Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Islamic Religious Education (IRE) curriculum at RA Al-Fadliliyah Darussalam through field observations and comprehensive analysis of the curriculum's design, approach, objectives, materials, learning process, and evaluation. The results show that the implementation of the IRE curriculum at this RA has been carried out comprehensively and integratively, in accordance with the principles of early childhood education. The adopted curriculum design combines the Merdeka Curriculum, the CINTA-Based Curriculum, and pesantren characteristics, which focus not only on knowledge but also on the formation of morals and Islamic values.  The approach used is thematic-integrative and play-based learning, where religious values are internalized through daily routines, motor activities, games, stories, and projects. Flagship programs such as IQRA, prayer memorization, pesantren-based schools, and the adiwiyata curriculum demonstrate the institution's commitment to building religious character, love for the environment, and love for Indonesia. Overall, RA Al-Fadliliyah Darussalam has effectively implemented the PAI curriculum with consistent habits and a religious learning environment. Continuous evaluation also contributes positively to improving the learning design, so that this curriculum has had a positive impact on the religious and personal development of students.

Abstract

Digital transformation in the management of educational institutions has become an important necessity to improve the effectiveness of educational governance in the era of information technology development. This study aims to analyze the implementation of digital transformation in pesantren management through the application of the UQI Smart System at the Modern Islamic Boarding School Ummul Quro Al-Islami, Bogor. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis used an interactive analysis model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the UQI Smart System is an integrated information system that functions as a centralized database in managing administrative and information services within the pesantren. This system facilitates administrators in managing various institutional data more systematically and increases efficiency in data management. In addition, the system provides easier access to information for parents or guardians of students to obtain updates related to their children's educational development in the pesantren, such as financial administration information, online report cards, and various educational activities. The implementation of this system also supports improved transparency of information services and strengthens communication between the pesantren and parents. Therefore, the implementation of the UQI Smart System represents an innovation in the digital transformation of pesantren management that can enhance the effectiveness of governance in Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

Improving the quality of Islamic education in higher education institutions is a strategic necessity to produce graduates who excel in knowledge, character, and morals. However, research indicates that quality remains relatively low due to curricula that are unresponsive to modern developments, lecturer-centered teaching methods, and limited learning facilities. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the Islamic education curriculum and quality improvement strategies through a qualitative library research approach, analyzing scientific journals, academic books, and educational regulations. The results show that strengthening educational quality can only be achieved if the curriculum serves as an integrative axis coordinating teaching quality and facility provision. The resulting integration model consists of three pillars: competency-based curriculum revision, enhanced lecturer competence through interactive pedagogical innovation, and investment in technology-based learning facilities. These pillars form a holistic learning ecosystem to produce graduates who are scientifically competitive, technologically adaptive, and spiritually grounded. These findings confirm that curriculum reform must be accompanied by a transformation of pedagogy and infrastructure to meet contemporary needs without losing Islamic values.

Abstract

Social media has become an integral part of the lives of elementary school-aged children in Indonesia, with the majority introduced to it before the age of 13. This phenomenon raises concerns about the focus on Quran memorization, the foundation of early Islamic education. Through library research, this study aims to analyze the dual influence of social media on the Quran memorization process in elementary school-aged children (7-12 years old). The approach used involved a literature review of journals, proceedings, and recent academic sources, using descriptive-interpretive content and thematic analysis methods. The results revealed positive impacts, such as increased motivation through YouTube content and access to engaging, interactive educational materials. However, negative impacts were more prevalent, including decreased attention span, disruption of Quran memorization routines due to entertainment notifications, and significant time wastage. The study's conclusions emphasize the need for strict digital literacy regulations, collaborative supervision by parents and teachers, and structured integration of social media into the elementary Islamic education curriculum. These steps are expected to maximize benefits while minimizing risks, while filling the gap in a holistic analysis encompassing the cognitive, affective, and habitus dimensions.
