Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of using audio fairytales as a medium to enhance vocabulary acquisition among eleventh-grade students at SMAN 1 Mayong, specifically students from class XI-10. The research employed a one-group pretest-posttest design to assess students’ vocabulary mastery before and after the intervention. The treatment consisted of two learning sessions using audio fairytales, delivered through structured and interactive listening activities. Data were collected via pre-tests and post-tests measuring both receptive and productive vocabulary knowledge. The results demonstrated a significant improvement in students’ vocabulary acquisition, with the mean score increasing markedly from 42.78 in the pre-test to 91.11 in the post-test. Statistical analysis using the paired sample t-test confirmed the difference was statistically significant (p-value = 0.000). The effect size was large, with Cohen’s d at 19.29 and Hedges’ correction at 19.71, indicating a strong impact of the intervention. These findings suggest that integrating audio fairytales into English instruction is an effective approach to fostering vocabulary development, enhancing student engagement, and supporting meaningful language retention

Abstract

Reading the Qur'an is the main guideline to calm the hearts of Muslims, and is one of the worship that must be done to obtain the pleasure of Allah SWT, indeed does not prioritize absorption and understanding through the transfer of information alone, but rather prioritizes the development of skills. For this reason, the abilities of students need to be developed through active roles and exercises or activities that can support the ability to read the Qur'an. The tartil method is a way of reading the Qur'an slowly and slowly and pronouncing the letters from the makhraj correctly. Reading slowly and correctly can clearly hear each letter, and its tajweed. This study aims to: (1) Determine and describe the application of the Tartil method to improve children's understanding in reading the Qur'an correctly according to the rules of makhraj and the laws of reading it for children in Ulu Aer village, (2) To determine and describe the increase in the ability to read the Qur'an after using the Tartil method in children in Ulu Aer village. The author conducted descriptive research, collecting data through direct research, documentation, and interviews. The author concluded that the use of tartil would improve children's understanding of the Quran in Ulu Aer village.

Abstract

Peran Pemerintahan kelurahan dalam meingkatkan kualitas pelayanan publik ditingkat kelurahan Untuk mengatur dan mengurus urusan pemerintahan serta kepentingan masyarakat setempat. Namun,masih banyak kelurahan yang menghadapi berbagai tantangan ,seperti keterbatasan sumber daya manusia,rendahnya partisipasi masyarakat ,serta kurangnya transparansi dan akuntabilitas dalam pelayanan publik .partisipasi masyarakat dalam proses pelayanan masih bersifat pasif,sehingga berdampak pada rendahnya pengawasan dan akuntabilitas.Oleh karena itu ,perlu adanya peningkatan kapasitas aparatur kelurahan,digitalisasi layanan,serta penguatan partisipasi masyarakat agar pelayanan publik menjadi efensi,lebih efektif,dan responsif terhadap kebutuhan warga.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran nilai-nilai keagamaan dalam membentuk karakter dan perilaku sosial masyarakat di era modern. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik studi literatur dan wawancara mendalam terhadap tokoh agama serta anggota masyarakat di tiga daerah berbeda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai keagamaan memiliki kontribusi signifikan dalam memperkuat etika, solidaritas sosial, dan toleransi antarumat beragama. Namun, tantangan muncul akibat pengaruh globalisasi dan media digital yang terkadang menggeser pemahaman serta praktik ajaran agama. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan peningkatan peran lembaga keagamaan dan pendidikan dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai moral berbasis agama yang adaptif terhadap perkembangan zaman.

Abstract

The apotek hidup (living pharmacy) concept refers to utilizing available land to grow medicinal plants (TOGA) that provide both health benefits and educational value. This study was motivated by the importance of instilling health knowledge based on local wisdom at an early age for elementary school students. SD Negeri Gelam 01 was chosen as the research site due to its spacious open area suitable for developing a school medicinal plant garden, which had not been optimally utilized for educational purposes. This research employed a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, engaging 30 fourth and fifth-grade students actively in all stages, from material delivery, planting practice, to plant maintenance. Data were collected through observation sheets, knowledge questionnaires, and interviews with supervising teachers. Quantitative data were analyzed using the gain score method to measure knowledge improvement, while qualitative data were analyzed descriptively based on observations and interviews. The results indicate a significant increase in students’ knowledge of medicinal plants, from an average of 1–2 types to 4–5 types after the activity. Additionally, students’ practical planting skills and environmental awareness improved considerably. The apotek hidup program proved effective in integrating health education, gardening skills, and environmental awareness character building in elementary school students.

