Abstract

This study examines the role of Tabu Gong Rede Geda music as a medium for cultural value transmission in Riangkotek Village, Flores Timur. Using an ethnographic approach, the research reveals that this traditional music serves not only as an artistic expression but also as a means of inheriting spiritual, historical, and social values through an observation-based mentor-apprentice system. Elders act as knowledge custodians, transmitting both musical techniques and the cultural meanings embedded in each performance. The patrilineal social structure and the strong role of customary institutions form the foundation for preserving Tabu Gong Rede Geda. This music functions as a cultural identity marker, a medium for communication with ancestors, and a reinforcement of social cohesion through values of togetherness, responsibility, and spirituality. To ensure its sustainability, strategies such as digital documentation, integration with formal education, and community empowerment are essential. These findings underscore the importance of balancing tradition preservation with innovative adaptation in safeguarding intangible cultural heritage in the era of globalization. Abstract

This study aims to explore the acquistion of English morphemes in English Foreign Language classroom at elementary school. The investigation is concerned with the identification, description, and interpretation of English morphemes acquired by 30 elementary students at SDK Ruteng I in Langke Rembong district. Therefore, descriptive qualitative research method mixed with quatintative approach were applied. a series of classroom observations, note-taking, and audio-recording were utilized to delve into more naturalistic data relating to form and pattern of morphemes. The data from the transcripts and field-notes were analyzed to capture the forms of morpheme as well as to identify frequency and patterns of English morpheme during the acquisition process in EFL learning context. The results of data analysis were displayed in matrix, table and chart, while conclusion drawing and verification were simultenously conducted at the final procedure. Verification of data was triangulized by comparing the data from recording and field-notes. The findings reveal that free and bound morphemes are acquired differently by students in learning English vocabulary. Free morphemes are predominantly acquired, especially in the categories of nouns and verbs, whereas bound morphemes are less frequently obtained. These findings indicate that the acquisition of morphological aspects follows a sequence, beginning with free morphemes and subsequently progressing to bound morphemes. Among bound morphemes, inflectional morphemes are acquired earlier than derivational morphemes. Abstract

Abstrak Subsistem parhyangan dalam sistem subak meniscayakan adanya ritual subak yang merupakan cikal bakal peradaban budaya Bali. Ritual subak merupakan serangkaian kegiatan transendental, sebagai bentuk penghormatan dan ucapan syukur kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa atas segala keberhasilan aktivitas pertanian pada lingkup organisasi subak. Penelitian ini sebagai bentuk desi­minasi etnopedagogi pendidikan karakter serta sebagai bentuk pelestarian budaya. Hasil yang didesiminasikan berupa analisis hermeneutika dan simiotika jenis-jenis ritual subak, dan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang terrepre­sentasikan dalam ritual subak. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan metode kualitatif analisis konsep interaktif. Peneliti menjadi instrumen utama, dengan berbantuan pedoman observasi dan wawancara semi terstruktur. Objek penelitian adalah rangkaian prosesi ritual subak pada beberapa subak di Bali yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Pengurus organisasi subak utamanya ketua dan atau beberapa petani subak menjadi subjek utama, dengan teknik pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan studi pustaka. Analisis data penelitian menggunakan teknik hermeneutika dan simiotika, dengan kegiatan berupa konseptualisasi, pembuktian, dan objektivikasi. Hasil penelitian menun­jukkan bahwa terdapat dua puluh satu jenis ritual subak. Setiap ritual subak merepresentasikan nilai pendidikan karakter baik secara filosofis maupun secara praktis. Hasil penelitian ini dapat diseminasikan dalam pembelajaran terutama melalui projek penguatan profil pelajar Pancasila dengan tema kearifan lokal. Kata Kunci: Sistem Subak, Ritual Subak, Pendidikan Karakter VALUES OF CHARACTER EDUCATION IN THE SUBAK RITUAL Abstract The parhyangan subsystem in the subak system necessitates the existence of the subak ritual which is the forerunner of Balinese cultural civilization. The subak ritual is a series of transcendental activities, as a form of respect and thanksgiving to God Almighty for all the success of agricultural activities within the subak organization. This research is a form of ethnopedagogical dissemination of character education as well as a form of cultural preservation. The results disseminated are in the form of a hermeneutical and symbiotic analysis of the types of Subak rituals, and the character education values represented in the Subak rituals. The research was carried out using the qualitative method of interactive concept analysis. The researcher becomes the main instrument, with the help of observation guidelines and semi-structured interviews. The object of the research is a series of subak ritual processions in several subaks in Bali which were selected using purposive sampling. The management of the Subak organization, especially the chairman and/or several Subak farmers, were the main subjects, using data collection techniques of observation, in-depth interviews and literature study. Analysis of research data uses hermeneutics and simotics techniques, with activities in the form of conceptualization, verification and objectification. The research results show that there are twenty-one types of Subak rituals. Each Subak ritual represents the value of character education both philosophically and practically. The results of this research can be disseminated in learning, especially through a project to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students with the theme of local wisdom. Abstract

