Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of profitability and inflation on firm value in food and beverage sub-sector manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period 2019–2023. Profitability is measured using Return on Assets (ROA), while firm value is measured using Price to Book Value (PBV). The research employs a quantitative approach with a purposive sampling method, resulting in a sample of 22 companies. Data analysis was conducted with the help of SPSS Version 20. The partial test results show that the profitability variable (X1) has a negative and significant effect on firm value (PBV), as indicated by a significance value of 0.000, which is smaller than the α level of 0.05, and a t-value of -42.681, which is greater than the t-table value of 1.97190. The partial test results also indicate that the inflation variable (X2) has a negative and significant effect on firm value (PBV), as shown by a significance value of 0.000, which is below the required significance level of 0.05, and a t-value of - 77.227, which exceeds the t-table value of 1.97190. Simultaneously, profitability (ROA) and inflation have a significant effect on firm value (PBV).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of burnout among nurses at the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) of Subulussalam City. Burnout is a condition characterized by emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and reduced personal accomplishment, often experienced by healthcare workers due to high workloads and psychological pressure in performing their duties. This research employed a quantitative descriptive approach, involving 50 nurses selected through purposive sampling techniques. Data were collected using a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability, with a Cronbach’s Alpha value of 0.897 indicating a reliable instrument. The results revealed that the level of burnout among nurses at RSUD Subulussalam City was in the moderate to high category, with emotional exhaustion being the most dominant component. Contributing factors to burnout include heavy workloads, shift work systems, and the significant responsibility for patient safety. These findings are consistent with the theory of Maslach and Jackson (1981), which states that professions requiring intensive human interaction, such as nursing, are highly prone to burnout. Therefore, it is recommended that the hospital management improve work stress management, provide psychological support, and implement effective supervision to maintain nurses’ mental well-being and enhance the quality of healthcare services.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of reviews through perceived quality and price on purchase orders among Skintific cosmetic consumers in Johan Pahlawan District. The research is motivated by the growing influence of consumer reviews in shaping perceptions and purchase decisions, especially among young consumers who are active on social media. This study employs a quantitative research method with an associative approach. The population consists of all Skintific consumers in Johan Pahlawan District, with a sample of 100 respondents selected through a survey using a Likert-scale questionnaire. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 27.0, including validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, path analysis, and the Sobel test to examine mediation effects. The results show that reviews have a positive and significant effect on perceived quality, price, and purchase orders. Furthermore, both perceived quality and price have positive and significant effects on purchase orders. The mediation test results indicate that perceived quality and price partially mediate the relationship between reviews and purchase orders. Therefore, consumer reviews play a crucial role in enhancing quality perception, price evaluation, and purchase decisions regarding Skintific cosmetic products.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of brand image and product quality on consumer purchase intention of Be Rych Water in West Aceh Regency, both partially and simultaneously. The increasing competition in the bottled drinking water industry requires local companies to strengthen their marketing strategies through the development of a positive brand image and improvement of product quality to compete with national brands. This research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method by distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents who are consumers of Be Rych Water. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the SPSS version 26.0 program, accompanied by validity, reliability, and classical assumption tests to ensure data accuracy and consistency. The results show that brand image has a positive and significant effect on purchase intention, indicating that the stronger the brand image, the greater the consumer’s desire to purchase the product. Product quality also has a significant effect on purchase intention, where high-quality products can foster consumer trust, satisfaction, and loyalty. Simultaneously, brand image and product quality have a significant influence on purchase intention with an R² value of 0.873, indicating that 87.3% of the variation in purchase intention can be explained by these two variables, while the remaining 12.7% is influenced by other factors such as price, promotion, and personal preference. This study supports the theory of Kotler and Keller (2022), which emphasizes that brand perception and product quality are key determinants in shaping consumer purchasing decisions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of stress on the mental health of Generation Z workers in Sumatera Utara and Aceh Provinces, as well as to examine the role of vigor at work as a mediating variable and compare the results across the two provinces. This study used a quantitative approach with a survey method by distributing questionnaires to 544 Generation Z worker respondents in both provinces. The results were tested using SPSS software and statistically analyzed using path analysis and the Sobel test to examine the direct and indirect effects between variables and the mediating role of vigor at work. The results showed that in Sumatera Utara Province, stress had a direct negative effect on mental health (β = –0.165) and on vigor at work (β = –0.179), while vigor at work had a positive effect on mental health (β = 0.698). The indirect effect of stress on mental health through vigor at work was –0.125, bringing the total effect of stress on mental health to –0.290. The Sobel test yielded a Z value of –2.93 > 1.96 in absolute terms, indicating that vigor at work significantly mediates the relationship between stress and mental health in Sumatera Utara Province. In Aceh Province, the study showed that stress had no significant effect on mental health (β = –0.066) or vigor at work (β = –0.064), while vigor at work remained positive on mental health (β = 0.701). The indirect effect of stress on mental health through vigor at work was –0.044, with a total effect of –0.110. The Sobel test yielded a Z value of –1.06 < 1.96 in absolute terms, indicating that vigor at work did not significantly mediate the relationship between stress and mental health in Aceh Province.

Abstract

When making an investment, an investor will consider various factors, both internal and external. This study aims to determine the effect of return on equity (ROE) as an internal factor and exchange rates as an external factor on stock prices in the coal industry and coal production sub-industry listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2020-2024. This study uses a quantitative method with a panel data approach processed through the e-views 13 application through descriptive statistical testing, panel data regression model selection, and classical assumption testing. The test results indicate that the best model that can be used is the fixed effects model (FEM). Partially, ROE has no significant effect on stock prices, while exchange rates have a significant effect on stock prices. The independent variables influence the dependent variable with an influence of 88.66%. These findings indicate that exchange rate fluctuations play a role in influencing stock prices in the coal production sub-industry, while profitability performance as measured by ROE is not always a primary consideration for investors in determining investment decisions in the coal production sub-industry.

Abstract

This study looks at how small and medium businesses handle risks, using the example of AMEL COLLECTION in Bandung Regency. The research uses a descriptive qualitative method to find the main risks that could stop the business from running smoothly. These risks include problems with the market, marketing, operations, finances, and the workforce. Most of these risks are considered high, and they come from things like changes in customer demand during certain seasons, not having enough different products, poor use of digital marketing, not keeping good financial records, and not having enough workers. Using a risk matrix, the study shows that these issues need to be addressed right away. Suggestions to fix these problems include better online promotion, better control of inventory and sales, more organized financial reports, and hiring more trained employees. Managing risks well is important for making the business more stable and helping it grow in a sustainable way.
