Abstract

This research focuses on expressive speech acts in anime Gotoubun no Hanayome season 1. The aim of this research is to describe the forms of expressive speech acts uttered by the character Nakano Nino in the anime Gotoubun no Hanayome season 1. This research is a type of qualitative descriptive research with a descriptive approach. Data selection was carried out using the theory of John Searle (1979). Data was obtained using the note-taking technique and analyzed using the pragmatic matching method. The results of the research showed that there were 21 data of expressive speech acts, with details of 2 speech data with the meaning of sarcasm, 2 data of speech with the meaning of apologizing, 7 data of speech with the meaning of annoyance, 6 data of speech with the meaning of worry, 3 data of speech with the meaning of praising, 1 data of speech with the meaning of speech with the meaning of complaining. Based on the data found, it is known that the most frequently found data is data with the meaning of expressive speech acts of worry.

Abstract

The result of this research shows that there is phonological interference between Indonesian and Japanese by students of the Japanese Language Education Study Program, Undiksha. This research aims to identify the influence of the mother tongue, Indonesian on Japanese by using spoken Japanese text (phonology). Phonological interference was found to occur in nasal pronunciation, long vowels or “chouon”, pronunciation of post-alveolar consonants, additional phonemes, pronunciation of double consonants “sokuon”, and pronunciation of liquids. These results were obtained using Weinreich’s theory, which discusses language interference. The method used is the listening method with recording and note-taking techniques through the pronunciation of the text being read. The data analysis method used in this research is the matching method with the sorting technique.

Abstract

This study examines lexical cohesion through repetition in three selected poems from the anthology Aku Ingin Jadi Peluru by Widji Thukul. The aim is to identify the types, functions, and meanings of repetition as linguistic and rhetorical tools for conveying ideological messages and emotional expressions. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation and note-taking techniques and analyzed using the distributional method with the Immediate Constituent (IC) technique. The findings reveal three primary types of repetition: anaphora (28.57%), which emphasizes themes and personal reflection; mesodiplosis (14.29%), which highlights irony and alienation; and full repetition (57.14%), which reflects the poet's struggles and existential anxieties. These results demonstrate that repetition in Widji Thukul's poetry serves not only aesthetic purposes but also functions as a strategic tool for social critique and identity exploration. This study contributes to the field of lexical cohesion in Indonesian poetry and provides a foundation for further research on cohesion in other literary works.

Abstract

Deiksis sosial bisa menjadi alternatif jalan melihat kekhasan sebuah budaya. Masyarakat Jawa identik dengan masyarakat yang menjunjung tinggi sopan santun dalam bertutur dan berbahasa. Penelitian ini mengkaji masyarakat Jawa dalam menggunakaan referensi dalam menyebutkan nama orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan sumber data majalan berbahasa Jawa. Dalam mengumpulkan data penelitian, peneliti menggunakan teknik studi pustaka. Pemerolehan data dengan melalui tahapan membaca secara berulang-ulang sumber data yaitu pawarta dalam majalah Panjebar Semangat, mengidentifikasi kemudian dianalisis. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa deiksis sosial yang ada dalam masyarakat Jawa ada tiga bentuk yaitu sapaan dan kekerabatan, gelar dan jabatan dan sopan santun. Pada penelitian ini ditemukan lima fungsi deiksis sosial diantaranya yakni pembeda status sosial penunjuk kata sapaan, alat memperjelas kedekatan hubungan kekerabatan, pembeda tingkat status sosial masyarakat penunjuk gelar, pembeda status sosial seseorang berupa penunjuk gelar kebangsawanan, pembeda tingkat status sosial seseorang yang berdasar pada penyebutan jabatan, dan menjaga sopan santun berbahasa. Implikasinya penelitian ini agar komunikasi yang dibangun efektif setelah memahami penggunaan deiksis sosial.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang kajian bilingualisme pada mahasiswa Program tudi Sastra Inggris dalam diskusi kelompok berbahasa Indonesia. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk bilingualisme yang ditemukan dalam interaksi mahasiswa pada diskusi kelompok. Data penelitian ini berupa ujaran-ujaran yang mengandung fenomena bilingualisme. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik simak bebas libat cakap, peneliti hanya menyimak atau memperhatikan dengan seksama dan mendengarkan apa yang diujarkan oleh mahasiswa dalam diskusi yang diikuti rekam dan catat. Teknik tersebut digunakan untuk mendokumentasi dan mencatat setiap kalimat yang termasuk dalam kategori bilingualisme. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam diskusi kelompok ditemukan kalimat yang termasuk kategori bilingualism berupa campur kode antara Bahasa Inggris dan Bahasa Indonesia. Campur kode yang ditemukan pada diskusi kelompok mahasiswa berupa kata dan frasa serta pembentukan kata dari proses morfologis dari kedua bahasa tersebut.
