Abstract

This study aimed to examine the validity of the Fluid Intelligence Test, constructed based on the Cattel-Horn-Carroll theory. There were two sources of validity used in this study, which were evidence based on the internal structure and evidence based on relation with other variables. Sixty-four items have been composed and tested to 242 people. The data was analyzed using confirmatory factor analysis technique and correlations technique to examine test validity. The result of this study showed that the prepared model worked quite well in describing the narrow abilities of fluid intelligence, as showed by the receipt of fit indexes accuracy of the model, such as Chi-Square value .42 (p = .518), Goodness Fit Index (GFI) = 1, and Rooted Mean Square Error (RMSEA) = .00. Similar result was also showed by its correlation with other variables, which are .717 (TIKI) and .606 (CFIT). This suggested that Fluid Intelligence Test has good validity.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh sikap terkait standar kecantikan terhadap perilaku makan yang tidak sehat pada remaja perempuan dengan dimediasi oleh ketidakpuasan tubuh. Standar kecantikan berupa bentuk tubuh yang kurus dan langsing sering diasosiasikan dengan perilaku makan yang tidak sehat, terutama pada remaja perempuan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dan partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah 203 remaja perempuan dengan rentang usia 12-18 tahun yang tinggal di Indonesia. Hasil uji bootstrapping menunjukan bahwa terdapat efek mediasi penuh ketidakpuasan tubuh pada pengaruh sikap terkait standar kecantikan terhadap perilaku makan yang tidak sehat pada remaja perempuan.

Abstract

Professional learning can help teachers to develop their knowledge and abilities to support their functions and roles as educators. However, studies show that most teachers in Indonesia have not been involved in continuing professional development. This study aims to describe the professional learning program that has been attended by elementary school teachers in Indonesia regarding classroom behavior management. The results of this study indicate that only some of the teacher participants stated that they had participated in a professional learning program on managing student behavior in the classroom. Organizers of the professional learning programs attended by teachers include the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, schools, universities, and other community members. Participants also shared about the benefits of these activities in managing student behavior in the classroom. The results of this study suggest the importance of implementing more professional learning programs that focus on managing student behavior in the classroom, which are designed effectively to have a direct impact on behavior management practices carried out by teachers in the classroom

Abstract

Communication and language are aspects that play a crucial role in a children's development. Autism spectrum disorder is a developmental disorder characterized by a lack of communication and language abilities in children. The prevalence of children with autism spectrum disorder is increasing every year, therefore early intervention is crucial. This study aims to describe the forms of intervention that can be implemented for children with autism spectrum disorder. The study used a literature review method in the form of journal articles from specific reference sources. The literature review yielded 15 journals relevant to the research topic, which is interventions that help in the development of communication and language skills in children in publications of at least the last 10 years. The forms of intervention identified are the picture exchange communication system, applied behavior analysis, visual media, developmental individual-differences relationship-based floortime, and storytelling. These forms of intervention can help children with autism spectrum disorder in developing their communication and language abilities

Abstract

The cognitive domain in Bloom's Taxonomy serves as a framework for categorizing educational goals, curriculum and designing assessments. After a journey of fifty years, Bloom was revised by Kratwohl and Anderson to produce (1) remember, (2) understand, (3) apply, (4) analyze, (5) evaluate, and (6) create. This study aims to describe the implementation of measurement through the cognitive domain. This study uses a quantitative approach, because this research approach can describe cognitive learning outcomes into numbers so that it is easy to analyze the data statistically. The subjects in this study were seventh grade students of SMP Iskandar Said Surabaya. The variable in this study is the cognitive domain. The method or technique of data collection is using the question method or in the form of a test. While the instruments used in this research are in the form of tests to measure the ability of the beginning or end of learning, and observations during the learning process. To measure the cognitive domain using a measuring instrument in the form of a multiple choice test. Where from the results of 40 cognitive questions given to seventh grade students of SMP Iskandar Said Surabaya in Indonesian subjects, 7 questions were retained, 18 questions were revised, and 15 questions were discarded.

Abstract

Challenging behavior is repetitive behavior that risks interfering with learning or involvement in prosocial interactions. Challenging behaviors are often shown by students and difficult to manage, such as: defiance and noncompliance, destruction, disruption, physical aggression, self-injury, social withdrawal, socially inappropriate behavior, stereotypes, and verbal aggression. One of the ways of good classroom management is through Tier 1 Positive Behavior Support (PBS) training. It is very necessary for students and teachers when they are in the school environment because it can create a conducive classroom atmosphere. Therefore, the researcher designed a Tier 1 PBS training program that focuses on the teacher’s ability to manage the classroom using a proactive strategy as opposed to a reactive strategy. The subjects of this training were seven teachers of Islamic junior high school in Central Java, Indonesia. The experimental design was conducted without using a control group and using pre-test and post-test for evaluation. The findings indicated that Tier 1 PBS training is effective in increasing the ability of teachers to use proactive classroom management strategies and reducing the use of reactive classroom management strategies.

