JUNIOR is a journal that aims to bring together the global early childhood community to facilitate the exchange of research knowledge. The aim of this journal is to contribute to scientific debate and research in the field of early childhood practice in early education and care. Articles published in this journal have a primary focus on children aged from birth to eight years. JUNIOR publishes primarily empirical research reports but also accepts research reviews, including systematic literature reviews. JUNIOR accepts articles that use both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, draw on disciplinary knowledge from education and across the social sciences, and include research conducted in low- and middle-income countries. JUNIOR has a strong applied focus and seeks articles that draw on policy implications and professional practice across national contexts. The journal also publishes essays and book reviews that focus on early childhood.

Abstract

Finding out how calistung abilities relate to kids' preparedness for kindergarten B primary school in Seluma Kota District, Seluma Regency, was the aim of this study. This study used a correlational quantitative approach. The population amounted to 168 people and the sample taken amounted to 42 children with sampling techniques using proportional cluster sampling. A questionnaire served as the method of data collecting. Product moment correlation is the analytical method used to analyze research data. The average value in the low group was 2.516, according to the data. There is a strong correlation between preparation for entry into primary school and calistung abilities. This is based on the Pearson product moment significance test which is obtained from a significance value of less than 0.05 (0.306 < 0.05) so that Ha is accepted. It is suggested to future researchers to use different factors such as parents' perceptions of literacy skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between parental attention to prosocial behavior of group B children at PAUD Segugus Kembang Sepatu Muara Bangkahulu Subdistrict, Bengkulu City. This research is a correlational research. The population used in this study was 142 children. The number of samples taken by random sampling cluster with a sample of 58 children and parents. The research data analysis was product moment correlation. The results showed parental attention from 4 sub-indicators (guidance and advice, supervision, giving rewards and punishments, and creating a conducive home) with an average value of 3.39 in the very high category and children's prosocial behavior from 4 sub (empathy, sharing, cooperation and care) with an average value of 3.23 in the high category. There is a significant relationship between parental attention and children's prosocial behavior. It is recommended that future researchers look for prosocial behavior factors with other factors including maturity, social status, education and mental capacity.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the effect of the number block media on the numeracy ability of group B TK Dharma Wanita Kedurang District. This study used a quantitative approach with the type of research True experimental with Pretest-posttest Control Group Design. The population in this study was  26 children of group B. Determination of the sample in this study using saturated sampling. The data collected by using observation and test methods. Data analysis techniques to test in this study using the t-test. Based on the analysis by using a t-test, the t count was (4,005) while the t table was (2.056), which means t count > t table. So based on these results, it concluded that HO can't be accepted and Ha is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of numbers media on the numeracy ability of group B children in Dharma Wanita Kindergarten, Kedurang District. It suggested that the teachers could follow up on the use of numbers media on early childhood numeracy ability and teachers should make other games that can also determine children's numeracy abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the differences in prosocial behavior of children aged 5-6 years in coastal and non-coastal areas of North Bengkulu Regency. By using a comparative quantitative research approach. The study population was 6 coastal sub-districts and 13 non-coastal areas in North Bengkulu and the sample used multistage sampling which had several stages, the first stage used cluster sampling techniques to select coastal sub-districts and non-coastal sub-districts in North Bengkulu Regency, the second stage used simple random sampling techniques used to select coastal and non-coastal villages, obtained a sample of 45 children. The data collection technique used a questionnaire. The research data analysis was Independent Sample T test. The results showed prosocial behavior from 5 sub-indicators (helping, cooperating, sharing feelings, acting honestly, and giving charity) in coastal areas with an average of 2.372 on low criteria, while non-coastal areas with an average of 2.41 on low criteria. There is no significant difference between the prosocial behavior of children aged 5-6 years in coastal and non-coastal areas of North Bengkulu Regency.

