Abstract

The challenges of the industrial revolution 4.0 encourage curriculum development to equip students with 21st century skills, such as critical thinking skills, creativity and digital literacy. It was recorded that Indonesia's 2018 PISA ranking in terms of literacy was unsatisfactory. Therefore, the National Examination was replaced with a Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM) so that students' literacy skills are better honed. This research focuses on developing AKM type questions based on CBT (Computer Based Testing) (Case Study: Jepara Regency Creative Industries). It is hoped that from this research, students can think more critically, creatively and innovatively in solving problems. The questions consist of 40 questions with 5 types, namely multiple choice, complex multiple choice, description, short answer, and matching. Tested on 39 class XI students of Muhammadiyah 2 Mayong High School using a random sampling method. Based on the feasibility test of the question instrument, the result was 92.03 with the category very suitable for use. Meanwhile, for the validity test results, the score was 0.316 in the valid category, reliability 1 in the reliable category, difficulty level 0.24 and differential power 0.46 in the good category

Abstract

This research aims to explain the form of an authentic assessment instrument based on Google Sites to measure the learning outcomes of the IPAS Project on the Earth and Space aspects, as well as test its validity, reliability and practicality. The test subjects were 110 students. The data analysis technique uses Aiken's V for content validity, CFA for construct validity, ICC for interrater reliability, CR and VE for construct reliability, Cronbach's Alpha for internal reliability of the instrument, and percentage for practicality. The research results obtained three forms of authentic assessment instruments based on Google Sites that measure the learning outcomes of the IPAS Project, namely independent assignment assessment sheets, group project assignment assessment sheets, and objective tests. The instrument is valid in terms of both content validity and construct validity, except for items B2 and B4 so they must be removed from the model. The instrument is reliable in terms of interrater reliability, instrument reliability and construct reliability, except for dimension C which has a VE value below the criteria. A very practical instrument to use in measuring the learning outcomes of the IPAS Project.

Abstract

Platform Merdeka Mengajar (PMM) has been launched since 2020. Since then, it has become a resource for teachers to support their teaching and learning activities. The platform offered many opportunities for the teachers to build and develop their capacity for a better quality of teaching, from planning to classroom practices. It was essential to know their view of using the platform. This study aimed to investigate the teachers' optimism in using the platform. Besides, it explored what factors influenced their optimism in using  PMM. The study used a quantitative approach to see the teachers' general tendency regarding their optimism. It involved 303 primary school teachers as the participants. It used a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire for the data collection. The analysis data covered the reliability and validity of the items, descriptive analysis, and correlation between the items constructing the optimism. The study's findings showed that the teachers in this study had a high optimism of 4.17. The study also described that planning the lesson, flexibility, capacity building, and teachers’ productivity did affect their optimism in using Platform Merdeka Mengajar. Further research recommendations were described in the conclusion section.

Abstract

The character of mutual cooperation has not been widely applied in the implementation of Pancasila Student Profile character education. The research aims to analyze the influence of the project-based learning integrated Ethno-STEM on the Pancasila Student Profile Mutual Cooperation Dimension. The research method was carried out using a true-experiment pretest-posttest control group design. Data collection instruments include an observation sheet for the Pancasila Student Profile Mutual Cooperation Dimension and a questionnaire for student responses to the project-based learning integrated Ethno-STEM in the Pancasila Student Profile Mutual Cooperation Dimension. Data analysis techniques include validity testing, reliability testing, testing the difference in the average value of each indicator, and testing the average value of each statement. The results of the research concluded that (a) the Pancasila Student Profile Mutual Cooperation Dimension assessment instrument that had been developed was declared very feasible and reliable, (b) the comparison of the average observation scores for each indicator of the Mutual Cooperation Dimension experimental class was higher than the control class shows that PjBL-Ethno-STEM can improve mutual cooperation attitudes, (c) the average student response strongly agrees with the project-based learning integrated Ethno-STEM is applied to provide the Pancasila Student Profile Mutual Cooperation Dimension.

Abstract

This research aims to answer the problems: 1) Does students' learning motivation have a close relationship with their English achievement? and 2) How is the relationship between students' learning motivation and their English achievement? It is hoped that the results will be useful for English language observers who want to know more about English learning achievements which are influenced by learning motivation and for students as motivation for learning English. The population in this research is scientific publication articles in journals about students’ motivation and their English achievements in the last ten years 2013-2023. The sample in this research is a scientific publication article about achievement motivation in English learning. Research articles have the following categories: 1) Articles are created by public researchers and students; 2) Articles use qualitative, quantitative, qualitative and quantitative strategies; 3) Articles are about the possession of motivation to learn English in relation to student achievement; 4) Education levels are Junior High School, High School, College, and English course. In this study, researchers used the 'listening method' to collect data from works that discuss student motivation and their English language achievements in the last ten years. To test the validity of the data, researchers used source triangulation. This research is a meta-synthesis research with a qualitative approach carried out in three steps, namely preparation, action, and preparation of a research report. The research results show that students' learning motivation has a close relationship with their English language achievement, and 2) The relationship between students' learning motivation and English language achievement is interrelated. Motivation to learn English influences learning achievement. Learners who have high motivation in learning English achieve good results, while those who have low motivation to learn achieve less well.

Abstract

Creative thinking is one of the competencies that must be possessed in the 21st. However, there is a problem that students' creative thinking  skills  need  to  be improve, educational games needs to be improved due to the lack of adjustment of learning media with the condition of students. Therefore, Game AR media integrated with the PjBL syntax is needed that can improve students' creative thinking skills. This study aims to develop a valid Game AR media integrated with the PjBL syntax and analyze the significance of the influence of Game AR media integrated with the PjBL syntax on improving students' creative thinking skills. The research was carried out at SMP Negeri 1 Nusawungu. The population in this study is all class VIII and the sampling technique is carried out by means of cluster random sampling. The sample of this study is 31 students in class VIII A SMP Negeri 1 Nusawungu.  This research uses the Research and Development method with a 4D model (Define, Design, Development, Disseminate).  The results of the study show that the PjBL integrated Game AR is valid to be used with the N-Gain value of students in the high category. The results of the paired sample t-test showed a significance value < probability, so that it can be concluded that the Game AR media integrated with the PjBL syntax developed is valid to use and can significantly improve students' creative thinking skills.

Abstract

The study aims to improve the effectiveness of the online attendance system at Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES). The existing system, reliant on web-based input via tokens and employee identification numbers, suffers from inefficiencies and potential inaccuracies due to proxy attendance. These limitations hinder productivity and the accuracy of performance appraisals. To address these challenges, a Smart Machine Presence system was designed and implemented, utilize RFID e-money cards which become employee Identification cards (ID Card)  to streamline the process and eliminate the need for manual input. This novel system employs Raspberry Pi 4 Model B technology, integrated with RFID readers and camera modules for robust authentication. The research utilized a three-stage approach: system needs analysis, prototype design, and system development. Usability testing conducted with 20 participants using the System Usability Scale (SUS) yielded a score of 86.8, indicating high user satisfaction and effectiveness. The proposed system demonstrated significant advantages, including improved data validity, enhanced operational efficiency, and reduced resource costs compared to traditional systems. This study concludes that the Smart Machine Presence system is a cost-effective, efficient, and scalable solution for modern attendance management systems.