Ketuk tilu sebagai seni pertunjukan tradisional Priangan mengalami transformasi signifikan dari ritual kesuburan agraris menjadi hiburan rakyat, menciptakan ruang negosiasi gender yang kompleks melalui interaksi ronggeng dan pamogoran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi representasi dan relasi gender dalam seni ketuk tilu serta menganalisis implikasinya terhadap praktik pendidikan dan dinamika sosial-budaya masyarakat Priangan kontemporer. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif berbasis studi pustaka, penelitian menganalisis sumber primer dan sekunder periode 2000-2025 melalui pendekatan hermeneutik dengan tahapan klasifikasi tematik, analisis kritis, interpretasi kontekstual, dan perumusan implikasi. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan ambivalensi simbolik ronggeng yang dihormati sebagai mediator spiritual sekaligus terstigmatisasi, dengan tubuh perempuan menjadi lokus kontestasi antara otoritas personal dan kontrol sosial. Elemen-elemen simbolik seperti selendang, gerak pinggul, dan struktur spasial pertunjukan merefleksikan konstruksi gender dalam masyarakat Sunda. Transformasi historis menunjukkan degradasi status ronggeng pada masa kolonial dan proses "domestikasi" pasca-kemerdekaan, sementara era kontemporer memunculkan reinterpretasi kritis yang menantang stereotip gender tradisional. Dalam konteks pendidikan, ditemukan kesenjangan pengintegrasian perspektif gender dalam kurikulum, meskipun muncul inisiatif inovatif berbasis komunitas yang mengembangkan pendekatan pembelajaran berperspektif gender. Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa ketuk tilu dapat menjadi medium strategis untuk menegosiasikan identitas gender dalam masyarakat Priangan yang bertransformasi, dengan rekomendasi pengembangan kurikulum pendidikan seni yang memasukkan analisis kritis terhadap dimensi gender serta kolaborasi lintas-sektor dalam revitalisasi seni tradisional yang lebih inklusif. Kata kunci: Ketuk Tilu, Ronggeng, Representasi Gender, Pendidikan Seni, Budaya Priangan Ketuk tilu as a traditional performing art from Priangan has undergone significant transformation from an agrarian fertility ritual to popular entertainment, creating complex gender negotiation spaces through interactions between ronggeng (female dancers) and pamogoran (male dancers). This research aims to explore gender representation and relations in ketuk tilu art and analyze their implications for educational practices and socio-cultural dynamics of contemporary Priangan society. Using a qualitative approach based on library research, this study analyzes primary and secondary sources from 2000-2025 through hermeneutic interpretation with stages of thematic classification, critical analysis, contextual interpretation, and formulation of implications. Results reveal the symbolic ambivalence of ronggeng who are respected as spiritual mediators while simultaneously stigmatized, with the female body becoming a locus of contestation between personal authority and social control. Symbolic elements such as scarves, hip movements, and spatial structures of performances reflect gender constructions in Sundanese society. Historical transformation shows degradation of ronggeng status during colonial periods and "domestication" processes post-independence, while the contemporary era brings critical reinterpretations challenging traditional gender stereotypes. In educational contexts, gaps in integrating gender perspectives into curricula were found, although innovative community-based initiatives have developed gender-responsive learning approaches. This study concludes that ketuk tilu can serve as a strategic medium for negotiating gender identity in transforming Priangan society, with recommendations for developing arts education curricula that incorporate critical analysis of gender dimensions and cross-sector collaboration in revitalizing more inclusive traditional arts. Abstract

