research design. The population consisted of all consumers who had made purchases at Zam-Zam Premium Store, while the sample comprised 96 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires, observations, and literature studies. The data were analyzed using validity and reliability tests, simple linear regression analysis, the t-test, and the coefficient of determination (R²) with the assistance of SPSS software. The results indicate that all research instruments were valid and reliable. The simple linear regression analysis produced the equation Y = 12.237 + 0.575X, indicating that hedonic shopping motivation has a positive effect on purchasing decisions. The t-test showed a calculated t-value of 9.305 with a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05), confirming that the research hypothesis was accepted. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.482, indicating that hedonic shopping motivation explained 48.2% of the variation in consumer purchasing decisions, while the remaining 51.8% was influenced by other factors not examined in this study. Therefore, it can be concluded that hedonic shopping motivation has a positive and significant effect on consumer purchasing decisions at Zam-Zam Premium Store.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of competence and training on employee job performance at the Bima City Samsat Office. Improving the quality of human resources is essential for enhancing organizational performance, particularly in public service institutions that are required to deliver effective, efficient, and professional services. This study employed a quantitative approach with an associative research design. The population consisted of 42 employees of the Bima City Samsat Office, all of whom were selected as the research sample using the saturated sampling (total sampling) technique. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and literature review. The data were analyzed using validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, correlation coefficient analysis, coefficient of determination (R²), t-test, and F-test with the assistance of SPSS software. The results indicate that all research instruments were valid and reliable and met the classical assumption requirements. The multiple linear regression equation obtained was Y = 5.449 + 0.500X₁ + 0.222X₂ + e. The partial test revealed that competence had a positive and significant effect on employee job performance (t = 4.337; p = 0.000 < 0.05), whereas training did not have a significant effect (t = 1.797; p = 0.080 > 0.05). However, the simultaneous test demonstrated that competence and training jointly had a positive and significant effect on employee job performance (F = 16.043; p = 0.000 < 0.05). The coefficient of determination (R² = 0.451) indicates that competence and training explained 45.1% of the variation in employee job performance, while the remaining 54.9% was influenced by other factors not examined in this study. Therefore, it can be concluded that competence is a key factor in improving employee job performance, while the implementation of training programs should be evaluated and optimized to better support employee performance improvement.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Organizational culture is often assumed to be fixed and resistant to change (the "myth" view), whereas the "science" perspective argues it can be deliberately shaped. This study examines this debate through a qualitative case study of the Management Student Association (HMM) at Universitas Muhammadiyah Bandung, analyzing whether its culture evolved across leadership periods. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and direct observation. Culture was examined through seven dimensions adapted from Robbins and Judge, while organizational change was analyzed using Kurt Lewin’s three-stage model (unfreezing, movement, refreezing). The findings indicate that HMM UMB's culture is dynamic rather than static: fundamental, constitutional-level values and rules are maintained consistently, while technical work systems, communication patterns, and operational structures adapt to each leadership style and organizational needs. All three stages of Lewin’s model were identifiable in the 2025–2026 transition, indicating that cultural change occurred through a deliberate process rather than by chance. These findings support the science perspective over the myth of an unchanging culture, offering practical implications for how student organizations can preserve their core identity while remaining adaptive to generational change.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Cost, and Self-Regulation on Subscribe Intention of Ruangguru among senior high school students in DKI Jakarta. The research addresses the gap between Ruangguru's registered users (over 25 million) and the low conversion rate of free users into paying subscribers. A quantitative approach with a survey method was employed through an online questionnaire distributed to 150 respondents selected using purposive sampling. The independent variables consist of Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Cost, and Self-Regulation, while the dependent variable is Subscribe Intention. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS. The results indicate that Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, and Self-Regulation have a positive and significant influence on Subscribe Intention, while Perceived Cost has a negative and significant influence. Simultaneously, all four variables significantly influence Subscribe Intention. The Adjusted R² value indicates that the four variables explain a substantial portion of the variation in Subscribe Intention. These findings are expected to contribute theoretically to technology acceptance models and provide strategic insights for Ruangguru's management in designing more effective user conversion programs.

Abstract

This study examines how a university student who actively participates in campus organizations perceives and ethically evaluates the use of emotional intelligence (EI) by organizational leaders. Drawing on the ethical dilemma proposed by Robbins, “Should Managers Use Emotional Intelligence?”, this research adopts a qualitative single-case study approach involving an informant whose Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) personality type was already known prior to the interview. Data were collected through an in-depth, semi-structured interview with a student actively involved in several campus organizations and committees. The findings reveal that the informant distinguishes ethical from manipulative use of EI primarily through the consistency of a leader’s caring behavior, rather than the leader’s stated intentions. The informant also described an ambiguous experience in which a generally empathetic leader made a unilateral, pressuring decision under time constraints, indicating that EI-driven leadership is not free from ethical tension. The informant’s ENFJ personality type appeared to shape an initial tendency toward trust, later balanced by a more action-based evaluation of leaders’ sincerity. This study contributes a grounded, personality-aware perspective to the ongoing ethical debate on EI in leadership.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Financial Literacy, Peer Conformity, and Financial Anxiety on the Financial Behavior of Generation Z in the Jabodetabek area. A quantitative approach was employed using an explanatory research design. Data were collected through online questionnaires distributed to 218 respondents selected through purposive sampling. After data cleaning, 217 respondents were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the Weighted Least Squares (WLS) method to address heteroscedasticity issues. The results show that Financial Literacy has a positive and significant influence on Financial Behavior (t = 6.840; p = 0.000), indicating that higher financial literacy leads to better financial management practices. Conversely, Peer Conformity does not have a significant influence on Financial Behavior (t = -0.724; p = 0.470), suggesting that social pressure from peers does not substantially affect financial decision-making among Generation Z. Similarly, Financial Anxiety does not have a significant influence on Financial Behavior (t = 0.381; p = 0.703), meaning that financial worries do not directly translate into changes in financial behavior. The Adjusted R Square value of 0.201 indicates that the three variables collectively explain 20.1% of the variation in Financial Behavior, while the remaining 79.9% is influenced by other factors outside the model.