Abstract

Kebijakan pendidikan inklusi dirumuskan berdasarkan prinsip kesetaraan agar anak berkebutuhan khusus dapat mengakses pendidikan sebagaimana anak normal lainnya di sekolah reguler. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengulas hambatan atau tantangan yang dihadapi dalam penyelenggaraan pendidikan inklusi di sekolah serta menjabarkan strategi yang dapat diaplikasikan untuk mengoptimalkan penyelenggaraan pendidikan inklusi. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan scoping literature review. Data diperoleh dengan meninjau beberapa situs database yakni Google Scholar, Research Gate, Science Direct, dan ERIC. Hasil dan kesimpulan penelitian menunjukkan tantangan atau hambatan yang dihadapi dalam penyelenggaraan pendidikan inklusi meliputi minimnya sarana penunjang pendidikan inklusi, terbatasnya pemahaman dan kompetensi yang dimiliki oleh para guru di sekolah inklusi, sistem kurikulum yang belum mengakomodasi kebutuhan ABK, stigma negatif dari masyarakat, manajemen dan sumber daya sekolah yang kurang memadai, dan lain sebagainya. Sementara itu, strategi yang dapat diterapkan untuk mengatasi hambatan implementasi pendidikan inklusi di sekolah antara lain dengan meningkatkan kualitas in-service training (INSET) kepada guru, menyediakan kurikulum inklusi, menyelenggarakan program awareness, school-based professional development programmes, family support, kontekstualisasi proses pembelajaran, keterlibatan pemerintah dalam penyediaan layanan dan fasilitas umum yang ramah bagi ABK, hingga kerjasama dan kolaborasi dengan stakeholders baik secara regional, nasional, maupun internasional. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi bagi dunia pendidikan khususnya psikologi pendidikan dengan menjabarkan apa saja kendala yang masih menjadi permasalahan dalam implementasi pendidikan inklusi di tingkat sekolah. Selain itu, berbagai strategi yang telah diuraikan dapat memperkuat konsep dan temuan dari penelitian sebelumnya, serta digunakan sebagai referensi atau bahan pertimbangan dalam membuat langkah intervensi yang tepat sesuai dengan karakteristik permasalahan yang dihadapi.

Abstract

Teacher self-efficacy (TSE) in classroom management is an important predictor of teaching practice, but there are limited studies on the application in Asian countries, particularly Indonesia. Therefore, this study aimed to describe psychometric properties of Classroom Management Efficacy scale in Indonesian version. Psychometric properties of the scale were evaluated using a total of 582 Indonesian teachers, who served as participants. The results supported a bifactor model with high internal consistency, showing that the scale could be psychometrically sound measure of TSE in classroom management in Indonesian version.

Abstract

Based on Circular Number 1 of 2020 concerning the Prevention of the Spread of Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) in universities, during the COVID-19 pandemic, leaders of State Universities (PTN) and Higher Education Service Institutions (LLDikti) were asked to adjust the implementation of the Tri Dharma College by conducting distance learning. Compared to the general population, university students are more vulnerable to mental health problems stemming from a pandemic due to the various changes taking place in the learning system. This study aims to determine whether student stress affects psychological well-being during distance learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research was conducted on students at public and private universities with a total of 273 respondents. The value of the coefficient of determination (R²) is 0.089, which means that the stress variable has an effect of 8.9% on the psychological well-being of students, while 91.1% comes from other variables not examined. It is also known that the regression coefficient value is -1.48, which states that for every 1% addition to the stress value, the psychological well-being value decreases by -1.481. Therefore, it is expected that students can take preventive steps so as not to experience stress during distance learning, because stress can be one of the causes of disruption of psychological well-being.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran kelekatan orang tua dalam regulasi emosi remaja akhir yang mengalami perceraian orang tua. Dalam konteks remaja, stabilitas emosional yang masih rendah dan pembentukan emosi yang belum matang sepenuhnya menjadi tantangan tersendiri, terutama saat menghadapi perceraian orang tua. Hubungan kelekatan antara orang tua dan remaja dianggap sebagai faktor kunci dalam pembentukan perkembangan sosial dan emosional remaja. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik purposive sampling pada 72 remaja akhir berusia 18-21 tahun. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kelekatan orang tua memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap strategi regulasi emosi expressive suppression, tetapi tidak signifikan terhadap regulasi emosi cognitive reappraisal. Implikasi temuan ini mengindikasikan kompleksitas hubungan antara kelekatan orang tua dan regulasi emosi remaja akhir yang perlu dipahami lebih lanjut. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi untuk pemahaman lebih lanjut tentang bagaimana perceraian orang tua memengaruhi mekanisme regulasi emosi pada tahap akhir masa remaja.
