Abstract

This study aimed to enhance students' understanding of mathematical concepts in Grade III at SDN 3 Menduran by implementing the Snowball Throwing cooperative learning model. It employed a qualitative descriptive research design. The population consisted of all 16 Grade III students at SDN Menduran. Research instruments included essay tests and interviews. Test results were analyzed based on concept comprehension indicators. The research findings indicated that the overall qualification score for mathematical concept comprehension among the 16 tested students was 75%, which falls into the high category. This signifies an improvement from an initial comprehension level of only 44%. Students demonstrated positive qualification scores in specific indicators of mathematical concept comprehension. They exhibited high levels of understanding in several indicators, such as restating a concept (81%), developing necessary or sufficient conditions of a concept (81%), and applying concepts or problem-solving algorithms (94%).Indicators needing further attention included classifying objects according to their concepts, which scored low (50%). The indicator of providing examples and non-examples of concepts and presenting concepts in mathematical representations were moderate (75%). In conclusion, this research suggests that the Snowball Throwing cooperative learning model effectively enhances Grade III students' understanding of mathematical concepts at SDN 3 Menduran.

Abstract

The research aims to improve the mathematics learning outcomes of class II students at SD IT Bina Ilmi Lemabang by using multiplication board media. This type of research is Classroom Action Research. The research subjects were 26 grade II students at SD IT Bina Ilmi Lemabang. This research was conducted in 2 cycles. Data collection was carried out by observation and tests. Data analysis was carried out descriptively. The research results showed that there was an increase in the average value of the pre-cycle, cycle I and cycle II. In the pre-cycle practice, there were 5 students or 23.09% who passed the KKM and with an average of 59 in Mathematics. In the first cycle remedial practice, there were 18 students or 69.22% who passed the KKM and with an average Mathematics 79. Meanwhile, in the second cycle of practice, there were 24 students or 92.31% who passed the KKM and with an average of Mathematics 89. It can be concluded that the use of multiplication board media can improve the mathematics learning outcomes of class II students at SD IT Bina Ilmi.

Abstract

This research is based on obtaining observational data which shows the learning outcomes of grade 2 students at SD Negeri 1 Cicapar in mathematics learning who have not achieved optimal goals as expected. In response to these findings, researchers carried out classroom action research with the aim of increasing students' understanding of learning. This research aims to determine the effect of using teaching aids on the understanding of number counting operations material for class II students at SDN 1 Cipapr. The research was carried out in class 2 of SDN 1 Cipapar with a total of 25 students. Data collection was carried out by observation and tests. The research results obtained show an increase in understanding in each cycle. Students' learning progress is in achieving good grades in cycle 1, getting an average score of 60 and an average score of 80 in cycle 2 with a completion percentage of 90%. The results of the above research using mathematics teaching aids can improve the understanding of number calculation operations for class II students at SDN 1 Cipapar.

Abstract

The problem with this research is the poor student learning outcomes and the lack of teachers using visual aids. This study seeks to improve the learning outcomes of class III students at SDN Pinang 5 Tangerang City studying mathematics using teaching aids that focus on concrete objects. This study includes an action study in class, conducted on students at SDN Pinang 5 class III. Research II was carried out in two cycles. Planning, explaining, practicing, and reflecting on action are the four steps in each cycle. After this research was conducted, the following findings were produced. Student learning outcomes are getting better. after the teacher uses concrete object props; This was proven in the first cycle with 32 students who had a score below 70 and 20 students with a score of more than 70 in the 12th completion and the level of students who achieved a score of more than 70 increased in the second cycle to 31 students with a score of more than 70 (96.875) . In conclusion, the use of a method that uses concrete object props can improve the mathematical abilities of class III students at SDN Pinang 5 on the subject of fractions.

Abstract

This research began with the low mathematics learning outcomes of students and their lack of engagement in learning. The study aimed to enhance mathematics learning outcomes related to addition operations using the demonstration method and ice cream stick media among Grade I students at SDN Kalisari 05. This type of research was a classroom action research consisting of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects were 32 Grade I students from SDN Kalisari 05. The research was conducted over two cycles. The data showed an improvement in students' mathematics learning outcomes in solving addition operations in each research cycle. Initially, students' learning outcomes reached 28% of the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM) in the pre-cycle, then increased to 53% in Cycle I, and continued to improve to 87% in Cycle II. It was concluded that the application of the demonstration method and the use of ice cream stick media were effective in enhancing mathematics learning outcomes regarding addition operations in Grade I at SDN Kalisari 05.

