Abstract

Background: Accurate fracture coding is crucial in medical record systems as it affects patient data validity, insurance claims, and the planning and evaluation of healthcare services. The performance of medical record officers plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of coding diagnoses and medical procedures. Objective: This study aims to analyze the impact of medical record officers' performance on the accuracy of fracture coding in hospitals. Methods: This study employs a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. Data were collected through direct observation, interviews, and analysis of medical records of patients diagnosed with fractures. Statistical tests were conducted to analyze the relationship between medical record officers' performance and the accuracy of fracture coding. Results: The study results indicate a significant relationship between the performance of medical record officers and the accuracy of fracture coding. Factors such as understanding of the disease classification system, meticulousness in documentation, and the level of experience of officers contribute to coding accuracy. Conclusion: The performance of medical record officers significantly influences the accuracy of fracture coding. Therefore, improving staff competence through training and periodic evaluations is essential to ensure optimal medical record data quality.

Abstract

The quality of medical documentation is a crucial factor in healthcare services, playing a role in the continuity of patient care, clinical decision-making, and legal aspects. Proper medical record management can enhance the accuracy, completeness, and efficiency of patient data documentation. This study aims to analyze the impact of medical record management training on the quality of medical documentation in healthcare facilities. The research method used is a quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. Data were collected through questionnaires and direct observations before and after training sessions for medical record officers in various hospitals and clinics. The results indicate that medical record management training significantly contributes to improving the completeness, timeliness, and compliance in patient data documentation. Therefore, regular training and the implementation of electronic record-keeping systems are recommended to enhance the quality of medical documentation.

Abstract

Digital transformation in healthcare services is becoming increasingly essential, particularly through the implementation of Electronic Medical Records (EMR). Organizational readiness in adapting to this change is a critical factor in ensuring successful implementation. This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational factors on the readiness to adopt EMR in supporting digital transformation in healthcare facilities. The research method employed is a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. Data were collected through questionnaires and interviews with healthcare professionals and medical record managers in various hospitals and clinics. The results indicate that leadership, organizational culture, human resource readiness, and technological infrastructure have a significant relationship with EMR implementation readiness. Therefore, strategic planning, healthcare staff training, and optimization of information technology are necessary to ensure the successful adoption of EMR in supporting digital transformation.

Abstract

Background: The World Health Organization (WHO) claims that the elderly population aged 60 years will increase from 1 billion in 2020 to 1.4 billion in 2050. The elderly are a group of people aged 60 years with increasing age, the degeneration process experienced by the elderly causes decreased body function, gradual loss of bone mass is one of these declines, and is followed by decreased muscle strength, all of which result in impaired physical mobility in the elderly. Objective: the effectiveness of ROM application on muscle strength in the elderly with impaired physical mobility. Method: this study used a pre-experimental method with a one group pretest and post-test design. Results: ROM exercises have a significant effect on increasing muscle strength in the elderly with impaired physical mobility. Conclusion: the provision of ROM actions has been proven to be effective in increasing muscle strength values in the elderly with impaired physical mobility, with an average increase in upper extremity muscle strength values of 0.87 and lower extremities of 0.78 Suggestion: it is hoped that the results of this study can be used to help nurses provide ROM interventions in the elderly with impaired physical mobility to increase muscle strength.

The normal level of uric acid is 3.5-7 mg/dl for men and 2.6-6 mg/dl for women. According to the WHO (World Health Organization), around 355 million people around the world suffer from gout arthritis. In Indonesia, the incidence rate of Gout Arthritis is also high, with a prevalence of 81%. According to data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health in 2018, the number of gout arthritis sufferers in DKI Jakarta reached 6.76%. Gout arthritis often occurs in elderly people due to decreased kidney function and consumption of foods high in purines. One way to lower uric acid levels is to drink soursop juice. Objective: To determine the effect of soursop juice on reducing uric acid levels in elderly people with gout arthritis. Methods: A Case study with descriptive analysis of 2 clients. Results: After an assessment of clients I and II, pain complaints were found, and a diagnosis of chronic pain related to chronic musculoskeletal conditions was raised. The intervention carried out was to administer soursop juice twice a day as much as 200 ml for 7 consecutive days. Client 1 experienced a decrease in uric acid levels from 9.3 mg/dl to 5.7 mg/dl and client 2 experienced a decrease in uric acid levels from 8.6 mg/dl to 5.0 mg/dl. Conclusion: This study shows that there is an effect of soursop juice on reducing uric acid levels in elderly people with gout arthritis in PSBD Budi Bhakti 2 Cengkareng

Abstract

Abstract

Non-communicable diseases still contribute to the highest mortality rate in Indonesia, especially hypertension. One of the factors of hypertension is physical activity. WHO also estimates that 1 in 5 women worldwide have hypertension. This number is greater among men, which is 1 in 4 people (Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, 2023). The purpose of this study was to determine the degree of hypertension, determine physical activity, and analyze the relationship between physical activity and hypertension at the Kenanga Posbindu, Grogol Village. The population of this study was 55 respondents with hypertension. The sample of this study used a purposive sampling technique so that a sample of 34 respondents was obtained. The focus of this study was the incidence of hypertension and physical activity. The analysis used in this study was an analysis using SPSS with the Chi-Square test. The results of the analysis showed that Hypertension with Grade 2 was 52.9% higher than Hypertension with Grade 1, which was 47.1%. Physical activity 52.9% were quite active. There is a significant relationship between physical activity and hypertension (P value = 0.017). The conclusion of this study is that hypertension sufferers who do less physical activity have a 2.31 times greater chance of experiencing grade II hypertension when compared to hypertension sufferers who do light physical activity. This can be caused by other factors such as high physical stress, rest or other lifestyle factors.
