The traffic in front of the station must be able to ensure the comfort and safety of users of the station. Lempuyangan stations pass over by some type of economic train such as Logaya, Frago, Kahuripan, Night Train South Gayabaru, Bengawan, Pasundan, and Sri Tanjung. This study aimed to determine the condition of traffic in front of Lempuyangan station in Yogyakarta as one of the train station for economy class. In order to organize the traffic in front of the station that can be well integrated. From the analysis using SPSS 17.0 software and Microsoft Excel acquired a picture of the number of passengers using the station Lempuyangan increased by approximately 20% each year. While the average total daily passengers in the station's Lempuyangan number 2800 in 2010. At the peak hours there are 3310 pcu vehicles passing over the street in front of Lempuyangan Station. Based on the degree of traffic saturation which reached 1.37 in the area in front of the station Lempuyangan, it can be concluded that traffic conditions during peak hours with the release side friction along the station area is very crowded and reach over its traffic saturation, therefore traffic management and regulation are needed. Keywords: Management, traffic, Station Lempuyangan

Abstract

The tremendeous intensity of export/import activity using containers in Indonesia should be an opportunity to support economic development and improve public's welfare. In fact, it was hampered by the high logistics costs. This phenomenon's correctly proven by a periodic national logistics performance survey conducted by The World Bank, Logistics Performance Index (LPI). In 2010, World Bank ranked Indonesia in position 75 out of 155 countries, which is one of these performance considerations is the cost of shipping, that has put Indonesia at rank 80. Referring to the ESCAP model port tariff structure, the port tariff structure of Tg. Priok's divided into four sections. They are navigation, berth, cargo operations and other business. Compared to Port of Melbourne's tariff, Pelabuhan Tg. Priok even regulates a lower rate of tariff Based on interviews and observations, the detenninant factors causing high cost of logistics are: (i) illegal fees, mostly caused by inadequacy of infrastructure, red-tape bureaucracy, insufficient and less-regulated standard operating procedures, the absence of rotation mechanism and exclusive authority without supervision; (ii) the surcharge; and (iii) induced cost of unpredictability delivery process. Keywords : Handling costs, Tariff, Container

Abstract

Indonesian archipelagic country geographically provides a tremendous endowment. Therefore, sea transportation is important in the nation life and the national economic development. Building and developing of sea transportation service network continues to be encouraged until the optimal level of service for the community has been achieved. Wide service network could be better accomplished whenever supported by a safety and security of shipping system and conducively as possible to avoid maritime pollution. The development of sea and coast guard fleet in supporting safety and security systems at ports and sea waters as well as the prevention of marine pollution to be carried out by developing them fleet that capable to synergize with other relevant agencies. Law on Shipping (No 17/2008) expressed the need for unification of related agencies in order to be able performing its duties and functions to enforce the law in safety and security of shipping. Supporting of its fleet to be one important part for the smooth of those duties and functions as mandated by the shipping law. An analysis to be done accordingly through some variables that are included in several aspects like human resources, facilities, infrastructure, and range of territorial waters. Its result shows that improvement on several variables in each aspect are still needed so that performance of sea and coast guard fleet could be improved and able to provide maximum service while carrying out its duties and functions. Keywords: development of sea and coast guard fleet, ship safety and security.

Abstract

Ship is one of the marine transportation of interest many people. Advantages of ships as a means of sea transport are cheap, safe, economical land and capable of carrying passengers or goods in large quantities, making the ship as a means of transport required by the comm uni hj, especially the lower middle income communities. But in reality, the ministry of economy class passenger ships are not as good as any other commercial grade. The study was conducted to observe the operational performance of ships as a means of crossing, which is one of effective tools and efficient transportation in Tanjung Pinang and surrounding areas. Assessment method used is surve1J method with random manner, to distribute questionnaires to passengers ships used as a sample. Sampling is done in non-random sampling, where samples were taken only at the majority of passengers at random. Questionnaire method used is measurement of the attitude of respondents using semantic difference scale. On this scale respondents were asked to evaluate several variables, where each variable there are seven points with the left boundary and right boundary contains an adjective meaning the opposite. While data analysis using Multiattribute Attitude Model (MAM). Multiattribute Attitude In this model, the attitude of the respondents can be seen in the order of importance of each variable. From this study showed that in the operation of ships as a means of crossing with the performance variables of the availability of advanced types of transportation at the port, transport capacity, condition of existing facilities in the ship, less satisfacton;. Variable travel schedule as a means of crossing vessels was satisfactory. For the variables of travel speed, the cost of travel, smooth operation, service personnel, timeliness of departure/ arrival passengers satisfactory, while the variable passenger safehj is very satisfying journey. So generally service ships in the Port of Tanjung Pinang quite satisfying passengers. Keywords : Ships, multiattribute attitude models.

Abstract

Safety and Security in Airports flight something that should not be ignored. To anticipate a situation that allows the occurrence of accident and incident, the airport operator and all units of the organization that is the environment of the airport should be able to identify hazards I problems based on events that never happened. The survey was conducted in Supadio Airport towards the application of hazard identification and safety risk management, using the method of comparative analysis and evaluation to make mengukuran of 13 variables. Based on measurements of 13 variables, obtained by 3 variables included in the criteria can not be accepted on condition that there is, namely a foreign object variable that has the potential to cause damage to the aircraft (foreign object damage 4.B), the variable things that can disrupt flights (obstacle 4.B), and variable in Apron vehicles (vehicle in Apron 5.C). Two criterion variables risk control/ mitigation requires a management decision that is, variable Noise (noise 5), and variable Security Issues (security issues. 2A). This value indicates that the 3 variables are included that are essential for risk reduction targets. Keywords: Airports, Safety Management System, hazard identification, safety risk