Abstract

The student data processing application at AMIK Bina Sriwijaya Palembang is designed to increase efficiency and accuracy in managing academic information. This application was developed using Microsoft Visual Basic, which provides an intuitive and easy-to-use graphical user interface. This system includes various features for managing student data and reporting. Currently, archival or bookkeeping student data processing still uses manual methods. Therefore, we need a student data processing system that can collect data and manage data so that it can be done quickly, efficiently and accurately. Creating a student data reporting system is carried out by collecting data, analyzing data, designing the system, and implementing the system. With this application, it is hoped that student data processing will be more efficient and can be monitored easily by lecturers and by the center. Using Microsoft Visual Basic as a development platform provides several benefits, including easy integration with Microsoft Access databases, ease of use for developers, and the ability to produce responsive desktop applications. The implementation results show that this application is able to reduce the time required for the administration process. With this system, it is hoped that the academic administration process at AMIK Bina Sriwijaya Palembang will become more efficient, accurate and well organized, so that it can support institutional goals in providing quality educational services.

Abstract

Mathematical creative thinking involves using diverse ideas to solve problems, generating unique solutions, and developing high-level cognitive skills. The purpose of this research is to describe the mathematical creative thinking ability of students of SMAN 1 Bantur Malang by using indicators consisting of three indicators, including (a) fluency, (b) flexibility, and (c) novelty. This research method is descriptive qualitative with the research subjects are 20 grade X students. Data collection was done through tests and interviews. The instruments used in this study were two questions about exponent material. The results of the analysis show that the potential of students' mathematical thinking and students' creative thinking is still not optimal. The percentage of students who can fulfill the fluency indicator is 50% which is in the low category, while the percentage of students who can fulfill the flexibility indicator is 25% and the novelty indicator is 5% which is in the very low category. The lowest indicator that can be fulfilled by students is the novelty indicator, while the highest indicator that can be fulfilled by students is the fluency indicator.  Teachers are advised to familiarize students with solving problems that have different answers and ways/strategies of solving them so that creative thinking skills can be trained.

Abstract

The application of the discovery learning model to junior high school students in central and peripheral angles to determine students' mathematics learning outcomes. The method used is a qualitative case study in terms of the problems that arise. This research was applied to 8th grade students at El-Qiss Bimbel Foundation located in Segaran Village, Malang Regency. The research subjects were taken as many as 5 students who were selected based on the highest improvement in students' mathematics learning outcomes. The discovery learning model was chosen because this learning model can encourage students to be independent in learning and more active during the learning process, especially in solving mathematical problems contextually in order to improve students' learning outcomes. The data collection process in the form of observations and interviews was conducted to gather information in the early stages of the research. Data collection in the form of pre-test and post-test was conducted before and after the application of discovery learning. The pre-test and post-test questions were 5 essay questions on the topic of central angle and circumferential angle of the circle. It was found that the application of the Discovery Learning model succeeded in improving students' learning outcomes and understanding of the central and circumferential angles. Students who are actively involved in the learning process with Discovery Learning tend to have a deeper understanding and are useful for improving students' mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

Based on observations and interviews at school, the information obtained in learning activities has not used Learner Worksheets (LKPD), which are related to everyday life. This study analyzes the importance of developing Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) based LKPDs on learning Flat Side Spaces in class VIII MTsN 1 Solok. This type of research is development research with the Plomp model. The Plomp model has three phases: preliminary research, prototyping, and assessment. This research is at the preliminary research stage, namely preliminary analysis in the form of needs analysis, curriculum analysis, analysis of learner characteristics, concept analysis, and literature review analysis. Data is generated from observations and interviews with educators and students. From the analysis of the need to develop RME-based LKPD based on learning about flat-side space buildings materials.

Abstract

The problem in this research is the number of students who get grades below the KKM in science lessons at UPT SD Negeri 064985 Medan Helvetia. The low student learning outcomes are due to the delivery of learning material still using the lecture method and not using interesting learning media. This research aims to improve student learning outcomes in science learning in class V by applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. Through this PBL model, students are given the opportunity to solve problems independently. This research includes classroom action research (PTK) which was carried out in 2 cycles. The instruments of this research are tests made by the teacher, observation sheets consisting of teacher activities and student activities, group assignments and documentation. The findings of this research are that the application of the problem based learning model can improve the activities and learning outcomes of fifth grade students in science subjects. It can be seen that in cycle I the average class score reached 71.3 and students who achieved the KKM was 67.86%. In cycle II the average class score reached 86.48 and students who achieved the KKM was 89.29%. Thus it can be concluded that the application of the problem based learning model is effective in improving student learning outcomes in science subjects for class V students at UPT SD Negeri 064985 Medan Helvetia.