Studi ini menelaah peran Learning Management System (LMS) dalam memperkuat supervisi akademik. Supervisi akademik sangat penting untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dan capaian belajar siswa, namun pendekatan tradisional seringkali terkendala oleh keterbatasan waktu, beban kerja, serta praktik yang tidak konsisten. Integrasi platform digital menawarkan peluang baru untuk meningkatkan efektivitas supervisi. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metodologi interpretatif, penelitian ini mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara dengan kepala sekolah (n = 3) dan pengawas (n = 3) dari sekolah-sekolah yang telah mengadopsi LMS untuk supervisi. Hasil penelitian mengungkap lima tema utama: (1) tujuan pengembangan LMS, (2) perencanaan supervisi dengan menggunakan LMS, (3) pembangunan hubungan dalam supervisi virtual, (4) penilaian dan umpan balik, serta (5) tantangan implementasi. LMS terbukti memfasilitasi perencanaan supervisi yang fleksibel, memperkuat komunikasi, dan mendukung penilaian berbasis data, sekaligus menyediakan ruang virtual untuk kolaborasi. Selain itu, LMS meningkatkan pengembangan profesional guru melalui penguatan literasi digital dan praktik reflektif. Meskipun demikian, terdapat beberapa hambatan yang masih dihadapi, termasuk keterbatasan infrastruktur, konektivitas yang tidak stabil, serta perbedaan kompetensi digital di kalangan pendidik. Studi ini menekankan pentingnya pengembangan sistem yang berkelanjutan, pelatihan yang terarah, dan investasi kelembagaan untuk mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan LMS dalam supervisi. Temuan ini berkontribusi pada wacana inovasi pendidikan dan memberikan wawasan praktis bagi para pembuat kebijakan serta pimpinan sekolah dalam memajukan praktik supervisi yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study examines the linguistic landscape (LL) of food stall signage in Ruteng by analyzing the linguistic forms, typologies, and communicative functions embedded within bottom-up commercial signs. Grounded in LL theory and enriched by geosemiotic, mobility, and language ideology perspectives, the research employed a descriptive qualitative design to explore how language operates symbolically and informationally in everyday public spaces. Thirty-six food stall signs were collected through field observation and analyzed for their linguistic composition, spatial emplacement, and semiotic features. The findings reveal that Indonesian overwhelmingly dominates monolingual signage, reflecting national language policy and shared linguistic norms, while bilingual and multilingual signs incorporate regional languages, Arabic, and English to index ethnic identity, religious affiliation, cultural heritage, or aspirations toward modernity. All signs constitute bottom-up signage, highlighting individual agency and cultural creativity in shaping the local LL. Functionally, the signs perform both informational roles—such as conveying menu offerings and halal status—and symbolic roles, expressing identity markers, migration histories, and ideological values. Overall, the study demonstrates that food stall signage in Ruteng functions as a meaningful semiotic artifact that materializes the intersection of language, identity, and mobility in the public sphere, offering valuable insights into the sociolinguistic dynamics of multilingual Indonesian communities.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to analyze elementary school students' questions in science learning using the demonstration method. The design employed in this study is qualitative and descriptive. The research location is situated in SDI Tenda, Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province. The study's participants included 14 The subjects who participated in the study consisted of 143 fourth and fifth-grade students. The demonstration method was employed to facilitate science learning, with students and teachers engaging in collaborative learning activities. Furthermore, students were presented with videos containing demonstrations pertinent to the designated learning topic, specifically that of force. During the learning process, researchers obtained data by recording questions raised by students both verbally and in writing during the demonstration and by observing the video. These inquiries were subsequently analyzed to ascertain the types of inquiries that are adapted to the level of thinking in Bloom's Taxonomy. In addition to documenting students' inquiries, researchers obtained data through the conduct of interviews with classroom teachers and students. The findings of the study suggest that the inquiries posed by students during the learning process predominantly align with the cognitive domains of recollection, comprehension, and analysis. According to Bloom's Taxonomy, remembrance and comprehension are classified as lower-order thinking skills. Pedagogues must implement improvements in their instructional methodologies to facilitate the development of higher-order thinking skills in their students.

