Abstract

The matrilineal culture in Minangkabau, West Sumatra, is a culture that is thick with emancipation values and the teachings of feminism. The matrilineal kinship system contains the importance of gender equality and justice, both philosophically and in terms of implementation. The change in the way of social responsibility is marked by the number of parents being put into nursing homes. Psychological conditions related to emptiness syndrome and self-significance in elderly women need to be analyzed. This study involved 40 elderly women who live in social institutions in West Sumatra. This study concluded that there was a significant negative relationship (P value = 0.011) between the meaning of life and emptiness syndrome, which was a -0.396 Pearson correlation.

Abstract

Smooth communication is an absolute factor that is needed in building a family and living a household life. Communication can be a means when someone wants to change the attitudes, opinions, or behavior of himself and others. Communication aims to help all family members express their feelings, such as feelings of happiness, sadness, desire to be heard, and the like. With good communication, various changes will be made, especially concerning family life. The success of communication in the family is also directly proportional to the harmony of the environment in this microsystem. If the communication between family members is positive, then the environmental harmony created is also positive, and vice versa. This study was conducted to provide an overview of the use of i-message techniques in forming positive communication patterns in a family. The research method used is a literature review. The results of the research conducted showed that the i-message technique helped build positive communication in the family. The application of this communication technique is carried out in the immediate family and extended family. In the immediate family, it is focused on communication between husband and wife, and both as parents and children (parenting), which is done by reducing the habit of you-message conversation and applying the three principles in Thomas Gordon's Parent Effectiveness Training Books. Then in big family communication patterns, it can be done by reducing you-message conversations and the suitability of time and conditions.

To test the validity of the measurement inventory, the researcher used Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) with Lisrel software. The result revealed that, in general, the Academic Resilience Inventory (ARI) by Samuel (2004) is significantly unidimensional, meaning it only measures the construct of the academic resilience inventory. However, in the result of CFA, the validity test known that item no.8 on the intelligence factor, item no. Forty on temperamental factors, items no. 2, 14, 25, 26, and 28 on social relations factors, item no. Three on the factor of family relations, item no. 6 on academic factors are invalid. Further psychometric properties analysis and education are described.

Data was collected using the Job Diagnostic Survey scale and the quality of work-life scale. The results of this study explained that the hypothesis is accepted where the significance value is p = 0.000, which meant that there was a relationship between job characteristics and the quality of working life of the village government. That is, the higher the job characteristics, the higher the quality of work life of the village governments. This study found that the job characteristics and quality of work life were in the medium category. The results also found that the quality of work life in the Banda Aceh village government was higher than that of the Aceh Besar village government. This is due to clear working hours and higher salaries, in addition to weekly supervision from the sub-district on the performance of the Banda Aceh village government.

Abstract

Inclusive education in Indonesia is designed for all learners, both "regular" learners and learners with special needs. Inclusive education also aims to facilitate students with special needs to be able to get along with peers in general by placing one educational environment together with "regular" students, so that it is expected to realize an educational environment that respects diversity and without discrimination. However, in its implementation there are obstacles that are not easy to face, both for inclusive schools and teachers who teach. The purpose of this research is to find out the obstacles faced by inclusive schools and teachers at the primary school level and also provide strategies that can be used to optimize inclusive education. The research method used is a qualitative method with a literature review approach. The results of the study show that some of the obstacles faced are the lack of special mentor teachers, the lack of teacher knowledge about students with special needs, the imposed curriculum, the school environment that is still not friendly for students with special needs, and so on. Teachers can use various models, strategies, media and learning resources that are tailored to the class. One strategy that schools can do is to bring in professionals to provide insight for all school members regarding students with special needs. One method or strategy that parents of children with special needs can do is to apply the TEACCH method. And for the government, the education office needs to coordinate internally, especially in the field of educators who can understand the concept and implementation of inclusion policies on an ongoing basis.
