Abstract

Learning media has an important role in conveying teaching material. Without relevant learning media, the teaching material delivered will not be as expected. Innovation is needed in determining learning media so that it can provide a constructive, creative and enjoyable lecture atmosphere. This article is a conceptual study of the use of literary works as an alternative learning medium. The aim of this research is to explain how to utilize literary works in teaching the Guidance and Counseling course for Special Populations. The method used in this study uses a phenomenological perspective, namely conducting an analytical study based on teaching practices in the Special Population Guidance and Counseling course using literary media. Observations made using literary teaching media are used as a basis for writing conceptual studies. The results and recommendations given are to utilize the richness of literary texts as alternative media in learning guidance and counseling courses for Special Populations in the Guidance and Counseling study program. Through literary media, theoretical abilities in analyzing the character of special populations can be more easily understood and put into direct practice

Abstract

This research aims to describe the intrinsic elements and social criticism in the poetry collection "Surat Kopi" by Joko Pinurbo to be used as teaching material for literary appreciation in high school. This research uses a qualitative descriptive type or approach, literature study methods and content analysis techniques. The steps used by researchers in collecting data are as follows: (1) transcription of data from the form of reading the entire content of the poem to be studied; (2) determine the form of intrinsic elements and social criticism; (3) determine the meaning contained in poetry related to intrinsic elements and social criticism; (4) grouping data; (5) draw conclusions. Based on the results of the analysis of the thirty poems in the Surat Kopi anthology by Joko Pinurbo, there are thirty poems which are included in the intrinsic elements which are studied from the physical structure, namely: diction, figurative language, imagery, rhyme, rhythm and typography. As well as the inner structure, namely: theme, feeling, tone and atmosphere, purpose or message. The social criticism includes 4 poems including the Education Sector, 4 poems including the Economic Sector, 5 poems including the Religious Sector, 7 poems including the Moral Sector, 6 poems including the Family Sector, 1 poem including the Cultural Sector, 1 poem including the Gender Sector, and 2 poems including Political Field. The thirty poems in the Surat Kopi anthology by Joko Pinurbo can be used as learning material for literary appreciation in the independent curriculum in high school. This poetry can be studied from intrinsic elements, namely physical structure and inner structure as well as social criticism, which are included in contemporary poetry

Abstract

Rhetoric is the art of face-to-face verbal communication from an individual to a general audience. Studying the art of rhetoric has many advantages, so students need to master this speaking technique. The research method uses qualitative methods with interview data collection techniques for guidance and counseling students at Mathla'ul Anwar University (UNMA) Banten. Rhetoric is one of the skills that students must learn, including guidance and counseling students who will have a lot of contact with other people as counselors or guidance counselors at school. Research results show that rhetoric is an important part of lectures. In the future, studying rhetoric will be very beneficial. These skills will become soft skills that are taken into account both in the university environment and in the work environment. When someone has a good way of communicating, they will have their own charm and be respected by other people. Researchers limit the problem studied in this paper to the benefits gained from studying rhetoric for the future.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the meaning and function of mantras in the Cibaliung Pandeglang Banten area. The study conducted by the researcher includes what meanings are contained in the mantras and what functions are in the mantras. Meaning is a description of the mantras that indirectly provide messages to us as readers and those who preserve them, especially the people in Cibaliung village. Mantras also function to provide solutions or ways out when people experience obstacles in their lives. The method used is a descriptive qualitative method, namely analyzing mantras in their meaning and function, and the author conducts interviews with informants who have these mantras. Thus, the research will be objective and the author obtains relevant data.

Abstract

the purpose of writing this thesis is to describe the message or meaning contained in the lyrics of Sundanese selawat in Pamarayan village, Jiput sub-district and its use as learning material in junior high schools. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach with descriptive methods that focused on content analysis. The data and data sources in this research are Sundanese selawat texts in Pamarayan village, such as: words or lyrics of Sundanese selawat. The instrument used in this research was the researcher himself with a theory validation test. Based on the description of the results of the analysis of moral values and religious values in Sundanese Selawat poetry in Pamarayan Village, Jiput District, Pandeglang Regency and its use as poetry learning material in junior high schools, several moral value messages were found in the lyrics of this Sundanese Selawat poetry, including: worship, pray, repent, be grateful, take care of yourself, be patient, not be greedy, not be arrogant, respect parents, respect teachers, and love peace. And several religious value messages were found in the lyrics of this Sundanese Selawat poetry, namely: repentance, patience and trust. The results of this research can be implied as learning material in junior high schools

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of the Project Based Learning Model on students of X SMKIT MA Bolang. This research was conducted using the experimental method. Class X students for the 2024/2025 academic year were used as the population. The samples taken were class X AP1 and class X AP3 with a total of 92 students. The sample technique uses Random Sampling. The results of posttest calculations using the Project Based Learning learning model obtained Mean (x ̃) = 81.06, Median (Me) = 81.00, Mode (Mo) = 80.00, Variance = 21,596, and Standard Deviation = 4,647. Meanwhile, posttest calculations using the conventional data processing learning model obtained Mean (x ̃)= 73.47, Median (Me) = 74.50, Mode (Mo) = 75, Variance = 15,568, and Standard Deviation = 3,946. Based on the data above, it can be said that the Project Based Learning learning model is considered good, while the Conventional learning model is considered sufficient. From the results of the analysis above, it can be concluded that there is a positive influence of using the Project Based Learning learning model on the ability to write narrative essays of class X SMKIT MA Bolang students. Abstract