Abstract

Meningkatnya kunjungan wisatawan mancanegara ke Labuan Bajo menuntut tenaga profesional pariwisata memiliki kompetensi lintas budaya yang efektif, khususnya dalam penggunaan bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji strategi komunikasi lintas budaya yang digunakan oleh tenaga profesional pariwisata di Labuan Bako dalam melayani wisatawan dengan latar budaya yang beraneka ragam. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode wawancara semi-terstruktur terhadap pekerja hotel, restoran, dan agen perjalanan. Data dianalisis dengan mengelompokkannya pada tiga aspek yaitu pengetahuan (knowledge), tantangan (challenge), dan strategi (strategies). Hasil dari penelitian ini menarik sebab karena menunjukkan bahwa aspek pengetahuan komunikasi lintas budaya tidak lantas mengeliminasi tantangan di lapangan, sehingga mendorong munculnya berbagai strategi yang adaptif dalam penggunaan bahasa Inggris saat melayani wisatawan mancanegara.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji implikatur percakapan pada tuturan host dan narasumber podcast “Berbeda Tapi Bersama”. Podcast “Berbeda Tapi Bersama” menggambarkan proses komunikasi host dan narasumber dalam menyampaikan gagasan dan menanggapi pernyataan yang cenderung memiliki maksud tersirat. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis bentuk dan makna implikatur percakapan umum dan campuran dalam podcast “Berbeda Tapi Bersama” season dua pada kanal YouTube Noice. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori implikatur percakapan yang digagas Putrayasa, sekaligus hasil pengembangan teori implikatur Grice. Jenis penelitian ini kualitatif deskriptif. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah podcast “Berbeda Tapi Bersama” season dua. Peneliti mengumpulkan data menggunakan metode simak dan teknik catat. Data dianalisis menggunakan metode padan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat dua imlikatur, yakni implikatur percakapan umum dan implikatur campuran. Artinya, suatu diksi dapat dimaknai secara ganda, tergantung pada konteks umum ataupun khusus yang menyertainya.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze good practices in the implementation of Deep Learning among high school teachers participating in the Makassar City Class 1K Batch 1 Program, particularly in relation to the context of implementation, supporting factors, obstacles, and good practices that emerged in the learning process. This research was motivated by the education transformation program initiated by the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) through the South Sulawesi Province Teacher and Education Personnel Center, which promotes a learning paradigm oriented towards awareness, meaningfulness, and joy of learning. The research used a qualitative approach with a case study design and involved 33 teachers from 11 public and private schools. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation, which were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that deep learning is able to facilitate active student engagement through reflective discussions, problem solving, and collaborative activities. Teachers develop comprehensive lesson plans in the form of teaching modules that are aligned with learning objectives and outcomes. However, the implementation of learning faces obstacles in the form of time constraints, low student interest in reading, a learning orientation that is still focused on grades, diversity in initial abilities, and limitations in learning media. Nevertheless, there are good practices that show an increase in motivation, enthusiasm, and meaningful learning experiences for students. This study concludes that deep learning has significant potential to improve the quality of the teaching and learning process, but requires more systematic support through the strengthening of academic culture, the provision of learning facilities, and the continuous professional development of teachers. These findings can be used as a reference for policy makers and educational institutions in developing a more extensive and sustainable deep learning-based teacher training model.
