Abstract

Homecoming, called "mudik" in bahasa, at Lebaran is a culture in Indonesia to visit the family at the hometmvn. Hence, it needs bigger transportation capacity than usual. Infrastructure planning for all transportation mode needs the prediction of travelers number, origin and destination of travelers, the utilization preference of all transportation mode, the distribution of travelers per day as the basic availability of transport infrastructure and the prediction of economic effects by the travelers to the local destination. Whereas, there was household survey at 6 big cities in Java Island i.e Jabodetabek (Jakarta, Bogar, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi), Serang, Bandung, Semarang, Yogyakarta, and Surabaya as the origin of travelers to five provinces destination within Java Island (excluded DKI Jakarta) and outside Java Island. The result of survey analysis from 34.3 million citizen at big cities in 2010 with 6,580 household samples which consist of 22,949 respondents found that 23.9% travelers, using cars 27%, buses 40%, motorcycles 14%, trains 12%, ships 1 %, airplanes 3%, and others 3%. The peak time of travelers held on the first, second, and third day before Lebaran and the seventh day after Lebaran. The economic effects from the travelers of five provinces approximately three trillion from the travelers.Keywords: travelers, transportation and lebaran economic

Abstract

T7te usage of aging aircraft is nwre widespread in deueloping countries such as Eastern Europe,Africa, LJ:ztin America and central Anzerim and Indonesia. T7ze reason is that tltere is an interestingoffer of cooperation from big companies wlw want to pluzse out its fleet of aging aircraft as well as inthe 1990s when Lutftuznsa offered offset to IPTN as pm;o!f tlte purchase of 23 8737-200 aircraft.Actually operating tlte aircraft B-737-200 should be installed Huskit to meet new regulations. Huskitinstallation cost approximately US$ 1 million per machine unit. So for tlte type of B-737 series 200twin-engine will cost US$ 2 million per aircraft unit, not including losses from loss of use Huskitinstallation ti1ne.Until now, in Indonesia is still operated type of aging aircraft such as B-700-200, MD-80, MD-82and MD-90. Freight fernJ fleet has an important roe in launching the economic wheel. For that reason, the level of.ship safety would need to be nuzintnined. But in recent years are still often the case calamihJ befallingthe fernJ fleet. In accordance with kind of descripti'ue, this study prauides a clearer picture about thehandling of motor vehicle in the fleet of fernJ transport. Prinuzn1 dntn and infomuztian obtained underdirect obseniation to the boot fernJ transport.Tiiere are Parious factors thnt become the azuse of tlze accident or fire on board of the fernJ transport,including handling of ziehicles that are transported on the ship does not comply with regulations. It isslumm that the placement of motor ziehicles an fern/s deck is not yet unorganized. Space around theramp door location should be clear, but it was still loaded with drums, tliere is also a ramp door thatshould be tight closed, but now it was still slumm space wide enoughTiiere fore, to en[umce the safety of ships in their operation, niles enforcement needs to be appliedstrictly, it's tinie to apply las/zing system on each fem; in any condition. BPPT's Boeing Jet.foil ziessel of Nyi Ageng Sernng (BJ-NAS) /ms recently been lmjng dawn in a riverbank of Indonesian Nmry territon1 in Belmmn, Medizn and not yet been in operation anynwre due toboth engine failure and hull leakage. 11re ziessel condition itself /ms been getting worse since the repairprocess has been facing difficulties in getting engine's spare parts. To cape with this problem, it hasbeen proposed 3 (Three) transfer technique alternatives to bring this vessel back to her home base inPT. PAL Surabm1a. 11wse alternatives are firstly, the ziessel would be laid doz1m on the barge and thenpulled btj tugboat, secondly, the ziessel would be mrried btJ LCT vessel and thirdl.y, the z~ssel wouldbe tied up in the port side of tugboat along the wm1 to Surabm;a.