Imagination suggestion method through instrumental music media on the poetry writing skills of class XI high school students. Difficulty in thinking creatively in high school students is characterized by students having diffuculty working on questions that are different from those given by their teachers. This research aims to determine the difference in the influence of the writing skills of students who learn using the imagination suggestion method and students who use the literacy learning method. The method in this research uses quantitative methods. The population and sample in this study were class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Cihara in 2 classes seleced at random or random sampling, The isntrument used in this research was a poetry writing skills test. The test used is a question type test. Based on the results of data analysis from this research, the conclusions were obtatiend: There is a difference in the influence of the poetry writing skills of students who learn using the imagination suggestion method and students who learn using the literacy method. The poetry writing skills of students who learn the imaginave suggestion method are better than students who learn using the literacy method. This can be seen from the results of the hypotesis test, namely by using the Mann-Whitnney Test from the results of the gain score data, that the results obtained are an Asymp Sig value of 0,005 < 0,05, meaning that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. So it can be stated that there is a significant difference in the influence of the imaginative suggestion method through instrumental music on the poetry writing skills of high school students. Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of comic media on the writing ability of short stories of Grade XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Cijaku in the academic year 2024/2025. The ability to write short stories is an important aspect in the Indonesian language learning process aimed at developing students' creativity, imagination, and language skills. However, students often face difficulties in writing short stories, especially in generating story ideas, developing plots, and using language effectively. This research uses an experimental method with a Control Group Pre-Test Post-Test Design. The research population consists of all Grade XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Cijaku, totaling 123 students. The sampling technique used Random Sampling, resulting in Grade XI-1 being selected as the experimental group and Grade XI-4 as the control group, each with 30 students. The experimental group received short story writing lessons using comic media, while the control group used series of pictures as media. Data was collected through pre-test and post-test of short story writing ability. Data analysis used independent t-test to observe significant differences between the two groups. The results of the analysis indicate a positive and significant influence of using comic media on the writing ability of short stories of Grade XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Cijaku. The average post-test score of the experimental group using comic media (78.36) was higher compared to the control group using picture series media (64.46), with a calculated t-value of 8.620 and a critical t-value of 1.684 at a significance level of α = 0.05. The calculated t-value is greater than the critical t-value, therefore based on the hypothesis testing criteria, H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. This indicates that comic media is more effective in enhancing the writing ability of short stories of students compared to picture series media. This research has important implications for Indonesian language teachers in selecting appropriate learning media to enhance students' short story writing abilities. Comic media can be an effective alternative to increase students' motivation, interest, and writing skills. Furthermore, this research also provides recommendations for schools to provide innovative and engaging learning media for students, making the learning process more effective and enjoyable.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze locutionary and perlocutionary speech acts in the official iNews Youtube media broadcast regarding the first and third debates of the 2024 presidential candidates, and to explore its use as teaching materials at the high school level. Locutionary speech acts refer to what is literally said by the speaker, while perlocutionary speech acts relate to the effects or impacts caused by the utterance on the listener. Through a descriptive qualitative method on the debate video transcript, this study identified patterns of language use related to political communication strategies, arguments, and rhetoric applied by the presidential candidates. The overall data results that the author has obtained are 96 data. Based on the type of locutionary speech act 47 data consisting of 26 news sentences, 3 command sentences and 18 interrogative sentences. Then the type of perlocution 49 data consisting of happy 30 data, emotional 10 data, sad 6 data and afraid 3 data. This study also examines how the debate material can be used to teach language skills and critical thinking in high school, by providing concrete examples of how language can influence public opinion and political thought processes. The results of this study are expected to provide insight for educators on the application of speech act theory in practical contexts and add to the methods of learning language and political communication in high school

Abstract

This research aims to determine: 1) the ability to write anecdotal texts for class X SMA Negeri 1 Malingping students using learning media in the form of the Canva application; 2) the ability to write anecdotal texts for class X SMA Negeri 1 Malingping students using learning media in the form of the PixelLab application. This research was conducted using the experimental method and class X students for the 2023/2024 academic year as the population. The sample technique uses random sampling. The samples taken were class X E-6 and class X E-10 with a total of 74 students. The results of post-test calculations using the Canva application obtained Mean (????̅) = 81.24, Median (Me) = 80.00, Variance = 76,088 and standard deviation = 8,723. Meanwhile for the control class post-test scores used PixelLab application, namely, Mean (????̅) = 67.69, Median = 68.00, Variance = 92.961 and standard deviation = 9.642. Based on the data above, it can be said that learning media in the form of the Canva application is considered good, while learning media in the form of the PixelLab application is considered adequate. From the results of the data above, it can be concluded that there is a positive influence of the use of learning media in the form of the Canva application on the ability to write anecdotal texts in class X SMA Negeri 1 Malingping students.
