Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development of adaptive learning strategies for Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMA IT Annisa Kadungora, Garut. High school PAI faces challenges due to gaps in students' religious understanding driven by diverse educational and family backgrounds. Using a descriptive qualitative method, data were gathered through interviews and questionnaires with educational practitioners. The results reveal that effective strategies integrate digital ethics as a core contemporary issue, implement Problem-Based Learning (PBL) to stimulate critical thinking, and utilize TikTok as a creative da'wah reference. Furthermore, a communicative approach using non-formal language creates a "safe space" for students in their identity-seeking phase. These findings suggest that pedagogical adaptation and digital integration are essential for maintaining the relevance of religious education in the Gen-Z era.

Abstract

The management of a corpse is a collective obligation (fardhu kifayah) in Islam that must be performed in accordance with Islamic law. However, in practice, public understanding of proper corpse management remains limited and is often based on inherited traditions rather than religious guidelines. This condition may lead to improper practices in its implementation. This study aims to examine the level of community understanding regarding corpse management and to analyze efforts to improve such understanding through religious education programs. This research employed a qualitative approach using a descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of community members and local religious leaders. The findings indicate that the educational program significantly improved community understanding. Improvements were observed in knowledge, attitudes, and practical skills. The community demonstrated better understanding of bathing, shrouding, funeral prayer, and burial procedures in accordance with Islamic law.

This research study is limited to the form of one-way communication between educators and students in the formation of children’s characters in the novel Totto-Chan: The Little Girl in the Window. This study aims to describe the characters formed through one-way interaction patterns between educators and students in the novel Totto-Chan: The Little Girl in the Window. This research is a qualitative study with a content analysis approach and is descriptive. The results show that one-way interaction patterns in the novel are carried out through four forms, namely commands, explanations, directions, and advice. One-way interaction patterns contribute to the formation of characters of discipline, empathy, honesty, cooperation, independence, self-confidence, respect, curiosity, responsibility, and tolerance. Thus, one-way interaction patterns delivered directly and attentively can still form effective communication that can have an impact on the formation of children’s characters.

Abstract

The Community Service Program (KKN) is a form of student community service aimed at making a real contribution to social and educational development. One of the programs implemented was the "Gebyar Anak Sholeh" (Sholeh Children's Celebration) event, aimed at strengthening the religious character of early childhood and elementary school children in Teluk Melintang Village. This activity took place on January 18th from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM WIB at the Nurul Falah Mosque. Competitions included the call to prayer (azan) (14 elementary school participants), daily prayer memorization (15 elementary school participants), and mosque coloring (30 early childhood education participants). The daily prayer memorization topics included prayers for eating, prayers after eating, prayers for entering the mosque, prayers for leaving the mosque, prayers before going to bed, prayers for waking up, and prayers for both parents. The implementation method used a participatory approach through educational competitions combined with coaching and motivation. The results demonstrated high enthusiasm from the participants and increased self-confidence and understanding of children's daily worship practices. This program is effective in fostering children's religious character and can be replicated as a model for mosque-based educational activities at the village level.

Abstract

This study examines the effects of professional competence, work discipline, and work motivation on the performance of teachers at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri in the Riau Islands Province. The scope of this research focuses on analysing both the partial and simultaneous influence of these three variables in order to provide a comprehensive understanding of key determinants of teacher performance in Islamic secondary schools within an archipelagic context. The main objective of the study is to identify the extent to which professional competence, work discipline, and work motivation contribute to improving teacher performance. This study employed a quantitative research design with a correlational and explanatory approach. The population consisted of all teachers of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri in the Riau Islands Province, and the sample was selected using proportional sampling techniques. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analysed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results indicate that professional competence, work discipline, and work motivation each have a positive and significant effect on teacher performance. Furthermore, the simultaneous analysis shows that these three variables jointly explain a substantial proportion of the variance in teacher performance. The study concludes that integrated strategies to enhance competence, strengthen discipline, and increase motivation are essential for improving teacher performance and educational quality.

Abstract

Although the madrasah environment should be a place for internalizing moral values, practice shows that student behavior differs from educational goals. The influence of the madrasah environment on student morality is the subject of this study. A correlational quantitative method was used. Saturated sampling was used for the study population, which consisted of all grade XI students. Questionnaires, observations, and documentation tools were used to collect data. The validity and reliability of the questionnaire instruments were tested. Descriptive statistics, correlation tests, and simple regression were used to analyze the data with a significance level of 5%. The results of this study are that there is a significant influence on the influence of the madrasah environment on the formation of morality of grade XI students of MA NW Anjani. This can be seen based on the significance value of 0.000> 0.05 and the calculated t value of 35.145 and the t table of 3.39624. Based on the results of the analysis and data processing, it can be concluded that Ha is accepted, Ho is rejected. The results of the study indicate that the physical, social, and religious aspects of the madrasah contribute to students' attitudes, ethics, and moral behavior. To support sustainable and measurable character education in institutions, this study recommends that madrasa environments become more religious and consistent.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the New Culture Integration Process (NCIP) model in elementary schools resulting from regrouping in Gorontalo, focusing on four stages of integration: pre-merger, during-merger, post-merger, and cultural integration. A descriptive quantitative approach was employed involving all elementary schools resulting from regrouping in Gorontalo as the population. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics with five-category interval criteria. The findings reveal a consistent pattern of improvement across all implementation stages. The pre-merger stage achieved a score of 4.13 (high category) as an initial foundation, although weaknesses were identified in feasibility study (4.03) and benchmarking (3.84) indicators. The during-merger stage increased significantly by 0.15 points to 4.28 (very high category), with main strengths in resource management and leadership. The post-merger stage reached 4.33 (very high category), demonstrating organizational resilience with organizational values and leadership roles as primary contributors. The cultural integration stage maintained a score of 4.33 (very high category), indicating a plateau of excellence where integration quality stabilizes at an optimal level, characterized by sustained commitment, exemplary leadership, multi-level trust, strong togetherness, and efficiency in building communication. These findings validate the NCIP model design that each stage builds foundations for subsequent stages, with effective leadership as a key success factor. Recommendations include strengthening analytical capacity in pre-merger planning, developing sustainable leadership programs, and strategies for embedding culture into daily activities. Future studies may explore the longitudinal dynamics of cultural integration and develop early detection instruments for potential inefficiencies in merger planning.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the mechanism of the integration of the Al-Islam, Kemuhammadiyahan, and Arabic Language (ISMUBA) curriculum in shaping the professional work ethic of students at SMK Muhammadiyah Tasikmalaya. The main challenge for vocational school graduates today is the need for moral integrity and a work ethic that aligns with the demands of the industrial world. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a field study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation with research subjects including the Principal and Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers. The results show that the integration of the ISMUBA curriculum is implemented as a "spirit" that animates technical competencies through the synchronization of theological values with vocational practices. The formation of students' professional character is strengthened through spiritual habituation programs such as One Day Five Ayat (ODFA) to train accuracy, Duha Prayer for discipline, and Al-Islam Development Night (MPA) to organize work intentions as worship. In addition, students' independence and social intelligence are developed through the activities of the Autonomous Organization (Ortom) and the Lazismu Infaq Movement. This synergy has proven effective in producing graduates who are not only technically competent, but also possess strong moral integrity in accordance with the vision of "Progressive Islam".