Abstract

This research aims to implement moral and religious values in early childhood. By using qualitative descriptive method. The research target comes from educators and education personnel at KB Gemilang Bengkulu City by looking at the habituation carried out by students and educators in the classroom. Data collection techniques are taken from observation, documentation and interviews. Technical implementation is carried out 15-20 minutes every day before the start of educational activities (primary observation) through lecture methods (explaining concepts), playing, telling stories, singing, modeling, role play, and traveling with material covering religious values such as the introduction of God. The results obtained through these routine activities can foster moral and religious values in early childhood.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze how technology-based learning uses tiktok at KB Labschool UNP Kediri. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. This study has a total of 11 children consisting of 5 boys and 6 girls. The instruments used by researchers are observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and descriptive qualitative conclusions using narrative as a description of the results of the conclusion. The conclusion of the results of this study is that technology-based learning using TikTok can effectively develop physical motor and social emotional aspects in children. Children's abilities are seen in the form of increasing self-confidence and performing in public.

Abstract

Business is an activity carried out by individuals or organizations to make a profit which includes the activities of production, buying, and selling of goods or services. The world's technical advancements have now ushered in the fourth industrial revolution. It has the effect of making nearly all human activity—including commercial activity—online or virtually possible. Business conducted online can be called e-business. One of the e-businesses is e-commerce, namely electronic trading that utilizes the Internet network. Cilok is a food product that is generally made from tapioca flour with a round shape like meatballs. with a chewy texture and is much in demand by the public, especially students. In compiling this scientific article the authors used a qualitative observation method. This study used a subjective methodology to collect information or data. This study's method of gathering data involved distributing a needs questionnaire to both the general public and students. This research aimed to meet the needs and desires of consumers satisfactorily and find out how the level of interest in the Cilok Wakwaw Seblak sauce.

Abstract

Indonesia is the country that produces the most bananas. This is because Indonesia's climate is very suitable for the growth of banana plants. Banana is one of the most important horticultural crops in the world because of their large production potential. Bananas have long been known as a delicious and nutritious fruit for health, for example as a remedy for diarrhea. Banana rolls are an entrepreneurial product made as a healthy snack today. Selpiban (banana rolls) is a product made from processed bananas that are flattened and then rolled and topped with toppings. This product is made from bananas that are ripe enough to have a sweet taste. The purpose of making banana rolls is as a healthy snack or snack that has high nutritional value, and to use bananas as a food ingredient which is quite popular among all ages, from children to the elderly. In its market segmentation , it targets all groups, from children, and teenagers, to adults, even the elderly. This food product is safe for consumption by all groups because it does not cause side effects. In addition, this rolled banana product from Slepiban has many benefits because it is made from premium ingredients that are rich in nutrients. However, more specifically, the slepiban market segmentation tends to be for children teenagers, and housewives. The reason is that this group prefers snack products such as banana rolls. Due to these considerations, this rolled banana product from slepiban will sell well among children and adolescents as well as housewives.

Abstract

This research aims to describe how Tunas Cahaya Kubu Raya Kindergarten teachers help children aged five to six years develop their fine motor skills.This research method uses descriptive qualitative. The subjects of this research were the head of the kindergarten and the Group B teacher at the Tunas Cahaya Kubu Raya Kindergarten. The data collection techniques used in this research are interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis carried out data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The technique for checking data validity is triangulation. The findings of the study demonstrate: 1. How to use resources, media, and procedures to support children's fine motor skill development while they carry out learning activities in order to ensure their success. The technique of assigning homework that helps kids improve their fine motor abilities is to provide them solo and group tasks that test their skills. Play techniques: Individual and group play activities using media and instruments like plasticine, ring cones, balls, etc. help kids improve their fine motor abilities. A learning activity carried out by teachers to develop fine motor skills in children aged 5-6 years. The suggestions in this research are that in delivering the material teachers use words that are easy for children to understand and that teachers can give tasks to children that can be done at home so that children's fine motor development can develop optimally.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in the ability to recognize colors in children aged 4-5 years using the experimental method in learning at Pembina Pontianak Timur State Kindergarten. The research procedure used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with two cycles. The data source for this study is the teacher and the data are interview result sheets, observations, documentation, and children's worksheets. The results of this study were obtained from learning planning by PAUD teachers to improve the ability to recognize colors using the experimental method including: formulating activity materials, plans for compiling learning materials, plans for learning approaches and methods, plans for learning tools and resources, and assessment of learning outcomes. The implementation of learning includes: carrying out pre-learning, carrying out openings, carrying out core activities, utilizing game materials, assessing the process, and closing learning. The results of children's achievements were in the Very Good Development (BSB) category using the experimental method with a rapid increase from Cycle I (30%) then increasing in Cycle II (83%).
