Abstract

Islamic education plays a vital role in fostering interreligious tolerance in Indonesia, a country renowned for its immense cultural and religious diversity. This study aims to analyze how Islamic education contributes to the creation of interreligious tolerance through the integration of tolerance values into curricula, teaching methods, and school activities. The research employs a library research methodology by examining various literature sources, including the Qur'an, Hadith, and studies on Islamic education and tolerance. The findings indicate that profound Islamic teachings on pluralism—such as the principle of rahmatan lil ‘alamin (mercy to all creation), respect for differences, and the prohibition of religious coercion—provide a strong foundation for building tolerance. Islamic education that incorporates these values into both formal and informal learning processes can help students understand the importance of coexisting harmoniously with people of different faiths. However, challenges such as the politicization of religion and biases against pluralism remain significant obstacles. This study underscores the importance of strengthening multicultural education, providing teacher training, and leveraging technology to support more inclusive and tolerant learning practices. Consequently, Islamic education holds great potential to cultivate a young generation that is tolerant, empathetic, and committed to preserving harmony in a diverse society.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the management practices implemented by the Khulafaur Rasyidin caliphs in the process of codifying the Quran, from the perspective of modern management science. The background of this study focuses on the importance of understanding the managerial strategies used by early Islamic leaders in the context of managing resources and information that were crucial at that time. The method employed in this research is descriptive qualitative, utilizing a literature review approach. Data collection techniques were conducted through literature studies and documentation, allowing the researcher to gather relevant information from various sources. Data analysis was performed using descriptive analysis, aimed at describing and explaining the findings obtained. In this study, the management theory used is George R. Terry's theory, which emphasizes management functions such as planning, organizing, executing, and supervising. The results indicate that the Khulafaur Rasyidin caliphs applied very good and effective management in the codification of the Quran, which aligns with the principles outlined in Terry's theory. This reflects their ability to manage resources and information to achieve greater goals in the dissemination of Islamic teachings. Thus, this research provides new insights into the integration of classical and modern management, as well as emphasizes the importance of a systematic managerial approach in the context of Islamic history.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the influence of religion on curriculum design and the identity of educational institutions. In the context of religious-based education, curriculum design does not only focus on the development of academic knowledge but also on shaping the character of students in accordance with the values of the religion followed. This research uses a qualitative approach with a library research method, examining literature related to the application of religious teachings in curricula and educational cultures at various religious-based educational institutions. The results show that the integration of religion in the curriculum produces a holistic educational approach that connects spiritual and intellectual aspects in the learning process. Furthermore, the identity of educational institutions is greatly influenced by the religious values applied in the curriculum, distinguishing these institutions from general education institutions. The influence of religion is not limited to the teaching of religious subjects but also affects the approach in other subjects, creating an educational environment that reflects religious values. This study also found challenges in integrating religion into curricula in pluralistic environments, which requires an inclusive approach that respects diversity. Therefore, it is essential for religious-based educational institutions to design a balanced curriculum that considers religious values while remaining open to cultural and religious diversity in the classroom.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of religious considerations in educational policies within a multicultural society, focusing on how educational policies can accommodate religious and cultural diversity in communities with different social and religious backgrounds. Multicultural societies face challenges in creating educational policies that can fairly include all religious groups, without prioritizing one religion or culture over others. Therefore, this research focuses on how educational policies can be structured to create an inclusive education system that is sensitive to religious diversity. The study uses a library research method, collecting and analyzing relevant literature on religious education policies in multicultural countries such as Indonesia, India, and European nations. Through this approach, the author explores information about the implementation of educational policies that consider religious diversity and their impact on social integration. The findings indicate that religious education policies, when properly designed, can be an effective tool to strengthen tolerance and social integration in multicultural societies. However, to achieve this goal, policies must carefully consider the rights of minority groups to prevent discrimination. Educational policies should also undergo regular evaluations and adjustments to ensure inclusivity and equality for all religious groups in education.

Abstract

The integration of Islamic moral values into mathematics education aims to create a balance between faith and logic, ensuring that learning is not solely focused on intellectual aspects but also on the development of noble character. This study seeks to explore the impact of this integrative approach on students' learning motivation, conceptual understanding, and moral value formation.Integrating Islamic values into mathematics education is challenging due to teachers' limited understanding of the connection between these values and mathematical concepts, insufficient resources, and students' lack of perceived relevance, which affects motivation.Time constraints and the need for institutional support further complicate this integration.Solutions include professional training for teachers, development of relevant materials, collaboration among educators, innovative teaching methods like project-based learning, and community involvement. Regular evaluations and feedback can enhance teaching strategies, fostering a generation that is academically skilled and morally grounded. The findings indicate that incorporating Islamic values such as honesty, justice, and responsibility into mathematics education enhances students' awareness of the real-life relevance of mathematics. Teaching methods such as case studies, project-based learning, and group discussions that link mathematics to Islamic values, such as zakat calculations and resource management, train students to think critically and make decisions based on ethical principles. Moreover, collaboration between mathematics teachers and Islamic education (PAI) teachers is a key factor in creating meaningful learning experiences. Despite challenges like additional time required for material preparation, this approach proves effective in shaping a generation that is not only academically proficient but also morally upright.