Abstract

The habit of saving from an early age is a crucial strategy in fostering responsible financial character in children. The consumptive behavior among elementary school students indicates that most children do not yet understand the importance of setting aside pocket money for long-term needs. The "Saving Awareness and Piggy Bank Coloring" program at SD Negeri Gelam 1 was designed to introduce basic financial management concepts in a creative and enjoyable way. This activity aims to build students' financial awareness and motivation to save regularly. This study employed a qualitative descriptive approach involving 53 fifth-grade students at SD Negeri Gelam 1. The activity was conducted on July 28, 2025, as part of a Community Service Program (KKN) by university students. The steps included delivering a brief session on the benefits of saving, distributing plain piggy banks, coloring activities, presenting the finished products, and a reflection and Q&A session. Data were collected through observation, photo documentation, and informal interviews with students and teachers, and were analyzed descriptively to capture changes in student attitudes. The results revealed high enthusiasm among students, demonstrated by their active participation in every stage of the activity. Approximately 85% of students showed a positive shift in attitudes toward saving, reflected in their commitment to regularly fill their piggy banks at home. Teachers also observed ongoing discussions about savings among students after the activity. These findings suggest that art-based learning methods can be an effective strategy for instilling financial literacy values from an early age.

Abstract

The balance game from Indonesia, Egrang, has been noted for its increasingly recognized cultural value, as well as for its physical challenge nature. This challenge, although it appears simple, comes from maintaining overall dynamic equilibrium — most importantly, control of the center of mass (CoM) and the base of support (BoS) during locomotion. In this case, Python simulations (which were done with the help of ChatGPT) within a Newtonian dynamic framework revealed two equilibrium stages within parameter-space: a static phase which is perpetually defined by symmetrical body weight distribution, and a dynamical phase which requires some bodily motion “lever” action to achieve rhythmic stepping. We performed a simulation and observed that it is a function of the step frequency, height of the stilts, and where the center of gravity is during the process. The challenge lies in maintaining dynamic control of the stances and the successful learning of this control process demonstrates the multitude of motor control mechanisms that are required for effective postural adaptation to stilts. These findings, confirmed by experiments, and others suggest that stilts could be used as an effective balance training tool.

Abstract

Program Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS) merupakan upaya promotif dan preventif yang bertujuan meningkatkan kualitas kesehatan masyarakat melalui perubahan pengetahuan, sikap, dan perilaku hidup sehat. PHBS melibatkan peran aktif individu, keluarga, dan masyarakat dalam menjaga kebersihan dan kesehatan lingkungan serta diri. Pelaksanaan PHBS dipengaruhi oleh tiga faktor utama yaitu faktor predisposing (pengetahuan dan sikap), faktor pemungkin (fasilitas dan sarana kesehatan), dan faktor penguat (dukungan tokoh masyarakat serta regulasi). Penerapan PHBS yang efektif membutuhkan kolaborasi dari pemerintah dan masyarakat, khususnya dalam lingkungan rumah tangga dan sekolah, sebagai bagian dari upaya mencapai target kesehatan dalam Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Dengan pelaksanaan PHBS yang konsisten, diharapkan dapat meningkatkan derajat kesehatan masyarakat secara berkelanjutan dan mencegah berbagai penyakit yang berpotensi mengganggu kualitas hidup

Abstract

A computer network is a collection of devices connected to communicate and exchange data. The internet is a global network that connects users worldwide. To access the internet, Mikrotik network devices and LAN cables are commonly used. However, LAN cables are less efficient for multiple users, especially smartphone users, as Android devices do not support LAN connections. Mikrotik offers a hotspot feature that allows users to connect wirelessly. To ensure security and prevent unauthorized access, login authentication is required. This can be achieved by integrating the RADIUS feature on Mikrotik with FreeRADIUS and MySQL on an Ubuntu server. User accounts for authentication can be managed through the daloRADIUS web application. The integration of FreeRADIUS, MySQL, and daloRADIUS with Mikrotik simplifies user account management and prevents unauthorized users from accessing the network. This system enhances security and ensures only registered users are able to access the internet via the hotspot

Abstract

Islamic financial literacy plays a strategic role in creating household economic resilience, especially in rural areas. This study aims to formulate an Islamic financial management training model applicable for families in Ulu Aer Village. The research method employs a qualitative descriptive approach through literature review, observation, and focus group discussions with community leaders. The findings reveal that low financial literacy causes families to struggle in managing income and expenses. The proposed training model consists of five stages: financial problem identification, basic Islamic literacy training, practical workshops, application of Sharia principles, and mentoring and evaluation. Implementing this model is expected to enhance family financial management skills, reduce consumer debt burdens, and strengthen social solidarity through zakat, infaq, and sadaqah.
